Summary: THE OTHER GUYS ARE RIGHT ABOUT THIS ONE.
Review: I saw this on PPV, lets hope the WWF cleans this up a little before releasing it. The matches were umm well sloppy as he&%. The intro however is probably the best I've ever seen with Classy Freddy Blassie and a run down of the last 20 years of WWF Champions. As usual Raw or Smackdown viewers would expect Vince comes out at the beginning of the show (this was the single thing WCW didn't do on Nitro that I actual liked) and goes on his usual tiraid, what a suprise he's interupted by Flair and by the time there done you wonder "what was the point of all that?". Finally the first match begins and after Test/Christian and Scotty 2 Hotty/Blbert...Hip Hop Hippo..yeah..OK, come out you wish Flair and Vince never left. The match would generously be considered [garbage] with with Scotty and Albert getting the win. Edge vs Reagal is better than it sounds but not by much. Then theres the possible show stealing Hardy vs Hardy match with a prematch interview where you can tell Lita had chin surgery. The match which seemed like it couldn't miss bombed completely and was very sloppy. Met with absolute silence from the crowd the match mercifully ended with a Jeff win. The tag straps were up next in a pretty solid match seeing the Dudley's getting the Duke on Kane and the Show. As usual Rob Van Dam carries the PPV's best match which didn't really spend to much time in the ring by the way. Regardless Taker and RVD go full tilt and renewed Taker as well a bad mother[...]. A clip is shown of Trish and Rock flirting, like everybody doesn't know Johnson's married. The Trish vs Jackie match was absolutly horrible with Jackie obviously the more accomplished wrestler. We finally get to the three whatevers and Austin and Angle which was just like all there other matches with Austin comming out on top and the crowd as fickle as ever. The Rock and Jericho match was well exactly the same as well with Jericho getting the win with a screw job. Austin comes out as soon as Rock is pinned and the match isn't all that bad but ultimately another screw job and Jericho is the man, he balls and the crowd boo's but common its about time the monotony is ended. All in all pretty weak...RVD Taker great match. And Triple H promo AWESOME...M'KA!

Summary: Another Rushed PPV
Review: If you watched RAW the Monday after this PPV, you basically caught everything you needed to. It was just another rushed PPV like Backlash always is. However, it was the first appearance of the Underbiker's short hair in a PPV. Woooo. If you haven't seen it, it's definately worth the rent. If you buy it you probably want to own every WWF DVD, which totally reeks of awesomeness, or you want to have some proof that Jericho isn't the jobber he has become. One final note, the box art will probably feature HHH and in case you didn't know, HHH wasn't in this PPV.

Summary: Quality on WWF DVDs continues to drop
Review: Instead of rating the content of the DVD's, I just offer my opinion about the quality of the presentation. A WWF Pay Per View event that I love, you could hate, and vice versa. But a cheap DVD is a cheap DVD.

WWF Vengeance first aired on December 12, 2001 in San Diego, California, USA. This was the PPV event to tie up all the loose ends (multiple championship belts) left over from the Invasion storyline. Or something.

The event was okay, but the DVD is very lacking. Once again WWFE punks us out and releases a bare-bones DVD with no extras and not even a "liner note" insert inside the case. How friggin' cheap can you get, McMahon? If we have to job to a $25 DVD at least have the decency to insert a paper liner note in the case like all the old WWF DVD's had. Toss us a bone.

WWF Vengeance rating:
Event +3 stars.
No Extras -1 star
No liner notes -1 star
------------
Final Total - 1 star.

Summary: The Ultimate Dusty Finish
Review: It's really quite sad watching this video now(September 2002). The reason is because this is actually a very strong show, both wrestling-wise and entertainemtn-wise, and at the time looked to be the show where wrestlers like Chris Jericho, Jeff Hardy and Edge were finally going to be elevated to the big-time. The 4-man mini-tournament to crown the first "undisputed" World Champion is very strong the whole way through, and should have set the tone for future WWF/E shows. Sadly, the usual suspects have since reclaimed "their" spots.....

Summary: CHRIS JERICHO NOT SO UNDISPUTED...
Review: Let s speak the truth...Vengeance could have been the most anticipated PPV of the year,it was certainly not the greatest!!
Such matches as Scotty 2 Hotty & Albert Vs Christian and Test and Trish Vs Jacquie were just a waste of time...Now this PPV has some great moments you dont want to miss...Undertaker stopping RVD's 5 months reign as Hardcore Champ and of course the 3 Championship matches with the incredible marathon of Y2J to claim dominance over the Rock & Stone Cold...All in all,it was merely a decent PPV!! Lets hope the bonuses added on the dvd will be worth the purchase but seriously Y2Js performance deserves it...So judge yourself!!!!!

Summary: Not a GREAT show but good enough
Review: Match 1
Scotty 2 Hotty and Albert v Test and Christian
**
This was not bad when Scotty was in the ring but Albert can not be made out to be a good wrestler at all.

Match 2
WWF IC Title
Edge v William Regal
***3/4
They blended well for being two VERY different wrestlers. I expected a good match from these two and got one. Look for some innovative stuff outside the ring.

Match 3
Matt Hardy v Jeff Hardy
**1/2
Bad match considering what I was expecting. Unfortunate. It was not bad but could and should have been MUCH better.

Match 4
WWF Tag Team Titles
Dudleyz v Show and Kane
***
Better than I expected. Some great energetic stuff, apart from The Big Show. Kane and The Dudleyz have faced off in some good matches.

Match 5
WWF Hardcore Title
Rob Van Dam v The Undertaker
****1/4
Some GREAT brawling here. More good stuff from a very good Hardcore division recently.

Match 6
Women's Title
Jacky v Trish
DUD
Why ?

Match 7
Steve Austin v Kurt Angle
****1/2
Match of the night so far. Good storytelling.

Match 8
The Rock v Chris Jericho
****3/4
WHAT A MATCH !

Match 9
Undisputed Title
Chris Jericho v Steve Austin
***1/2
Too short but that HAD to be expected because Jericho never got a rest. Good stuff but overbooking killed it.

Summary: Vengeance delivered big
Review: No 5 star ratings yet? You ppl are a bit 2 harsh, this PPV was the third best of the year behind No Mercy and then Wrestlemania x-seven (Greatest of all time i might add, u no fan unless u have it) Anyways this PPV was great besides a few boring pointless matches like scotty 2 hotty and albert tag match, Trish Vs. Jackie....sleeper but every other match was great Undertaker and RVD match of the night, and the 3 matches for the undisputed title could have been the best matches if it wernt for the screw jobs by Booker T and Vince....Jericho wins, Austin should have won, what? Austin 3:16 should have won....what? geez thats catching on. One more thing Austins original music is back, can u feel it? The old Austin, Mcmahon Vs. Austin part two is getting good. I will laugh if they put the grocery store and church scenes between austin and booker as extras, all in all great PPV, Mark your calender January 22, and ORDER NOW!

Summary: Historic WWF Event
Review: On this event, the WWF championship and the championship of the now-out-of-business WCW, are united and awarded to the winner of the main event, making him the first ever UNDISPUTED world champion of wrestling!!!
The main event was very very awesome. Great efforts by all the wrestlers. Also very impressive was the hardcore title match between Rob Van Dam and The Undertaker, and The IC title match between Edge and William Regal.
Other than that this event had his share of filler, but still it was a great WWF event. Recommended!
