Summary: I've Seen A LOT Better Than This
Review: As a longtime fan of wrestling, not to mention owner of the previous 17 Wrestlemanias on video, I have to say that this was by far one of the WORST Wrestlemanias to date. First of all, there was absolutely nothing spectacular about this event. There were three musical performances. One of which was in the beginning of the show which made me wonder if this was a wrestling event or a rock concert. Secondly the matches were nothing special. You could turn on RAW Monday nights and see the same calabre of matches that were given at Wrestlemania X8.

The only exception (which is why I'm giving this 2 stars instead of 1) is the Hogan/Rock match. This was basically the only match I enjoyed during the entire 3 1/2 hours I sat and watched this. It was nice to see Hogan have a quality match in a WWF ring once again, and he definitely proved that he still rocks.

All in all, this doesn't come close to being one of the best Wrestlemanias ever. Last year's (X7) was a million times better than this.

Summary: A Must Have for ALL Wrestling Fans!
Review: I was second row in the balcony and it was the best wrestling event i have ever, AND I MEAN EVER, seen in my life. The HOGAN/ ROCK match was [great], and the main event was just as good!

Summary: Simply Put, The Greatest Match EVER: Hogan Vs. Rock
Review: Wrestlemania 18 will not blend into the background with it's predecessors. This Wrestlemania will stand on it own merits for years to come and all because of the greatest match of all-time: Hollywood Hulk Hogan Vs. The Rock. I have been a wrestling fan for the better part of 20 years and I've seen a lot of great matches: Shawn Michaels Vs. The Undertaker(Hell in a Cell), Mankind Vs. The Undertaker(Hell in a Cell), The Rock Vs. Stone Cold Steve Austin, Jimmy Snuka Vs. Don Muraco, Hulk Hogan Vs. Roddy Piper; but this moment in wrestling history outshines them all. Sure Hogan is old and slow, but for one night all those Hulkamaniacs all over the world were 10 years old again and waiting for him to drop the leg and get the 1-2-3. Of course, he didn't which was somewhat disappointing but it was necessary. The torch has not been properly passed in the WWF since Hogan's departure to WCW. But now with Wrestlemania 18 not only does Hogan solidify his position as the absolute BEST EVER in the business, but he also pushes The Rock on the road to maybe someday eclipsing his legend. Make no bones about it folks, there would be no Rock without Hulk Hogan. The rest of the card is hit and miss but just being able to witness the Skydome crowds reaction to the most legendary match ever should be more than enough for you to buy this dvd. Highly Recommended.

Summary: hogan vs rock
Review: This should be a great dvd...but be warned!
The WWF has not said if they plan to edit the
crowd noise during the Hogan vs Rock match.
On the replay following the live ppv...they edited
the match with just cheering for Hogan AND Rock.
All the booing and jeers for the Rock had been
taken out. I fear they may do this for the dvd release
as well. Be forewarned.

Summary: "Great WrestleMania"
Review: WWF Wrestlemania 18 was truly a great WWF show. Many matches were good, some were great, and some were decent. But none were horrible. I can't really say that this year's WrestleMania was better than last year's. I don't know. Is the nWo good or bad?
We'll see. Here are the matches:

WrestleMania kicks off with an Intercontinental Title Showdown with RVD taking on William Regal. Finally, Regal learns his lesson by getting hit with the brass knuckles and losing the match when RVD hits the Five Star Frog Splash. Very entertaining. It's always good to see RVD do crazy stunts.
7/10.

Next match, a European title fight between the cry-baby CHristian and DDP. A fairly good match. In the end, DDP hits the Diamond Cutter on Christian and retains. Ooooooh, poor baby Christian throws a thantrum. 7/10.

The third match of the night is for the Hardcore Championship. Maven fights Goldust. After several interferences, Hurricane comes along with Al Snow and Spike Dudley. Hurricane then pins Spike and wins the Hardcore Championship, dashing out of sight.
8 and a half/10.

The fourth match is Angle vs Kane. The Big Red Machine goes a lot for the chokeslam and Angle goes a lot for the Ankle Lock. Angle finally hits some kind of suplex and uses the ropes for leverage. Wins the match. Backstage, Hurricane goes into a room with the Godfather's ladies. Godfather tries to attack him and steal his championship but Hurricane escapes. This match was not that good because it was announced 6 days before WrestleMania meaning there wasn't much hatred.

The fifth match was a brutal and bloody no disqualification match between the Undertaker and Flair. I mean, at the Royal RUmble it wasn't clear that Flair would win. But when a 50 year old guy faces the Undertaker, who do you think wins? Let me give you some hints, 10-0 at WrestleMania, Tombstone. 7/10.

The sixth match was between Booker T and Edge. Fairly entertaining. Very good and enjoyable. Edge hits the Edge-Ecution and wins the battle. Backstage, Hurricane is about to get away on his Hurricycle when Mighty Molly comes and cracks a pan on Hurricane's head. You guessed it. Molly becomes Hardcore Champion! 9/10.

The seventh match was one of the best as Stone Cold took on Scott Hall. Stone Cold was very strong in this match as Hall and Nash each took about two Stunners. You know what happens. Stone Cold stunners Hall, pins him, and drinks some beer with the crowd. 10/10.

The eight match was a four team elimination for the Tag Team Championship between Billy and CHuck, Hardy Boyz, Dudley Boyz, and the APA. The Apa were eliminated first, followed bythe Dudleyz and Hardyz and Billy and Chuck retained the Championship. Backstage, Molly got smacked by a door held by Christian. Christian pinned her and became new Hardcore Champion. 8/10.

The ninth match was one that made history as Hollywood Hogan took on The Rock. The best match of the night was amazing as each of them went for each other's finishers. In the end, it was Hogan who received two Rock Bottoms and a People's Elbow to lose the match. Hogan shook hands with the Rock but suddenly the nWo attacked him. When Rocky helped Hogan out, they exchanged taunts with the crowd. Hogan was now not part of the nWo. Yeah! 11/10. The biggest match in the History of Wrestling.

The tenth match was the most boring one, probably because it was for the Women's Championship. I'll just skip it. Also, Maven attacks Christian in the back and steals the Championship from him. Christian throws a tantrum again. 3/10.

The main event was a bomb as Triple H took on Chris Jericho for the Undisputed Championship. Triple H finally accomplished his dream and pinned Jericho after he Pedigreed him. 10/10. BEST PART: Stephanie gets a Pedigree!

Overall:9/10. Probably the best event in wrestling in 2002.

1.RVD vs William Regal.IC championship match.5 star match. Both men put all their effort into this match.Regal puts 2 moves in RVD that are undescribable.RVD lands on his neck during both of these moves.***** 5 stars.

5.Undertaker vs Ric flair. No DQ match.Could have been better.Although the match did have its high points.Flair is just too old to carry on an action packed match like he did with savage & steamboat.3 and a half stars.
6.Edge vs Booker T.Stupid story lines leading up to this match. Awesome match though. These 2 men have alot of potential and will definatly be main eventing before the year is over.5 star match.
7.Scott Hall vs Stone Cold.Pretty good match between 2 veteran brawlers.A little slow moving so i give it 4 stars.
8.Tag team title elimanation match:Billy & chuck vs Dudleyz vs Hardyz vs APA.Excellent action packed match between 8 men with a lot of talent.GREAT bump by D-von from the top rope, face first through a table outside the ring.5 star match.
9.Hollywood Hulk Hogan vs The Rock.A ton of hype going into this match,& Hogan and Rock lived up to it all. This match will go down in the record books as one of the best ever.Words cant explain how great this match was. What made it even better was that the fanse were so into it,that made it even better to watch.Definatly, without a question,a 5 stae match.
10.Jazz vs Lita vs Trish.Women's title.3 of the most talented women's wrestlers ever.Unbeleivably great match.Much better than those fat potatoes of the 80's,or those stupid not talents of 98-2000.This was a downright great womens match.5 stars.

Summary: Not hyped enough
Review: Yeah, I know WrestleMania was hyped, but not compared to WrestleMania X7. Remember the huge build-ups to EVERY match? The only matches hyped this year were Rock vs. Hogan, Hall vs. Austin, Taker vs. Flair, and HHH vs. Jericho. I'm sorry but I did not buy the PPV for any of those matches. What about the Four Corners Tag Team Match, or Booker T vs. Edge, or the Triple Threat Women's Title Match, or Kurt Angle vs. Kane, or William Regal vs. RVD, or even DDP vs. Christian? These matches all contained great competitors. I, for one, was looking forward to the women's division finally become a competitive division. With Mighty Molly, Ivory, Lita, Trish Stratus, and Jazz there's no reason the division can't become great. And it would've had WWF built up to this match. Anyways, the only extremely great matches in my opinion were Hogan vs. Rock, Angle vs. Kane, & the Triple Threat Women's Title match. The main event was horrid! ....

Summary: One of the Best Ever!!!
Review: This was no doubt one of the Wrestlemania's of all time! Especially since it had 4 main events. Here is a recap:
1. Rob Van Dam vs William Regal for the IC title- 4/5
This didn't have much of a good build up, but was still a great opening bout.

2. Diamond Dallas Page vs Christian for the European title- 3/5
Both are great wrestlers, but didn't give it all they had.

3. Maven vs Goldust for the Hardcore title- 4/5
The only reason this was good was they used the 24/7 rule all night and had 5 title changes with Maven getting the last laugh.

4. Kurt Angle vs Kane- 4/5
These men lived up to their reputation about not giving up, they had a great match.

5. The Undertaker vs Ric Flair- 5/5
This was one of the main events and the bloodiest match of the night.

6. Edge vs Booker T.- 4/5
They put on a great show and a great match.

7. Stone Cold Steve Austin vs Scott Hall- 2/5
This was supposed to be a main event match. From the way the match went, it should have just been the first match. Had great build up, then a sorry match.

8.Tag Team Battle Royal for Tag Team titles- 3/5
I just wish any of the teams except Billy and Chuck would have won this match. Still good match though.

9. The Rock vs Hollywood Hulk Hogan- 10/5
The winner was supposed to be the absolute best. Well, the match was no doubt the absolute best of the night. It was one of the main events but should have been the last match. Like I said, it was the best of the night. Seeing Hogan and Rock shake hands was the freeze frame of the night. Also seeing Hogan pass the torch to The Rock was really cool too.

10. Jazz vs Trish vs Lita for the Women's title-3/5
Really good match. Trish comes out all Canadian.

11. Triple H vs Chris Jericho for the Undisputed Championship- 5/5
The final main event, and it did live up to the hype. Triple H finally Pedigreed Stephanie and Jericho finally lost the Championship.
All in All, a great Pay Per View. The main reasons to get it would be The Rock vs Hogan, Flair vs Undertaker, and Triple H vs Jericho.
