Summary: Near perfect, but...
Review: Following the success of the Ric Flair DVD, WWE releases a 2 disc set featuring the career of Mick Foley. This set has just about every great moment from Mick's career that any die hard Foley fan could ask for. You get to see Mick during his WCW, ECW and SMW days as well as his best WWE moments (many being released on DVD for the first time). They even include rare moments such as Mick's first WWE match from Superstars back in 1986 where the Dynamite Kid broke his jaw with a stiff clothesline (Mick wrote about this moment in "Have a Nice Day"). Rare promos and interviews are also shown. Plus, most of the material for this set was handpicked by Mick himself, in fact, Mick provided the edited footage from his infamous bout with Vader from WCW Saturday Night so that we the fans could finally see the match uncensored! If you only know Mick from his WWE Attitude era days (the Monday Night Wars), then you must buy this set in order to experience every facet of this unique career. New fans will be blown away by his stiff and brutal match with Big Van Vader, the unreal hardcore encounters with Sabu (my personal favorite wrestler) and his legendary encounters with good friend Terry Funk! Also, Mick hosts the video himself giving insite before and after each match. It's like viewing a wrestling version of "Masterpiece Theatre"! I hope all future WWE superstar DVDs are done this way. So, with such a glowing review so far, why am I only giving this collection 3 stars? There are some glaring problems I had with this collection. First, I bought this set to see 2 of the bonus matches: Mick vs. Sabu the rematch and Mick vs. Sting from Beach Blast. As an extra feature they added Mick and the Coach on commentary for both of these classic bouts. The commentary is great and adds a lot of inside information to what's going on in the ring, but there is no way to switch over to the matches original audio! So, you have to listen to Mick and the Coach everytime you view these matches. Audio commentaries are great...the first listen, but after that, I want to hear the original audio. Unfortunately, for what ever reason, WWE didn't think we should have that option. Then, there is the problem of all the matches from the Attitude era being heavily edited. Every visual trace and audio comment referring to the "WWF" must be censored from these matches. So, 6 matches get this distracting and irritating editing from start to finish. If you bought the Bloodiest Steel Cage Matches DVD then you know what I'm talking about. Hell in the Cell, Mankinds title win, Dude Love vs Stone Cold, Cactus vs HHH, Mick vs Funk and the classic street fight against HHH for the title at the Royal Rumble are ruined as far as I'm concerned. This may not bother some fans, but I can't stand it.
So, buy this to see Mick's classic moments from ECW (the Sabu matches are unreal!!!!) and WCW, but don't get excited about the WWE footage. Since both the Rock and Steve Austin came up during the Attitude era, can you imagine how heavily edited those matches will be once their own career DVDs are released? Uggghhh!!!!!

Summary: All hail Foley
Review: I am i hordcore fan and love everything that Mick foley has accomplished in his 17 years of wreastling. This dvd has many great foley matches that had me on the edge of my seat. Foley appears under 4 diffrent names, cacus jack, dude love, mankind, and as himself, Mick foley. Also in one of the extra matches he appears aganist the british bulldogs under the name, "jack" foley. This dvd really could have used matches like halftime heat, a boiler room match and his hell in a hell match with HHH. Also 6 or 7 wwe or really wwf matches have the wwf logo censored out. Some people are saying its an eye sore and takes away from the match. I am not saying they are wrong but for me it wasnt that bad. The bonus material goes by really fast so dont watch it all at once.
Overall this dvd is a very good buy. Its a good addition to your dvd collection. If you enjoyed Foley's books "Have a nice day" and "Foley is good" this is the dvd for you.

Summary: Great Matches Ruined by Digital Covering
Review: I am one of Mick Foley's biggest fans, but WWE ruined some classic matches with the poor digital covering of the old WWF symbol.

It was impossible not to notice all the blurred-out symbols, and try as hard as I could, I couldn't enjoy the matches affect.

The matches are great, but I won't be buying WWE home videos from now on -- not until this practice of blurring out the WWF symbols ends.

Summary: Great Dvd for A Great Wrestler
Review: I got this as a gift the toher day. I actually watched it all already. Those shots by Vader to Foley's head were brutal. You see them connect unlike a lot of other wrestler's punches in the business. Sabu and Foley: If you see these two names in one match you know it will be crazy.

Foley in my opinion had his best matches in his career against Undertaker, Terry Funk, and Stone Cold. All of which you can see on this dvd. Every match has it's share of brutality in it. It's amazing that Foely is actually walking today. He gives you insight on each match before and after that match happens. So get this dvd NOW!!!!

Summary: AWESOME!!!
Review: I just bought this on Monday and here are my thoughts.

Disc 1:

Cactus Jack Vs. Big Van Vader - Not sure why this was put on here. A very slow match with a lot of stalling from both men. Their classic from Halloween Havoc would have been better than this. **

Cactus Jack And Maxx Payne Vs The Nasty Boys - Great brawl that is really fun to watch. ****3/4

Cactus Jack Vs Sabu - Bleh. Not much here. **

Cactus Jack Vs Chris Candido- This is the first time I watched a match from SMW. Really good match, one of the best on the set. ***3/4

Cactus Jack Vs The Sandman - The less said the better. -*

Cactus Jack And Raven Va Terry Funk And Tommy Dreamer - Mixed feelings as I'm not much of a ECW fan. However, again a lot of fun to watch with a lot of weapons used. ***3/4

Cactus Jack Vs Mikey Whipwreck- Foley's last match in ECW. A great match and great way to go. ****

Disc 2

Mankind Vs Shawn Michaels - One of the best matches ever in the history of the WWE. *****

Cactus Jack Vs HHH - From RAW 1997. Really good brawl espically for RAW. The video shown at the beginning with all three of Foley's personalities talking to each other is awesome. ***3/4

Dude Love Vs. Stone Cold Steve Austin (Over The Edge 1998) - Second best on the set. Great mix of ring action with some spectacular brawling as well. *****

Mankind Vs. The Undertaker - Foley almost killing himself does not make a great match. Very sloppy match. The chokeslam through the cage was an accident. Match is * Historic Value is *****

Mankind Vs. The Rock - From RAW 1999 - This is Foley's first title win. The match was pretty good but the moment is awesome. **3/4

Cactus Jack Vs. Triple H - Street Fight - There is not enough good to say about this match. Both men worked there asses off and one of the best brawls EVER was the result. *****

This is a mixed bag of good stuff and some average stuff, but the good far outweighs the bad. This is a great DVD set. My only suggestions would be to have included:

Hell In A Cell - No Way Out 2000 *****
Texas Death Match- Halloween Havoc 1993 ****1/2

If those were included this would be one of the best DVDS the WWE ever released. However BUY THIS NOW!!!

I did not include any rating for the Terry Funk match because I didn't think it should have been on this.

Summary: Mick What a guy
Review: I just got this DVD, I was expecting something spectacular!!!!! Well it's pretty good, but not extraordinary. Personally I did not really enjoy the first disk, because first of all: I don't know d guys he is wrestling, 2nd I became a wrestling fan in the late 90's and these matches are from the beginning and the mid 90's and finally I have never liked WCW or ECW, from the very beginning WWF/WWE was the leader in wrestling and sports entertainment. The extras are nice in the first disk. The 2nd disk is amazing the matches are great; overall it's much better than the first disk. Finally this DVD is pretty good, and a lot of wrestling fan could enjoy it, so buy it. This DVD has 4 hidden easter eggs :):):):), her they are:
