Review: I can't believe how great of a movie this was! It wasn't a huge release of anything to make me believe it would have been that great. The plot was ineteresting and kept my attention. The charactors were wonderful. I highly recommend this movie.

Summary: Excellent Movie-Excellent DVD package
Review: I didnt see this film at the theatre, however it was one that I wanted to. I was just too lazy and didnt take the time to see it. However, I did pre-order, and I couldnt wait to see it. As a big fan of African American romance on film (my favorite Love Jones, shot in my home, Chi-town), this movie really moved me. The characters were so real, and you cared what happened to each of them. ...The chemistry was unreal, or I shouldsay, too real. ... There are few films where the love scenes have a real effect on my heart. This is one of the few. We need more movies like this for African Americans. The DVD package is great. They've offered so much more than the film here, with the DVD ROM stuff to the blooper reel and deleted scenes, which were all great to watch. I couldnt get enough of this film, if I could give it 10 stars, I would.

Review: i really enjoyed this film.a little long but overall great.the CHemistry between Omar Epps&Sanaa Lathan was great.the music fit really well in the background as well.Basketball got a real Human element here.the ups&downs from both sides.School Life,Peer Pressure&other elements played out here.Debbi Morgan was good&still as Fine as Ever.the Movie kept my full attention from start to finish.a Great Film very Classy.

Review: Once again, New Line has put out another superb Platinum series DVD. Great acting-Great Screenplay-Great Sound Track.Sanaa Lathan, who also played Wesley Snipes' mother in Blade, along with Omar Epps turn in excellant performances. And a very noticeable performance with alot of spunk by little Kyla Pratt. A very excellent job by producer Spike Lee. As one would probably guess I recommend this superb love story for purchase. If you do see this for rent anywhere don't waste your time. Just go to the nearest retailer and make your purchase. It's well worth it.

Summary: IT gives me chills!
Review: I can't wait for the price to go down. I am going to buy at least 10 copies for my sisters and brothers. It was such a stong love story and it leaves you wanted to jumped inside the film and said you got to make it. MY husband and I watched it, we laugh, I cried, and scream with happiness at the end. All the actors and actress were great. Hey that's my kind of story.

Summary: Chick flick but still a great movie
Review: I got this DVD for my girlfriend, but was supprised about how good it actually was. Love and Basketball probally has one of the better storylines out of all the recent Black Love Movies (i.e. The Wood, The Best Man, Love Jones, etc.). Plus it tells a great story of how basketball careers start and how they can end up. The inclusion of how hard it was for female basketball players to continue playing by going overseas before the WNBA was a great touch. Over all I think there is a little something in here for everyone wether they be male or female, sports fan or love movie junkie (like my lady) lol. Spike Lee is a great director, but I believe is his one of the better producers of our time (since this movie was a "Spike Lee Joint"). He just seems to know who to pick to make a story work. He picked a great director, cast and crew for this one. You WILL enjoy.

Review: I was looking foreward to seeing this movie and it started out good but the ending scene with them going one on one was the one thing in the movie that just made it bad. Omar is great in it and the story is good but the way it was filmed was terrible.

Review: THE BEST MOVIE OF THE YEAR BY FAR. IT IS A MOVIE FULL OF FUN AND LAUGHTER, JOY AND PAIN. IT ALSO HELPS YOU REMEMBER WHATS REALLY IMPORTANT IN LIFE, LOVE. SANAA LATHAN AND OMAR EPPS HAVE A WONDERFUL CHEMISTRY TOGETHER, AND OMAR IS VERY HANDSOME AND SANAA IS VERY PRETTY. IT'S RIGHT UP THERE WITH LOVE JONES, ONE OF THE BEST.

Review: i wanted to see this movie from the very first preview i saw...i couldn't wait to watch it..and it turned out to be 10 times better then i expected...and i don't even really like basketball....every thing was so perfect..it was just such a powerful movie...Monica wanted to be the first woman in the women league..and she did it...Quincy knew that he was making a mistake with that 'flight attendent'... it was just and all togeather great movie....it deserves more then 5 stars...more like 10*

Summary: I love the way this movie portrayed female &male athletes!
Review: I loved this movie!! It took me by surprise when I first saw it...let's be honest I thought it was gonna be about men, men ,men then a lil women...and it took us through the dreams , goals, feelings, pains, and hard work of a women athlete. At the same time it showed how different the male had it compared to the female...I love it..My 11 yr old b-ball playing daughter LOVES it and it inspires her to be herself an athlete and a girl..that women can be pretty and athletic!! Best movie we have seen in 5 years !
