Rating: Summary: kids AND mommies will love this Review: my older son used to watch BE videos all the time when he was younger. but i'm now a convert to these new Baby and Parent Nursery dvds which I recently bought for our 5 month old daughter. she absolutely LOVES them and watches even more attentively than my son used to watch his older videos...it's like magic. and although these dvds are aimed at kids younger than 2 years, even my son at 4 years loves them. and very important to me, the music is actually pleasant for me to hear in the background - even after listening to it for the 1000th time! there's also a 'for parents' chapter which was surprisingly informative, even for a second time parent.
Rating: Summary: We absolutely LOVE Baby Nursery! Review: My youngest son is 8 months old and sits attentively watching the entire show every time I play it. Though he has other baby videos, this one consistently seems to keep his attention best. And my older son, who's 2 1/2 years old, likes to watch too. (Interestingly, there's an option to play this video either with or without animations. They say that the youngest babies like to watch only "real world" toys -- but as kids get older, they begin to like watching animations also. I don't know about other families - but that's definitely been true for my boys.) There's also a "Parent Nursery" section for parents to watch. It talks about how parents can teach reading, math, language and music concepts to their children at a very young age, in a fun and encouraging way (not at all "pushy"), which I found very informative. I try my best to be as active as possible with my kids, and Baby and Parent Nursery is a big help. I highly recommend this DVD.
Rating: Summary: Our new favorite DVD! Review: Of all the baby DVDs/videos out there, I'd say get this one first ... or add it to your collection. My 10 month old definitely likes this one more than any of the others. It calms him down instantly every time we play it, and he's happily glued to the TV the entire time. I like this one the most too, because it's more "educational" than the others, with an excellent introduction to letters and different body parts. Plus, the separate section for parents has information that I found very interesting.
Rating: Summary: An invaluable resource for parents and kids alike Review: This is one of the most-watched videos in the house. Our girls love the toys-and-music segments - and some of the toys are so cool I find myself watching right with them! The language and math development sections are very useful and accessible. They're a great way to help us prepare our young minds to develop and grow. Bravo!
Rating: Summary: FANTASTIC! Review: We own a whole library of baby DVDs, all different brands. This one is CLEARLY the best in my mind. Both of my daughters (2 years old, and 4 months old) love Baby Nursery, and are completely enchanted by the mix of colorful gears, trains, cars, puppets and animations --- even more enchanted than by their other favorite DVDs, which I didn't think was possible! I haven't had time yet to watch the "For Parents" chapters (too busy!), but my husband said that he learned a lot from it.
