Rating: Summary: WWF Raw comes to DVD Review: This DVD starts in 1997 and works it way up to 1999. There are very many good things that this DVD has going for it. Volume 1&2 includes storylines for Stone Cold, The Rock, Undertaker & Kane, D-X (with HHH leading), Val Venis, Chyna, HHH, and the Rock & Sock saga. Some of the negative aspects include them not adding enough Stone Cold vs McMahon, Shawn Michaels as the leader of DX, The Hart family's part in WWF history in 1997. The Rock is not featured prominently enough. But overall, I rate this 4 out of 5 stars. T

Rating: Summary: Outstanding! Review: This has to be the WWE's best DVD release so far. There's a good six hours of classic moments and scenes from "sports entertainment"'s most prolific program. I have 2 qualms. 1 is the lack of non-Attitude era footage. Disc 1 is better with the Austin - McMahon war, Dude Love and the Undertaker vs. Kane story. There's only one cut from 1997 (a classic clip: Stone Cold throwing Rock's belt off a bridge into the lake). 2 is that there are no Shawn Michaels matches. Where's Austin and Michaels vs. Owen & Bulldog from May 97? Notwithstanding (to quote Vince), I still have to give this set 5 stars. Great matches include Rock vs. X=Pac and let's not forget Disc 2 with Triple H vs. The Rock in an I Quit match and Hardy Boyz vs. Edge and Christian. Both discs are really good, match wise. A stunning effort all around.

Rating: Summary: What is wrong with the first 5 years of Raw? Review: This is "The Best" of Raw, but just like the Tenth Year Anniversery show, they seem to forget the early years of Raw. Sure the early years of Raw had alot of jobber matchs, but that is fun to watch compared to today's Triple H show. All matchs on Raw are almost PPV quailty and they wrestle each other over and over; You barely see a good jobbing match anymore. The 93-97 years of Raw may have not been the peak years of Raw, but stop ignoring them!
Rating: Summary: Pretty good, but not enough wrestling Review: this is a pretty good DVD. although in my opinion these aren't exactly the best parts from RAW. it says on the back of the DVD that it starts from 1997, but there are only 1 or 2 things shown from that time period. on the first DVD - best of RAW volume 1, they focus too much on the austin vs mcmahon fued. about half of the DVD is about their fued. and what about DX?? aside from stone cold they were the hottest thing back then and the DVD shows very little of DX. and they only showed the DX with triple H as leader and leave out the original DX with HBK!! (which were much better and funnier in my opinion). the undertaker vs kane fued was good and they showed it pretty well. they also showed some foley stuff which were good but the val venis segments were unnecessary. they should have shown owen hart or ken shamrock instead. the extras on the first DVD are cool, especially the tag match, undertaker and kane Vs the rock, mankind and ken shamrock. i didn't like the 2nd DVD as much but it was OK. the problem is that there was too much talking and not enough action. not enough triple H on that DVD. too much rock stuff. and unlike the first DVD they showed very little austin on the second. they showed the undertaker pretty well. but why focus on chyna?? she .... the best segment in my opinion was the debut of chris jericho. that was really cool. the extras on the 2nd DVD are not as good as the extras on the 1st, but there was this really good "i quit" match between the rock and triple H on the title. OVERALL - pretty good DVD. if you like the WWF you really should get this. although it lacks many important stuff and shows some stupid stuff(val venis, chyna, vince vs shane??) it is very enjoyable if you're a WWF fan, especially if you're a fan who likes the storyline segments and interviews better than the wrestling matches.
