Review: Royal Rumble 2003 isnt the best of the Rumbles but its still worth checking out and we start with

Brock Lesnar vs Big Show (Place in the Rumble)
I found this match a bit more enjoyable than there last bout. Its amazing to see brock man handle show like that and kodus to brock for making that talentless idiot look good **1/2 and it was obvious who was gonna win.

Dudleys vs Regal and Storm (Tag Team Championship match)
Not much to say except, its another one of those **

Dawn vs Torrie

Always fun to see and i didnt even mind the storyline that much -*

Triple H vs Scott (pointless) Steiner (Championship Match)
Wow this has got to be one of the most stupid matches i have ever seen why even bother having these to in a match together. For one thing did anybody ever think steiner can actually wrestle and Triple H hasnt been any good since he killed his leg watching these type of matches will put you of wrestling and i dont need to show how many stars it get cos i can sum up this match with one word BORING.

Kurt Angle vs Chris Benoit (Championship match)
Now if anyone can save the show these to can well they didnt quite but they still put on a good wrestling match and it wasnt there best match together either but still very enjoyable ****

Royal Rumble 2003
It was actually one of the best rumbles ever it never realy slowed down and there were a lot of good moments of coures there was no huge surprise that brock won even if he doesnt deserve to win he can at least put on a good match against Angle at WM19 ****

All in All it was ok i mean it had its moments but i would still say its thumbs in the middle heading down more than up

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Very Good Rumble but a little disappointing.
Review: I won't go into details about all of the matches. But I'll give you the highlites and lowlites of this annual clash.

Highlite
Chris Benoit/Kurt Angle- WORTH THE PPV PRICE ALONE! CLASSIC!
The Rumble Match

Lowlite
No Raw Women Wrestlers
Torrie vs. Dawn Marie-to say it was bad would give bad a bad name.
Brock winning it all with ease.

Because the low points overdo the high points, I must give this a still very good 4 stars.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: one classic and my favorite style match of all time
Review: 1. Brock Lesnar vs. The Big Show ' It is really hard to get excited about a Big Show match, and while Lesnar may be the Next Big Thing (or is he now a Big Thing since he's won the belt already?) he is not able to pull good matches out of less talented opponents. This match was better than it should have been, but was still a nothing match.

2. World Tag Team title match: The Dudley Boyz vs. Lance Storm and William Regal (C) ' You would think that a Tag Team match for the championship that includes one of the best tag teams in WWE history would be pretty good. If you thought this, you would be wrong. If not for the match that followed it, this match would be the worst match on the card. Everyone put on a lackluster performance, and while it may have been nice to see the Dudleyz back together again, it does not make up for a bad match.

3. Torrie Wilson vs. Dawn Marie ' This was the culmination of the horrible Al Wilson (Torrie's real life father) marriage angle with Dawn Marie. This was such a horrible storyline that it rivals the Katie Vick angle for television garbage. The wrestling itself (yes, there is a match buried in here) was garbage, too. Just skip on to the next match, you'll thank me for it.

4. World Heavyweight title match: Triple H (C) vs. Scott Steiner ' I know, I know, I said to skip on to the next match and I bring you to this one. Had this not been for a major championship belt or been this high on the card, I might be more forgiving. However, this was for the RAW title. This match was a stinker. The match was flat out boring and Steiner did nothing put hit one suplex after another. The only parts that were interesting was when Ric Flair got involved.

5. WWE Championship Match: Kurt Angle (C) vs. Chris Benoit ' Can one match redeem everything that has come before it? Yes. Everytime that Kurt Angle and Chris Benoit get in the ring together we are treated with a clinic of everything that is right in wrestling today. This is surely going to be one of the best matches of the year, even at this early date. When the loser of the match gets a standing ovation, you know you just saw something special.

6. The Royal Rumble ' This has always been my favorite type of match, and is probably why the Rumble is always one of my favorite PPVs. Knowing what the main event at Wrestlemania was going to be, I knew who was going to win the Rumble (the winner gets a title shot at Wrestlemania), but even so, this is always a lot of fun to watch. The premise is that two men start in the ring and every 90 seconds (usually two minutes) a new wrestler will enter the match. A superstar is eliminated from the match when he is thrown over the top rope and both feet touch the floor. When all 30 participants have entered the Rumble, the one man who is left in the ring is the winner and gets the shot at Wrestlemania.

On the strength of the last two matches, I enjoyed watching this event. Angle/Benoit was a classic, and I always love the Rumble itself. This is one PPV that is worth checking out and probably worth picking up. I'm happy with my purchase.

Summary: the best royal rumble ever
Review: 1. the first match was big show vs brock lesnar to advance to the rumble match .an exciting and fast match 8/10

2. this match between the dudley boyz vs william regal and lance storm for the world tag team titles . the match was good butcould have been alot better. chef morlay interfed but d-von got him with regals brass nuckels 6/10

3.dawn marie vs torrie wlson. what can i say,a very emotional affair 6/10

4. triple h vs scott steiner for the world hevy weight title . one of the most boring matches ever. steiner got some good sledge hammer shots on triple h though 3/10

5. chris benoit vs kurt anglefor the wwe chapinship. team angle got kicked out of the ring at the start. the match was a little boring at the start but the greatest finsh made up for it. GREAT 9/10

6. was the ROYAL RUMBLE match where 15 raw superstars and15 smackdown superstars went at it . pitty about hbk being elimnanated first but the greatest was when he cameback and eliminated chris jericho. the undertaker returned to the rumble entering at no.30. in short te greatest rumble ever!! 10/10

all up the ppv got a 9/10 rating

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Benoit VS. angle saved it.
Review: 1.Brock Vs. Big Show-short match but since the big show is in it that's a good thing. it's always cool to see a huge guy get tossed around through the air so it wasnt that bad. 7/10

2.Storm/Regal vs. Dudly boys- kind of slow paced, not much action but picks up a bit towards the end. 5/10

3.Torrie vs. Dawn- womens matches [stink]. plus torrie and dawn arent even that hot so it wasnt even good for eye candy. 0/10

4.HHH vs. Scott Steiner-this was a very predictable match, i knew when the match was announced that HHH wouldnt put over steiner(or anyone it would appear, this guy is a real...)but steiner [stinks] anyways. it was funny to hear steiner get booed out of the building. lame match. 4/10

5.Angle vs. Benoit- Great match. Alot of near falls, some technical wrestling, alot of suplexes, some arial stuff. Great match. 9.5/10

6.Rumble- it was alright, not the best rumble match but not the worst. 7/10

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Match of the Year Included
Review: Brock Lesner vs. Big Show
Good opener. Short but sweet match.
7/10

Dudley Boyz vs. Lance Storm & William Regal
Another short match. Decent but no ladder included.
7/10

Dawn Marie vs. Torrie Wilson
Every WWE card has at least one pointless match. In my opinion, this feud was one of the worst angles WWE has ever came up with. A couple of good menuvers by Wilson, but that's it.
3/10

Scott Steiner vs. Triple H
Contrary to the popular claims, this match wasn't that bad. This would have been an OK match back in the 80's. But lack of fancy menuvers would bore today's generation. If you don't like Triple H, you might enjoy this one.
6/10

Kurt Angle vs. Chris Benoit
Until I saw this match, my favorite match was Steamboat vs. Savage at WM III. This match totally blew me away. A match of the year candidate!
10/10

Royal Rumble
Unlike their past two minute gap policy, each wrestler shows up every 90 seconds. Fast paced rumble overall. Muscles dominate at the end. Weak and predictable ending however.
8/10

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Great rumble
Review: Royal rumbles are usually the best ppv's of the year, the only ones to give them a run for their money are the wrestlemanias.
this one is no exception.

brock vs big show - nice opener to start, if you are a brock fan youll like it, nice end to probably the best feud the big show ever had, and the best 3 months of competition he had as well, lets hope it continues. ****

dudley boyz vs storm and regal - not too great, but a good ending to the match. **

torrie vs dawn - ? *

hhh vs steiner - best build up to a match in ages, worst match in ages, their rematch in now way out was 10 times better. *

angle vs benoit - great match! so many high spots, and the action never stops, one great move after another. great crowd reaction, and a nice ending too. *****

royal rumble- not the best rumble, but great nonetheless. many high spots, but no surprise entries, you cant go wrong with a good rumble match. *****

dvd extras include:

-interviews - pretty boring stuff here

-over the top match, rvd vs batista vs kane vs jericho - nice little extra from raw, establishes jericho vs michaels fued
- 3 teasers for takers return - very nice little extra, like getting 3 mini entrance videos for taker, the second one was very well done.
- rumble tv ad + making of - nice extra
and a few other extras not really worth mentioning.

overall, great rumble ppv, nice way to start 2003. if youre looking for a nice recent ppv to buy, look no further. nice theme song too.

Summary: OKPPV: I saw it live.
Review: LesnerVs. Big Slow w/ PaulE
Brock F-5s Big Slow for the w. 7.5/10

Dudleyz vs Storm/Regal RAW tag titles
Worst Dudleyz match ever. Chief Morely tries to interfere. Regal tries the brass knucks But D-Von ducks and Duddleys hit him with the 3D. Only good part is the Dudleyz won. 4/10

Stepmother/Stepdaughter.
an ok match. Torrie has improved scence Invasion.Dawn Marie has also improved from her days in ECW.

HHH W/ Pric Flair vs. Steiner
Scott beats the hell out of HHH but HHH gets DQ'd after hiting Steiner w/ the overrated Sledgehammer "big surprise" 6/10

Angle/Benoit
not one of the classic Beniot/Angle matches but still fairly decent. Benoit taps to ankle lock. best match on the card. 8/10

Royal Rumble
HBK gets eliminated first by Jericho. Y2J had help in Christain distaction and steele chair. HBK gets revenge, attacks jericho after test eliminated him. 'Taker last entrant. cool new music for Big Evil.Maven has a poor memory, he tried to dropkick UT out of the ring like last year, well he failed and last year when he did he got his but handed to him by the Undertaker. You would think after all that Maven would stay away from the Undertaker, but nooo he has to be a big shot well Maven you failed.Your plan backfired are you happy now? HBK first one in, first one out. Taker last one in last one out. Brock wins Taker congratulates him after. one of the best Royal Rumble matches I have ever seen. 8.5/10
All in all Angle,Benoit and the rumble match it self save the ppv.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: mastermind
Review: Winer Advances to the Royal Rumble Match
Brock Lesnar vs. Big Show with Paul Heyman
good opener ****

World tag team Championship
Lance Storm & William Regal vs. Dudley Boyz
were the hell did Regal hide the brass Knuckles ***

First- Ever Stepdaughter vs. Stepmother Match
Torrie Wilson vs. Dawn Marie
the only thing good about this match is the women *

World Heavyweight Championship
Triple H with Ric Flair vs. Scott Steiner
Boring Stiner was in control for the whole time.
HHH was always trying to DQ or count out.
I was just happy that the match ended.
It look like he was doing the same move.

WWE Championship
Kurt Angle was supposed to be with team angle vs. Chris Benoit
good fast paced. If Chris wasn't so fast it would have been boring.

Royal Rumble
I think this was best the Rumble because people came alot faster
there was like 20 people in the ring at one time. The beginning was a dud because of Y2J. Rey Mysterio and Edge made it entertaining. Chistopher Nowinski didn't go into to the ring until number 5 came and he number 3. Y2J has 9 lifes.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Angle v Benoit = Greatest match of all-time
Review: Opening Match, Rumble Qualifying Match: Brock Lesnar v Big Show
Brock went for the F-5 on Paul Heyman, but Big Show intercepted it and choke-slammed him for two. Lesnar soon countered another choke-slam attempt, but Brock countered, pushed Show into Heyman and gave him the F-5 for the 1-2-3. **1/2

RAW Tag Titles: Dudleyz v Lance Storm & William Regal
Chief Morely came to distract the Dudleyz, but D-Von smashed Regal in the head with the Brass Knuckles when the referee was not looking to get the pinfall. **3/4

Dawn Marie v Torrie Wilson
Torrie won. *

RAW World Title: Triple H v Scott Steiner
Steiner hit the Game with over 10 over-head suplexes for the entire match, until HHH tried to get himself disqualified to keep his title by attacking the referee. Hebner ordered the match to continue, so the Game purposely hit Steiner with a sledgehammer to force the DQ. After the match, Steiner applied the 'Steiner Recliner' (!!!) until referees and Eric Bischoff broke it up. * Terrible Match - possibly the worst match in WWE history.

WWE Championship: Kurt Angle v Chris Benoit
Many great wrestling moves were used by both men in this match. After countering the Crippler Crossface many times, Angle applied the Ankle Lock on the Wolverine, who eventually tapped out to award the match to the American Hero. *****+ At the first PPV of the year 2003, we have an instant classic from the two greatest wrestlers currently in the business. This is definitely a must-see match for any wrestling fan.

30-Man Royal Rumble Match
The final four were Undertaker, Lesnar, Batista and Kane. Kane eliminated Batista, Taker eliminated Kane, and Brock finally eliminated Undertaker to win the Rumble match and earn a shot at the WWE Champion at WrestleMania XIX. A very good Rumble match, but not the best one we've ever had. ****

If it hadn't been for the outstanding WWE title match and the great Rumble match, the PPV would have been awful. But luckily, we are saved by two fantastic matches which make the show above average. Recommended only for the Rumble match and WWE Title match, but the rest was easily forgettable and not particularly worth seeing.

Final Score: (/10) 6.5
