Summary: If your interested in yoga, this is the ideal video for you!
Review: I have been extremely satisfied with this video. The filming is very professionally done. The instructors are very pleasant and easy to understand. The two 20 minute sessions offer variety, and are great for someone with a hectic schedule. The workouts themselves are wonderful for beginners. I can't seem to find a single flaw in this program! I highly recommend it!

Summary: another yoga zone favorite
Review: I prefer the 1st program on this dvd..she does a nice, relaxed atmosphere yoga practice. she includes triangle, right angle, warrior..different poses, standing and seated. very very nice. the 2nd part would be great too except in one section he skips the other leg so you have to pause or remember when doing it where he skips it so you're not 'lop sided'. in the first section lisa bennet leads and charles matkin demos and sorta clowns around, esp doing the ab work. very relaxed and pretty much touches most of the more popular yoga poses yet doesn't feel too rushed in the 20 minutes.

Summary: Perfect for pregnancy!
Review: Lots of the reviews here complain that this video is too easy and doesn't provide much of a work-out. I too felt the same way, but now that I'm nearly 3 months pregnant, I've changed my mind! For no reason whatsoever, I feel tired all the time and unable to do my usual power yoga workouts, so I started turning back to this tape a few weeks ago as a substitute. It's wonderful for opening you up (the words of the instructor) and it's very calming. The poses are relatively simple so you should be able to follow along well, even if you are a true beginner. For those of you looking for a gentle exercise routine, this one will certainly put you on the path to fitness.

Summary: More of a gentle, warm-up video
Review: The instructors are very knowledgeable and explain the poses, which is very important. I think that rather than use this as my sole daily yoga practice, I will use it as a warm-up for other exercising. This video is ideally suited to brand-new yoga practioners, rather than those who have done yoga for a while. Nice setting.

Summary: How did this get past Quality Control?
Review: This is a good DVD for a beginner or those days when you just want to coast. BUT I had no idea the errors in the sequences could get so annoying. The price is right but it doesn't justify their carlessness in editing. There has got to be a better quality beginner DVD out there, spend a few extra bucks and get it. This may be a one-off for Yoga Zone, but just in case, I won't be buying anything else from their line.

Review: This tape has two instructors, Lisa and Charlie, and each leads one of the two 20-minute workouts; both workouts place a strong emphasis on breathing. The music is soft and non-intruding in the background, and the outdoor scenery is attractive and soothing.

The first program consists of basic stretches and twists with a few standing poses thrown in. The second program consists of entirely floor poses with no standing poses. The second workout is a bit more challenging, as a few of the poses--table, plank, downward dog--are held for an extended period.

I am an intermediate yoga practitioner, and I found these workouts to be a bit too easy. However, these gentle yoga programs would be very appropriate for the purpose of relaxing and stretching, especially in the morning or before bed. The ease of the workouts would make this tape good for beginners, but because the poses aren't thoroughly explained, beginners should first become familiar with the basic yoga poses via a workout with a greater teaching focus.

Review: Yoga Zone Total Body Conditioning is a winning video because it challenges and stretches every muscle and the two 20 minute workouts fit perfectly into a tight schedule. The engaging instructors are knowledgeable and non-intimidating. Set against a beautiful Jamaican background, they give perfect instruction, while participants smoothly demonstrate the moves with modifications when necessary. The postures flow beautifully, allowing the viewer to feel energized and balanced. Relaxation techniques end each session and proper breathing is emphasized.
