Summary: Every pregnant woman should use this tape!
Review: I absolutely loved this tape! Every day I looked forward to doing yoga because of it. I was never really that good at yoga before I was pregnant, but with the added flexibility from pregnancy and the great video, I felt very confident. I still do yoga to other Yoga Zone tapes, but I miss this one. My only recommendations would be to buy some music (because it doesn't have any), and do the tape every day! Did I say that it helped with labor -- that was a plus!

Summary: Wouldn't be pregnant without it.
Review: I am in my second pregnancy and have found this video very helpful in both. The poses help to relieve alot of the pains and tension common during pregnancy. Whenever my back is killing me, I can do this tape and walk away from it pain free. I loaned it to a friend who had never done yoga before and she loved it. I found that the further along I got in my pregnancy, the better the poses felt. I do not start using it until around 5 months. I will agree with some of the other reviews that the poses are not always held long enough and some music would be a good addition.

Summary: captures the essence of yoga with emphasis on pregnancy
Review: I am not a serious yoga student but have dabbled in yoga for over 15 years. The video beautifully explains the essence of yoga while accurately demonstrating the postures. The focus on health during pregnancy, relief from discomforts and preparation for labor are emphasized with the selected exercises. The yoga master and his wife are the stars of the production which adds to its beauty. I always feel rejuvenated, balanced, and relaxed upon completion of the tape. If you have never done yoga before, you may not understand some of the principles demonstrated, but I urge you not to let that get in your way. I highly recommend this video.

Summary: Excellent video, great for upper back and shoulder problems
Review: I am three months pregnant with twins, and have found the hatha yoga poses in this video to be helpful in maintaining strength and flexibility. I have problems with chronic tightness in my shoulders and neck, and the video is excellent for alleviating stress in that area. The video also focuses on teaching you how breath differently while you are pregnant, and I found the breathing exercises to be helpful and relaxing. I have two caveats about this video. First, it may be difficult for someone with no previous yoga experience to understand all of the instructions. Although I think a novice would still get a lot out of it. Second, I found that the pelvic tilt and sit-up induced some cramping. Other references I have read about yoga during pregnancy recommend not lying on your back to do pelvic or abnominal exercises after the first trimester. So I just fast-forward through that part of the tape.

Summary: The best Pregnancy Yoga Video I Found
Review: I bought three Yoga tapes for pregnancy - this was the only one I could stand doing. I was a daily yoga practitioner before I got pregnant, and then became a weekly class goer after I got pregnant, so I bought this tape to maintain my abilities. I found the discussion helpful and the poses were very good for me. They helped me work on flexibility (one can always hold longer than the video by using the pause button) and the routine was quite nice. I thought this one was much better than the Crunch Yoga Mamma (do not buy) and the Prenatal Yoga by Shiva Rea (which I did not enjoy).

Summary: Like Yoga Zone on the Health Network - Hate this tape
Review: I did this tape once and haven't wanted to do it again. I really like the yogazone segments on the Health Network, but this was disappointing. I didn't like many of the poses. Several of them bothered me or weren't doable / rewarding for me. Also it was generally boring, no music or nice backdrop. The delivery of the instructor just didn't captivate me like the instructors on the TV show. I really liked the TV yogazone instructors and format, but this nothing like that.

Summary: Man and Dummy
Review: I didn't think this tape has nearly enough yoga postures and doesn't hold most of them nearly long enough. In the 55-minute tape, there is perhaps 20 minutes of workout and the rest is breathing and the man who does the tape talking, while his pregnant wife silently does everything he says (occasionally interjecting with her strange, useless information about how a pose made her feel).

Summary: Pleased with purchase
Review: I don't know a thing about yoga. I always wanted to try it but never actually went to a class. I am currently 32 weeks (a little over 7 months) pregnant and I got this DVD to relieve some stress and relax a little, not to mention keep my body in some sort of shape, in the comfort of my own home. It wasn't too difficult for me (someone with virtually no flexablity), everything was explained as far as what each thing does for your pregnant body and I nearly fell asleep in the end when he does the relaxation technique. Relaxing is not my forte so anyone who can get my mind to focus deserves my praise! In short, good for beginners. Made me feel great.

Summary: Gentle workout
Review: I enjoy the Yoga Zone tape & do it willingly because it isn't too hard & yet gives a nice workout. Afterwords, I feel relaxed & warmed up. There are some especially nice postures for the back. My only critisism is that it could use a little music. I play a Cd on my stereo to compensate.

Summary: I could only stand to watch it once
Review: I found the dvd to be very boring. A man does most of the speaking throughout. He was very monotone and not motivating. I was annoyed having some who would never go through pregnancy explain the benefits. He obviously will never have experience. The woman doing the exercises was pregnant.
