Summary: They do mean "ADVANCED!"
Review: I worked out to the orignal Basic for 3 months. I felt great and thought I was ready for the big time- "ADVANCED". Alas my intentions were bigger than my muscles. I cannot imagine every being ready for this tape. An HOUR of DOUBLE-TIME Tae Bo seems a bit sadistic. (At one point I actually stopped and cheered the participants on incredulously. Even the assistants looked like they were ready to faint - one of which I'm convinced is a marine.) Some people like glimpses of death during their workout (I am not one of them). But to each her own. I just thought others should be warned the word "advanced" is not to be taken lightly.

Summary: Tae-bo Advanced Get Ripped series
Review: Im a new user of Tae-bo and Its the only exercise video that I have really been motivated to keep doing,I have tried others in the past but soon got tired and quit but with this he keeps me going.I worked out 3 months with the Basic and then moved on to the Advanced Tape,Im already seeing a difference in the last week.Billy is a great instructor he Talks to you as if your right in the studio with him and that helps to keep you encouraged to keep going,As for the ladies in the Background,Michelle and Shellie they also help keep you motivated as well.My name by the way is Mechelle and when Billy says Michelle on the tape I think he is actually talking to me and that Really keeps me going.I recommend this tape to everyone that wants to get some strength or loose some inches,This is the tape you need. Thank you Billy Blanks and Tae-bo cast for making a Tape thats I can look back at and say I did it with God's Grace and with the Help of Tae-bo again I say Thanks.

Summary: Will End Up at Your Next Yard Sale
Review: Pass this one up. This will be one that ends up sitting on a shelf forever, then sold at your next yard sale. This workout will beat you up, and leave you tired.

Summary: TaeBo II is an AWESOME addition to the TaeBo Library!
Review: TaeBo 2 is a fantastic addition to the Tae Bo Live and original Tae Bo workout series. A very cool "ripping" work-out. I have had the great opportunity of working out with Billy Blanks in person at NBC Studios in Burbank, California in March of 2000. It is something I will never forget. I'm on the Live Workout #7 and #8 of Basic. Awesome workout and I sweated my tail off. A friend of mine has lost over 120 pounds with TaeBo. It truely is remarkable and life-changing.

Summary: Best DVD workout
Review: The champagne of workouts...the best out there..I like the fact that the students look REAL..There are a few senior citizens,a few full figured gals, some 40-ish ladies, and some regular guys mixed in with the gym gods and godesses showing that Tae-Bo is good for all..The workout is for your entire body and the music is great..I would reccomend everyone get this DVD if you have to own something...

Summary: Tremendous workout
Review: The Tae Bo II Get Ripped tapes are not for beginners. These are far and away the two hardest, most varied workouts I have ever done in my life. The first one in particular is almost unbelievable the first few times you do it, but the feeling of accomplishment once you master these puppies is well worth the pain. An hour of Tae Bo is SO much more effective than an hour of running, spinning or cycling. Your abs and glutes will get worked in ways you never realized were possible.

Two things to remember, though:

1. Tae Bo will not make you look "ripped" unless you are combining the program with weight training, which will give you muscles to ripple. Nothing is a complete exercise program without upper-body resistance work.

2. Don't do these things more than three times a week, and take a couple of days off to rest! Billy advises people about this in his book, and it's really worth repeating. This is too intense a workout to do on a daily basis. You'll end up hurting yourself by not giving your legs, abs and rear enough time to rest and regenerate. Just like with working your arms with weights, you CAN'T work your abs every single day. And believe me: Tae Bo II is the most intense ab work you're likely to find. I put it on par with the best Pilates instruction, as long as you do it correctly.

Summary: ouch for the next few days!
Review: these are 2 great workouts!
the first one (the one with the orange cover) is way harder than the second one (purple on cover), and that is because it focuses more on the lower body, it has a lot of kicks and the sets at the end, you are standing up, unlike the purple one you get on the floor and do the buns sets. In general these two are my hard workouts, when i feel like only doings one of these 2 for my daily workout, i think it is more than enough!
I definitely would recommend them, but that is only if you are advanced!!! don't even think of doing these while starting a workout program!! try the basic ones, those are great workouts themselves!!!
but these 2 are pretty hard workouts! don't forget to drink LOTS of water while doing these 2!!!

Summary: Great workout
Review: These are good if you are tired of your previous tae bo videos. Definitely gives you a workout and breaks the monotony.

Summary: Great Cardio
Review: These are great cardio workouts that definitely get you sweating. The moves are the same from the basic videos, but there are just more of them meaning more repetitions and some different combinations. The workout is just longer and that's what makes it more difficult. I find tae bo to be a fun workout that doesn't get boring quickly. I'm a runner, and I find Tae Bo just as aerobic as running, so it's a great cross training activity for cold mornings.
