Summary: I loved it!
Review: This is the first yoga video I've ever tired- and I'm hooked! At first the video was difficult for me, but with time I began to master the poses. Not only did this give me a great sense of accomplishment, but I felt more flexible and relaxed as well! I recommend this video to everyone! After completeing the video your body feels so great. I can't even express the way you will feel. I've even decided to take a yoga class after trying this video!

Summary: Strange
Review: I actually wrote a review for this Vedio yesterday, but for some reason, it did not appear online. I am guessing Amazon is doing a screening or something.Anyway, this is a good vedio, but a bit hard for beginners.

Summary: Great for relaxation, but a bit hard for beginners
Review: I took a Yoga lesson for one semester in college. The stuff in this tape is pretty similar to the one I learned beforr, such as "Sun Solutation," " Cat Pose," etc. So... I would say it's ok for beginners. But if you haven't done any Yoga before, you will have hard time to follow at first. Don't worry, as you practice it over and over again, you will get it and really love it. If you are looking for some authentic Yoga postures, this is the one !

Summary: most wonderful
Review: A lot of these reviews say that this video isn't for beginers. This was the first yoga I have ever done and I LOVED it! I found it easy to follow especially because of the long pauses between poses. It made me feel relaxed and energised at the same time. I highly recomend it.

Summary: Not at all relaxing
Review: There is no way this video is for beginners. It is extremely difficult and the way the camera zooms around is awful. The whole video moves way too fast.

Summary: Annoying (and not for beginers)
Review: I've practiced Yoga for over 7 years using the Yoga Moves with Alan Finger video. I wanted a change and luckily my local libray has an extensive yoga video collection so I watched them all before deciding which one to purchase. This was one of the tapes I watched and frankly I found it annoying. It's filmed like a music video and the camera spends as much time on rock, trees and the sky as on the people demonstrating the poses. During a pose the camera will break away to the sky or a rock several times and we never see the complete pose. We see see disjointed parts of a pose and rocks and trees. Plus when the camera is on a person it switches angles so much it's hard to copy the pose. If you're a beginer this video is not for you,not only because it's hard to follow, but because the poses are advanced and definetly not for beginers. After watching this video all I could think of was all the newcomers to yoga who would have got turned off by or given up on yoga after watching this best selling yoga tape. There are far better choices out there. After watching all the yoga tapes at my library I would say Yoga Moves with Alan Finger is still the best single yoga video out there and the best box sets are the Yoga Zone box set and Living Arts Abs/Back/AM/PM set. I would recommed this video to only to someone who is advanced, and had watched and exhausted all the other yoga videos out there.

Summary: most wonderful thing I ever did for myself
Review: not only does it tone and stretch muscles I didn't even know I had, but it also (more importantly) works on your mind, clears your mind whereby you are able to think more clearly and make better decisions. It also helped me to be slower to anger, more calm. My favorite part is at the end where I feel I am floating in the sky

Summary: Please don't believe the bad reviews...
Review: I was saddened to see a few bad reviews for this wonderful video. Of course everyone is entitled to his or her own opinion, but as someone who has been a student of yoga on and off for years, and as someone with terrible chronic back problems I find this to be a safe, effective and challenging session. It seems like it's over so quickly but it really does stretch and tone the entire body if done correctly. I have to wonder if those who found it too difficult might have been pushing too hard or trying to match the level of the people on the tape. And for those who find it boring, they may not be comfortable with meditative arts like yoga and tai chi. Some people find it frustrating and difficult to slow down and hold postures and prefer more traditional exercise classes. But please be assured that this tape has been praised by so many for a good reason. The instructor is wonderful and passionate, but calm and guides you into a state of having a clear mind and a fulfilling practice session. The poses are good for beginner to more advanced students; beginners will find it very challenging, more advanced students will find it very relaxing. I certainly hope they follow this up someday with another video.

Summary: A great yoga video!
Review: I was looking for a yoga video that was a little more challenging and this one was perfect!! I still can't do all the poses but I'm getting better everyday. I would recommend this to anyone.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: I highly recommend this video. I have a few and this is #1.
Review: Erich Schiffman, the key teacher in this video, teaches one to move deeply and correctly into each posture. I'm surprized this vid. isn't the top seller. I hope MacGraw and Schiffman produce other videos together.
