Summary: Pretty Tough, in a Good Way
Review: When I first got this DVD, I had two main reservations. One, she said that she had tested these exercises in the lab to see which ones were most effective, but she only appears to have tested herself. People react differently, so I wasn't sure if I'd wind up doing any "garbage sets" of exercises that don't work for me. Second, I thought that it would be a little "girly", i.e., totally concerned with fat loss, not paying any attention to the bodybuilding axiom "more muscle = faster metabolism." Also by girly, I mean "incredibly simple."

I'm glad to say that I was wrong on all counts. I've done all three workouts, and I can't say that I went through a single exercise thinking, "Why am I doing this," because I could feel each one doing its thing. Second, I was aching for two days after that leg (bun) workout. I can do 250-pound squats until the sun comes up, but the relentless pace of this workout (sans weights) was a whole new sensation. Aside from the commentary, which can get a little repetitive, this is a great program.

Summary: A Great DVD - Perfect if You're Pressed for Time
Review: I was a little hesitant about buying this DVD. Tamilee, after all, is the "Buns of Steel" lady, which connoted a certain amount of cheesiness. However, I was pleasantly surprised to find a total of 6 excellent workouts (2 each for abs, arms, and buns); very nice production values; and NO hokey southern belle yakking away ad nauseum. Tamilee encourages without being overbearing, and educates without being too talkative. (The DVD sound option also lets you do the workout with music only - nice feature.) She has a great, athletic figure, and perfect form, so watching her do standard exercises makes you realize (and feel) that you may have been doing them wrong in the past. She also throws in new exercises that are challenging and effective, without being so difficult as to frustrate. All you need to do these 15-minute workouts is a mat (if you have no carpet), handweights (she uses 5 lbs. but you can use more or less), and a chair. Overall, this was a great surprise and a very useable DVD that I can grow with. I'm extremely happy with this purchase - which is rare considering how much junk there is on the exercise video market!

Summary: PROVEN EFFECTIVE!!!
Review: Do you want a body like Tamilee Webb's? I sure do. That's why I bought "Tamilee Webb's I Want That Body" DVD five months ago, and this DVD has totally lived up to its name and transformed my body. I now have abs and arms (almost) like Tamilee's thanks to the scientifically proven effective exercises she handpicked for those problem areas. This DVD contains two 15 minute exercises each for abs, arms and buns, and the second ones are more advanced, so you can pick and choose depending on your individual fitness level. The arms programs include a brief warm-up and stretch, a few sets of fast paced weight lifting and strengthening movements and a stretch. I do this two to three times a week, and my arms are much firmer and better looking than ever! Hand weights are required, and I recommend that you buy weight adjustable ones as I moved up from two to 5 pounds in 5 months. The abs programs are my favorite, because they really work, although they are quite difficult at first. They consist of a brief warm-up and two sets of fast paced ab-strengthening movements. They work every part of your abs and sometimes your legs and back muscles. Thanks to the program two, I started showing amazing muscle definition on my abs that I never had in my whole life (I'm 38). I tried doing the Buns programs, and they seemed very effective however difficult. Unfortunately, I found them to be extremely hard on my knees where I have problems so I am not doing this program anymore.
All in all, "Tamilee Webb's I Want That Body" DVD offers you excellent workout programs that are quick and extremely effective for those areas of the body!

Summary: THE BEST!
Review: I was really surprised how great this was, there are a lot of workouts and sculpting tapes out there but this is definitely worth having in your collection, maybe even the only one you need. I bought for a friend and borrowed it and I've done it everyday since, so I got one for myself(new at Sam's for less than twelve dollars, just fyi for anyone interested). She has two workouts segments-15 minutes each, one kind of mainstream but great, and one with more creative exercises that "tested well" with her lab study. It's and easy to use dvd and not tired to view over and over again, which you will. She gives you diet tips as well, which will be helpful to some I'm sure. The exercises are great and challenging and you can variate and use weights to increase your intensity but all in all it's probably not necessary, I sweat everytime! If you do it regularly you WILL see a difference. And like someone else mentioned, she's "real" and her body is worked hard for and it's more of an inspiration when they haven't had stuff sucked or enhanced. My favorite on this dvd is the buns area workout! Great buy even for full price! Highly recommended!

Summary: LOVE THIS WORKOUT DVD!!!
Review: I bought this DVD the other month and I absolutely love it! I use it in conjunction with other work out tapes that I use. The practical thing about this workout DVD is that the workouts are only about 15 minutes each, so if I do not have time to do a 50 minute cardio workout, I simply pop this disc in. Each body part (abs, arms, buns) has 2 different workouts so that you won't get bored doing the same workout over and over again. I always feel the results as I am working out - as well as the next day!! I totally reccommend this DVD to anyone who is looking to add to their at-home workout routine!

Summary: The buns exercises are definitely not for beginners!
Review: I've been working out with a persnoal trainer for the past few months, but noticed that the hour a day I have with her twice a week is not giving me the lower body results I want. I picked up Tamilee's "I Want that Body" DVD after reading several good reviews about it. I wasn't particularly interested in the arms workout, as my workout with my trainer is sufficient in that area of my body. I thus can't comment on the arms workout. I tried the first fifteen minute abs workout and found it to be challenging but doable. The buns workout is another story altogether. I made my way through approximately 10 minutes of the tape before recognizing that I was perhaps pushing too hard. It is quite an aroebic workout, and I realized that my quadraceps weren't strong enough to provide me with the lift necessary to keep up. Nevertheless, I stopped the tape and planned to come back to it after skipping a day. Please note that I am not in poor physical condition. Although I've only been working out with a trainer for the last few months, I have been practicing yoga for about six years and lift weights off and on (I'm 32 years old). I was surprised when after doing the buns workout of this video, my thighs started throbbing. Generally, I don't experience soreness until the next day, but I was really struggling by the end of the day. The next day was, of course, even worse (Christmas day I could barely make it up the steps at my mother's house). I couldn't believe that ten minutes had been this taxing on my body, so I felt I really needed to warn the person who buys this DVD but has never done lunges or squats. Go at it slowly. Start out with a couple of minutes and then build up over time. Because Tamilee moves so quickly between the different exercises, the beginner will have difficulty making sure that he/she is keeping the right form. I plan to give the buns workout another try, but I'm going to go at it very slowly. There really should be something on the DVD's packaging or Tamilee, at least, should say something at the beginning of each workout about pacing related to individual fitness levels and the importance of form.

Summary: Nothing Short of Genius
Review: At age 34, I just got back into working out and doing yoga, which I've practiced daily now for 4 months. Im naturally limber and strong, but while I have definitely trimmed and toned my body with yoga, I wanted more dramatic results. I started surfing Amazon's exercise products and have bought several tapes and dvds, but ONLY THIS ONE made me sweat; ONLY THIS ONE made me sore the next day. It's definitely giving me the results I'm after. I have since given it as a gift (to my mom, a serious athlete in her own right) and have recommended it to many more. In fact, it's so good that it inspired me to write this (my first) review for anyone out there like me, looking for something real to sink your teeth into. Tamilee is the Bomb.

Summary: Tamilee Webb-I want that body DVD
Review: Her six 15 minute workouts are excellent. My husband likes to do her toning with me, because she is easy to follow for a beginner and she fatigues the muscle. She does two sets of twelve reps and then eight more reps before you're done. The squats are especially hard. You can add more weights when you aren't challenged anymore. She also has additional information about dieting and healthy eating segments. She also tested her own workout moves in a lab with an EMG machine hooked up to her muscles to find the most effective moves. She includes abs, arms and buns workouts.

Summary: not annoying!
Review: I like this dvd because 1) it makes me work hard, but I can continuously challenge myself as I get better, 2) I can pick from two abs, two arm, and two butt workouts, and 3) Tamilee is not annoyingly perky. I expected to be endlessly annoyed by the commentary, but she just tells you what to do and how.

Summary: It will keep you busy
Review: I can say without hesitation that this is a tough workout -- and I'm just talking about the first three (easier) abs, buns and arms workouts on the DVD. I haven't even looked at the second workouts because the first ones kick my [tail] every time. Tamilee says to move up to those second workouts once the first ones get boring and easy. I don't expect to be moving on from the first exercises for quite some time.

Tamilee is a great instructor. She has a great body, but it isn't like the models in the magazines, so you know it's attainable. She works her tail off for her body; we're not talking lucky genes here. I don't know how much time she spent in the lab testing these exercises, but the ones she chose for the tape truly are effective. I've been working out five to seven days a week for more than four months, and this DVD makes me feel like I'm starting all over again. That's a good thing -- my muscles ache afterwards, meaning I'm hitting them harder than I have been in a while.

The ab section is great. It's tough, but still do-able, so you can work it effectively right from the start. The arms are super tough. I've never worked my triceps so hard in my life. Again, I was able to get through all of it on the first try. The buns, though, are really, really tough for me. I had to slow it down and take a break before finishing.

The only annoying part of this DVD is that she does the workouts in sets. That's tough when you're just starting and she keeps telling you to go back and do another set of that exercise you nearly passed out doing the first time. I know sets are really effective, and by the second or third watch, they didn't bug me, but it was discouraging at first. I'd be standing in my living room, proud that I'd made it through that tough routine, and then I'd realize I still had one last set to do. Ugh.

But no pain, no gain, right? So I plowed through, and if you're serious about getting fit, you will too. This is a great workout to do it with. It'll keep you busy for a long time to come because the first segments aren't easy, and the second segments ... Well, I'll cross that bridge when I get to it.
