Summary: Wow!!!
Review: I having been doing tae bo for about 4 years. The only complaint I ever had about the videos was the time between moves being too long or too much talking. Get Ripped took care of that problem. I actually had a hard time finishing it the 1st time I did it. The cardio workout is great. When I was done every part of my body was sore. After just 2 weeks I can already feel a difference. I have felt that tae bo is the best workout out there and I can't believe they actually made it better. Thanks Billy!...

Summary: Okay, so it's not perfect
Review: I just bought this DVD yesterday, despite all the negative technical reviews. I was happy to see that it was indeed the same workout I had on VHS a few years ago that I loved. I did those tapes for 1.5 months, without changing the way I ate, and lost five pounds and dropped a dress size. Okay, so I also had to build up to it for a few weeks, but the results were phenomenal.

Unfortunately, I stopped due to going back to school. NOT because the workout was boring. His energy is contagious! Really, if I had kept going, I would have been a size 4 by now.

I think that if you can run a mile you can do this workout straight through. Even if you can run farther, as certain long distance runner's reviews say, this workout will still challenge all of your muscles for a great workout.

I say, even if you are not quite up there, you should still get advanced and take marching-breaks or only do half, so that you have something to work towards. Much more of an expandable workout that way.

Okay, so the technical issues. Back when I did this all the time, I mirrored him and did the reverse of what he is saying. I don't think that women really have to worry about bulking up unevenly from this workout not being even on both sides. These issues are not too much of a problem, given the results.

I think that Shelley, who others complain about, is an inspiration. She is like the Matrix meets reality. I see her and strive to be like that. I don't think she's annoying at all, but instead she drive me to try just a little harder...

This workout gave me the same weight loss results I got from running 4 to 5+ miles straight per day. (This was last year around this time. I'm really good at picking up exercises, getting good, and dropping them.) Plus, I didn't have the urge to consume entire pizzas, which kinda grossed me out about running that much...

It really does tone while it melts fat. That sounds so silly, but it's true. I can't wait to get back to it (have to get home first), and lose a few!!

Summary: Fun DVD
Review: I like doing the 8-minute workout in the mornings before work (it's really a 16 minute workout). Billy has some funny sayings that he repeats over and over and that keeps me chuckling as I work out. It's a fun DVD to have. Taebo helps to loosen my muscles and keep me fit. You'll notice that Billy screws up some of the moves himself and that adds to the humor. Most of the time instead of doing the workout moves, he's telling the people behind him to "Touch My Hand" and "Don't Bounce" and "Jab, jab, jab, jab" over and over and over. It's a bit annoying at times, but I learn to live with it.

Summary: SOOOO Good
Review: I Love Tae Bo workouts! There is nothing flashy here and you know what? Billy Blanks and "Team Tae-Bo" are a little annoying, and they sweat.... a lot, in rather unseemly places! That said this is still the best home workout I have tried (and thats an embarrassingly large amount) If you want to workout Hard and feel as good as when you go to the Gym, try this DVD, I have always found that other workouts leave me feeling as though I haven't worked out enough. But this one truly makes you sweat and you feel great afterwards.

As long as you can get past the low production values this is the Best. And who cares about what it looks like when you get such great results??

Summary: Fantastic Workout... Great Results
Review: I love this Tae Bo workout! I ordered it because, hey I live in the North and it's cold out in the winter! Also, there are really no good gyms in the area. I definitely gained the infamous "Freshman 15" throughout the course of my last year and a half of college, so I need it. But I'm not really in that awful of shape, because I ran on off last semester. After I did this workout, three days in a row, I was soo incredibly sore. And you definitely can't make it all the way through it the first couple of times!!
A lot of people complain about the cues, but it's not bad at all. And Billy really actually does encourage me. He always seems to know when I am about to give up. Lol. The best part is, I can tell that I've already lost some weight, and can see some definition in my arms and stomach!
Highly Recommended!!!

Summary: I'm hooked!
Review: I love this workout! I thought I was in great shape. I ride my bike, I swim, I do spin class, I do 45 minutes on the eliptical at the hardest setting, I do yoga, and I do pilates. None of that prepared me for Tae Bo. I was wiped out at the end of the tape. What really amazed me is what a great ab work out it is.

My only complaint is that you need a lot of room to move. Be sure to clear a big space for this video.

An earlier reviewer complained that everyone was sweaty. Maybe I'm weird but I think it appealing. Plus, there's no way you could do this workout without sweating a lot.

Summary: Great even for beginners!
Review: I never had a problem with my weight until a year and a half ago when I started taking a medication which caused me to gain roughly 35lbs. Around two month ago I decided to wean myself off the medication and start changing my lifestyle, including my diet and exercise. I did not exercise at all before that and was possibly the laziest person alive!

Anyway, because I couldn't afford a gym membership and the cold weather prevented me from running, I decided to try out an exercise tape I could do indoors. My friend recommended this DVD, which I purchased and decided to give a try.

At first, I couldn't even make it past the first 10 minutes. I was wheezing and exhausted and my legs hurt and I felt like such a bum. I was really out of shape as you can tell. But the important thing I learned was to STICK WITH IT! I promised myself I would MAKE MYSELF work out at least 5 times a week for at least a month, NO EXCEPTIONS! Two weeks or so later, I knew I was getting into shape when instead of pooping out after the first 10 minutes, I'd make it to the end of the 30 minute exercise and want to do MORE. Also, I began to notice that instead of feeling crappy after exercising, I'd feel crappy if I DIDN'T exercise. It's become something I ENJOY doing, not just something I force myself to do.

My body feels tighter, particularly my legs, and I've noticed visible improvements in my body's appearance. More importantly, I feel better. I have more energy and feel more confident and healthy.

I've only been doing it for 2 months and I have a long way still to go. I want to get in much better shape and have made exercise a part of my daily routine and I have Tae Bo to thank for this. I 've bought a couple other fitness DVDs since then but this one I keep coming back to. It is so energizing, and heck, if it can motivate a chronic couch potato like me to get off my butt and do at least 30 minutes a day, it can work for you too.

Don't feel bad if you have to start off slowly like I did. Push yourself, but work yourself into the exercise slowly but surely. It's hard at first, but it gets easier, trust me! It's worth it.

Summary: Addicting!!!!
Review: I ordered this tae-bo workout after having used the original tapes. When I got this one, I was so excited to try something new. I discovered that this workout is both challenging and fun! Billy Blanks is also not as annoying, as in previous tapes. I also like that there is a wide variety of people doing the workouts.
Note that this workout is not for beginners. It is very hard, but that is what I liked about it. I like a workout that will challenge me and get me sore the next day. Its the best feeling ever. Now I do a different advanced taebo workout 3x a week, and I feel great afterwards. I have gotten my friends hooked too! They sometimes come over to do the tapes with me. If you do it and stick to it, you will get results!!! (Believe me, I know!!)

Summary: don't buy the advance workout, if you own the basic workout!
Review: I purchased the basic workout dvd a amonth ago and loved it. I felt I was ready for the advanced workout and wanted to see if I could keep up. I did but, I found it not as much fun as the basic workouts. The music was not as engaging and there was too much talking on the second advanced workout. The routines seem thrown together. The basic workouts are the way to go and with the dvd you get the 8 minute workout, which is very intense. You can skip over the cool down from the first and second and then finish off with the 8 minute, which includes a cool down. You will feel great, energized and pumped up! I have lost 7lbs. already!

Summary: Good, but a little crazy!
Review: I really enjoyed that first series of Tae-bo and found it very affective. So when I decided to try this dvd I was very excited about it. I must say, it will get your heart rate up, but this time around Billy seems to smoke crack before he starts the workout. He moves very fast and changes his movements so rapidly that it's hard to follow. I'm sure it gets easier the more you do it, but when learning a new routine, this work-out is a challenge.
Good luck to all! :)
