Summary: This DVD set shows exactly why Ric Flair Is The Man, WHOO!
Review: The Ultimate Ric Flair Collection is the best DVD set that the WWE has ever released. His classic matches and promos all on 3 DVD's. He deserves more respect than he gets from certain people, like the ones who say he should've retired long ago.The truth is that right now today he still a better wrestler than 98% of the wrestlers in the business and cuts better promos than any wrestler in history.

Summary: Omigod, WWE didn't screw this up!!
Review: It's debatable, but in my opinion Ric Flair is the greatest wrestler of all time, and this DVD included all his greatest matches. I would've liked to have seen the Flair/Sting Clash 1 match, Flair/Vader, and Flair/Steamboat at Chi-Town, but the fact that they included some awesome matches I'd NEVER thought would grace a DVD gives this an easy 5 *'s.

1. Ric Flair Vs. Harley Race (83) - Great old-school match with Race brutalizing a determined Flair inside the confines of a steel-cage! A true passing of the torch and it's cool to see Race on DVD. ****1/2

2. Ric Flair Vs. Dusty Rhodes (85) - Dusty wants revenge against Flair after the 4 horsemen break his ankle. As far as Dusty matches it's not bad. ***

3. Ric Flair Vs. Barry Windham (87) - These 2 regularly had 90-min matches at house shows (imagine that now!) and if anyone had Flair's number it was Windham as he almost won the title on numerous occasions. Everyone thought he would finally dethrone Flair on TV... or would he..? *****

4. Ric Flair Vs. Ricky Steamboat (89 - II) - 2 out of 3 falls shown free on TV. This is my ALL-time favorite match as Flair tries to regain his title from the Steamer. *****

5. Ric Flair Vs. Ricky Steamboat (89 - III) - Wrestler War. The 2 greatest wrestlers in the world at the time, (and evenly matched) wrestle for the most respected title in the world. You know I barely blink when I see people going through tables anymore, but the Flair/Steamboat chops STILL make me winc when I see 'em! *****

6. Ric Flair Vs. Terry Funk (89 - Clash) - I-Quit match. WOW! Awesome! I'm glad (and surprised) they included this great match! Flair/Funk had been feuding like manaics for months and this was THE match to settle the feud and see who the better man was. *****

7. Royal Rumble (1992) - I was afraid they would clip this match, but it's shown complete. My match of 1992. When Flair entered the WWF I figured he would be built up, then lose to Hogan a billion times. Instead he lasts almost the entire Rumble with a finish that I consider my biggest mark-out moment of all time :-) Plus "The Brains" commentary makes this the greatest Rumble of all-time. *****

8. Ric Flair Vs. Sting (94?) - WCW Vs. NWA (International belt) Unification match. These two have had much better matches, such as their 5-star Clash 1 match, but this one was good. ***1/2

9. Ric Flair Vs. Triple-H (2003) - Flair goes for the WWE championship belt. This match is in the extra section and is a great match, but much too short. ***1/2

And there you go.. The greatest wrestling DVD off all time..

Summary: Excellent Collection...Looking Forward To Volume 2
Review: This DVD Box Set more than justifies buying, especially if you have been a wrestling fan for decades. Besides Bruno Sammartino, Ric Flair is the greatest wrestler ever all-time! The three DVDs are filled with pertinent matches, interviews, and recap moments during Flair's 30+ years of wrestling.

As I have stated, I will not complain about what is included because there is no reason to. Everyone will enjoy this and watch over and over again. However, what's not here is only suggestions for hopefully a SECOND volume DVD set. Here is what I'm stating (3 matches I want to see along with matches against Wahoo McDaniel, Magnum T.A., Roddy Piper, and Kerry Von Erich):

1) Ric Flair vs. George Gadaski - December 10, 1972. I have always wanted to see Flair's debut match when he had brown hair and was heavier weighing 260-270 lbs. My guess is the match was never videotaped, was videotaped in low quality tape (8mm reel possibly), or the tape is missing. Does anyone know if they have seen this match on tape and/or live?

2) Ric Flair vs. Hulk Hogan - November 26, 1991. The very first Hogan vs. Flair match located in Cleveland, Ohio (I believe). I've never seen that match and maybe it's not a classic, but I would want to watch it. Some people say Flair was the best during the 1980s and some say Hogan. I do feel they should of put a full length match since this was once listed as a "dream match" whether it was this one or Bash At The Beach 1994 even if Flair lost.

3) Ric Flair vs. Buddy Rogers - July 16, 1979. Another match I have never seen between the "new" Nature Boy vs. the "old" Nature Boy. Flair won this match, and I have only seen pictures in various wrestling magazines.

I hope everyone agrees that they would like to see a second volume DVD set. If enough people write, then maybe it will happen. Also if you have any suggestion for a match you want to see, I'll be interested your ideas!

Overall, excellent quality DVDs both in sound and vision. Highly Recommended!

Review: I already ordered this DVD from Amazon.com and I liked the whole feature except for the Dusty Rhodes match. However even that will at least appeal to nostalgic wrestling fans.

Summary: Woooooooooow!
Review: Sometimes the WWE gets it; sometimes they don't. This collection falls into the former category.
Most people have the particulars of what's on the discs by now.
I want to talk about the quality of the disc.
I remember watching - on tape - the day Ric Flair showed up in WWE and Piper in the background doing commentary.
I decided to watch that segment first on the DVD; I saw The Brain on the screen and then I heard whatI thought was another person's voice ... inside my headphones!
When they say the digitally remaster the sound for DVD's, brother they ain't kidding!
Being a fan of wrestling in the 80s and 90s, I can remember either seeing many of the matches or hearing about them. This disc not only has the matches in their entirity, but the storylines behind the matches. You can literally relive not only the memory of the match itself, but why the match was so anticipated in the first place. I hope this isn't the last "Ultimate" collection we see: I can think of some other discs I could add to my collection (Austin, 'Taker, Rock, Angle, HHH) ... if the WWE puts them out.

Summary: This was a great DVD !!!
Review: This DVD was superb. I have already seen a few of these matches, and even own some. But the clairty on DVD is super. The interviews, and angles leading up to the matches were wonderful to see. I remember seeing alot of this growing up, but it was so cool to see it again after so many years. The only thing I was kind of disappointed about was the fact that they chose to do so many long matches instead of shorter matches and more of them. I hope WWE is not done with Ric Flair collections his carrer has spanned almost 3 decades, and he has had so many great matches, let's hope we see more in the future.

Summary: The Best of the Best
Review: WOOOOOOO! This IMO is the best wrestling DVD I have ever seen. Flair has wrestled the greatest and this DVD shows many of his greatest matches and the easter eggs on the DVD rule. This is a must have for any Ric Flair, 4 Horseman, or just a wrestling fan.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Believe the Hype
Review: This is far and away the best wrestling DVD package ever made. Whether you're a Flair fanatic or just a wrestling fan in general, Flair's ride will take you from humble beginnings (1976 MSG debut on the undercard and small arena venues) to "arriving" at the 1992 Royal Rumble. Not to mention the fantastic feuds vs Steamboat, Race, Funk and the almost-forgotten but still great chapter vs Barry Windham, perhaps the most underrated talent of the 1980's.

A must have.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A must have for any wrestlling fan
Review: Don't expect to se the VHS version of this because there is none.

It has Flair's rivalries with:
Ricky Steamboat
Terry Funk
Dusty Rhodes
Harly Race
Sting
Barry Windam

It also has
Vs. Terry Funk Clash of the Champions IX
vs. Steamboat from both Clash of the Champions VIII and Wrestle War '89
vs. Harley Race Starcade '83
1992 Royal Rumble
WWWF Debut vs. Pete Sanchez
vs. Cripple-H RAW 5/19/03 with NBSF of the post-show tribute
The Plane Crash
the History of the Four Horsemen
a Day in the Life of the Horsemen
and so many cool interviews as well as Flair and Windham vs. Eddie Gilbert and Ricky Steamboat.

You have to get this if you want to consider yourself a true wrestling fan.
If I could rate this from 1 to 10 I would give it a 22.
