Summary: An Incredible DVD for a Motion Picture Masterpiece.
Review: First of all, i would like to say that this Movie itself is known as " The first animated movie ever made" and that it's
an important film in animation. The 2-Disc DVD here is amazing,
It's got an interactive Menu featuring the Magic mirror, Behind the Scenes, The History of Disney through the Ages, a Fun
and Challenging Interactive Game, THX-Sound and more. So if your a Disney Fan, own this Disc.

Summary: PERFECT Disney in every way
Review: This DVD is perfection out of the entire Disney lineup. Tons of extras, incredible digital remastering of a 50+ year old print, the whole package is simply fantastic. A must for anyone who loves Disney or Snow White in particular.

Summary: "Someday My Prince Will Come"
Review: Before "The Wizard of Oz," 1937's "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" was THE definitive children's motion picture. Walt Disney's debut feature works splendidly on so many levels: as an animated film, as a compelling story, and as a musical. True, some parts are very dated, and the movie does indeed drag in some places, but you'll have to suspend criticism and acknowledge "Snow White"'s technical achievements. The idea of doing a full-length cartoon was apparently unheard of in 1937, and few believed that this picture would be a hit. Not only have the box office receipts proved the naysayers wrong, but it's been re-released over the years to generation after generation. The DVD picture is as good as it gets, with no print flaws or grain. The surround sound mix, however, is a bit flawed and sounds slightly artificial. I don't think Walt intended to do this film for a high-tech home theater network. Regardless, if you have to own ONE animated DVD, "Snow White" is a must-have. It's a beautifully done feature and is an undisputed classic.

Summary: Fabulous DVD!
Review: Already a big fan of Snow White, I have to say I was very impressed with the quality & quantity of this DVD. From the background info about how Walt Disney brought Snow White to life, to the storyboards, to the game to the song by Barbra...this DVD just gives & gives.
Even if you already own this wonderful movie on VHS (as I do), the DVD is worth buying!

Summary: A classic, with long menu sequences
Review: I had never before seen this film, I'm sad to say. But it was amazing to me to see a good story with classic Disney animation. I had just watched "Emperor's New Groove" with my 4 year old son and was intrigued at how the animation has changed since "Snow White".

I don' t know if these old Disney films were made in a way that prevents wide-screen format, but it would be nice to see if it is available. I felt like there must be things off to the side that I'm missing.

The extras on this DVD are interesting, though mostly to adults. My son is bored with everything except the movie and the "Dopey's Mine Ride" game. I think that the game is a wonderful use of the DVD technology, especially for an animated film. More of this is needed in the DVD world!

The second disk has literally only been in our machine once. The stuff on it is interesting (mostly history of making the film, etc.), but again... not to kids. The new version of the song "Someday my Prince will come" is well recorded, but not necessary. A remastered version of the original would have been better, even though Barbara Streisand didn't sing the original (but does sing the remake).

On technical complaint I have is that the menus are slow to load. or at least, it seems that way because of all the animation. The animation is great, don't get me wrong.... I just wish it was a little bit shorter and that the options were presented more quickly. Maybe there's a button for this I haven't found yet... but I'll keep trying.

This was our first Disney DVD. I have already ordered 2 others and look forward to seeing what extras they have. Hopefully, more games!

Summary: A DVD WORTH BUYING!!! YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED!!!
Review: The movie itself is such a wonderful Disney classic that appeals to such a wide audience. This dvd is one of the best dvd's to own in my opinion! There are so many extras on it!! and there is a whole other dvd with extras(havent' watched that yet!!!)
The first dvd has the movie, and documentaries on the making of the movie, music video(or movie clip, but Barbara STreisand singing "some day my prince will come". DVD is chock full of fun things to watch for the entire family!!!! All the added stuff is just as good as the movie itself. There is even a game, "Dopey's mine ride"(not the exact title but close enough), I had a blast playing that!! But you have to know the movie really really really well!!! Watch the movie a few times before playing.
I highly recommend picking this dvd up for your own personnal libarary, it is a great package and a great Disney classic.

Summary: Throw Away Your Video Tape: Get The DVD
Review: DVD extras are all very well, but they are meaningless without the movie itself--and here Disney's remastered, restored, and digitalized SNOW WHITE lives up to every bit of the press it has received. Even now, some seventy years after it was first seen, this simple version of the famous Grimm fairy-tale can still cast a spell through storytelling pure and simple. And the DVD formatted film is astonishingly beautiful--brilliantly colored--incredibly clear--so beautiful that no matter how often you may have seen the film in the past you will feel that you now see it for the first time.

The extras are enough to fill out a second disk and include everything from background art to timelines to trivia games. Some of it is very interesting indeed; some of it I found rather tedious. But... so what? The important thing, the thing you're actually buying the DVD for, is SNOW WHITE, right? And with this DVD release, she remains the fairest in the land.

Summary: A timeless classic for a reason
Review: I purchased this both for my young kids and for my wife, who had never seen the whole movie. Well, that was a win from the get-go, but the real icing is how well the DVD is stocked with extra features. Disney did an excellent job transferring this classic to the DVD format, but they didn't stop there; filled with witty and charming bonus features, just having this film on DVD is an experience in itself. This is a DVD that could make believers of those who have considered moving from videotape to digital video but needed something to convince them. If only you could edit Michael Eisner out of the small introduction to Barbra Streisand's version of "Someday My Prince Will Come" it would be perfect.
