Summary: RELEASE ON DVD!!!!
Review: Even the "making of" was excellent! I can't stand the suspense! I've recorded every episode in order and transferred to VCD, but I'd much rather have a crisp, clean picture and 5.1 sound so that I can feel the thrusters of Anakin's ship knocking me back in my seat! THX sound would be fantastic for this movie (since it is, more or less, episode 2.5). I find it more entertaining than Episode II, and it cleans up some of the loose ends that would have been forgotten with the release of Episode III. Genndy, is a genius! Lucas, you're a great man for allowing this to be made! Just take the next inevitable step and release it on DVD at least in time for Christmas!

Summary: George Lucas, you better be taking notes . . .
Review: Having grown up with the original trilogy (I was born May 25, 1977. No joke. Look it up SW fans), I have to say that so far the prequals have NOT been Star Wars films at all. They do not capture the essence of the original trilogy.
However, these little cartoons, these Clone Wars 'toons bring the magic and essence of Star Wars back to Star Wars. They are worthy of the original trilogy. The writing and stories are exciting and action packed (wow, even space battles! Seems Mr. Lucas forgot about the space battles in the prequels), the acting is better than the actors in the prequels (except Ewan McGregor) and the voices are dead on. If you haven't seen these - go to the website and stream them. When the DVD comes out, it will have a perminate place right next to the original trilogy.

Summary: Fills in the Gaps
Review: I found that this series filed in a lot of gaps, similar to the Episode 1 explanation of Midaclorians (sp?). The fast paced, serialized structure of the serries is very interesting. I love how I suddenly "jumped to the edge of my seat", ok recliner, on several occasions. I can't wait for the DVD to be released!

Summary: AWESOME MINI-SERIES!
Review: If this doesn't come out on DVD, I'd be so mad. Sammari Jack was an awesome show, and Star Wars with Sammari Jack influence is an amazing experience. I taped all but four episodes, two of which were the best ones, so I'd really like it if they'd make this, and so do you. Trust me.

Summary: BETTER THEN 1985'S DROIDS/EWOKS CARTOONS!
Review: In Fall of 2003, George Lucas joined with Cartoon Network and the creators of "Samurai Jack" to produce one of the biggest animated miniseries ever!

At roughly 3 minutes length for each episode, season 1 included 10 chapters. Taking place directly after the outbreak of the Clone Wars as depicted in the film "Episode II - Attack of the Clones" - "Clone Wars" season 1 centers around Jedi Padawan and Ace Pilot Anakin Skywalker and his master Obi-Wan Kenobi as they fight for the Republic against the evil Separatists, led by Count Dooku and HIS new apprentice, Asajj Ventress.

Featuring beloved characters like Senator Padme Amidala, Jedi Master Yoda, Supreme Chancellor Palpatine, C-3PO, R2-D2, as well as the Clone Troopers and a NEW Separatist threat - a bounty hunted known as Durge, "Clone Wars" season 1
is everything the "STAR WARS" movies are - fastpaced, explanatory, inventive - from the talky meetings with the Chancellor, to the excitement of the "Clone Wars" battle sites - this series is sure to please!

Summary: Just like the new movies good action bad plot
Review: Terrible, Terrible, Terrible!
This series suffers from the same problems as the new movies, horrible plot, and a perversion of the characters from the original series. Just like the new movies the action was cool and I enjoyed every lightsaber battle, but I never cared who won. In fact the obi-wan in the new movies was more recognizable than the blood thirsty general they portray him as here. This series is at its best when it is just long dialogue free battles, but then why not just watch Samurai Jack at least that has characters I care about and it doesn't further tarnish the universe of Star Wars.

Summary: How sweet does the new villain look?
Review: They already have pictures floating around of the new episode III villain General Grievous. This jedi killer will show himself in the last episode of the clone wars cartoon, chapter 20. He's like a half robot, half-alien type thing and he looks pretty scary. I've seen about three or four different pictures of him and one of the pictures even has him holding lightsabers. Pretty sweet.

Summary: best cartoon since Samurai Jack
Review: This absolutly needs to be on dvd. Star Wars is the best story ever & Clone Wars continues it, telling you what happens between Episode 2 & Episode 3. Everyone is tough & strong with the Force as their ally. Count Dooku is almost as cool as Darth Vader & no one can beat Anakin as a pilot. Yoda is powerful knows the Sith's secrets even if he isn't telling. Padme is secretly married to Anakin & you can see how sad she is that he left to fight in the war. This show has everything the movies has & more. I've seen other Star Wars cartoons like the Ewoks & Droids, but nothing beats Clone Wars. I love all the little details like the ARC trooper shooting at the lizard (you know the troopers will end up bad guys) & the droids that look like IG-88. The Republic assault ships are like the star destroyers & the Jedi starfighters are awesome with their folding wings.
Next to Samurai Jack & Futurama, this is the top cartoon on TV. Forget all that Japanimation... this is tops! 5 stars goes to Clone Wars. Please put this out on dvd right after the second season can be added to it.

Summary: The movies don't touch this series
Review: This series was a recipe for disaster. When I first heard they were making these cartoons, I had serious reservations, but upon seeing just the first minute of Chapter 1, the truth came ringing in my ears: These are excellent.

Not only are they beyond what I would have hoped, they succeed to supplant the prequels. Everything that's happened in the two live-action movies could be easily summed up in an opening crawl, to make room for more "Clone Wars" action.

And see that word? 'Action.' Not only does that mean seeing people do things, but things actually HAPPEN! That come from CHOICES! If there were a petition to have this be the official entry for "Episode III," I would sign it without question.

The Jedi in this series are what fans have always wanted them to be: ballistically awesome-fied. I don't know any Star Wars fan who would not like... perhaps even LOVE... this series. It is terrific.
