Summary: Great movie, can't wait for the sequels
Review: What can I say, I was brought up with watching action stars Jackie Chan and Jet Li, and to see that incorporated in the Matrix, it was a thrill ride. Good plot, even though it isn't the first time a movie dealt with realities and imaginations, it is quite original. Keanu Reeves definitely stepped up in his acting, Catherine Moss and Lawrence Fishburne are great supporting casts (I wish they can return in the sequel!) I thought the ending was a little bit chessy, but it left the viewers wondering what happens next. Press released saying that it's been confirmed the 2 sequels will be in production and will be released within 3 months of each other, Keanu Reeves will be in those movies, but as for the rest of the casts its still unknown. Can't wait.

Summary: Finally a movie that lives up to the hype!!
Review: 1999 has been a disappointing year for me movie wise. EVERY movie that I have been looking foward to this year has been one let down after another(Star Wars ep.1,Wing Commander,Godzilla,The Avengers,The list goes on and on). All of these movies just seem to hype the special effects only and not have a good story. Well The Matrix is the only exception for me(so far). The Matrix was the only movie this year that I was looking foward to seeing that actually gave me what I went in for.....A GREAT MOVIE!! Yes it has fantastic special effects, but is has more. It has an excellent story, great cast, I even liked Keanu Reeves acting in this film, which is rare for me!The Matrix feels like a live action Japanimation film. If you are a fan of anime films like "Wicked City" and "Ghost in the Shell", I think you will like this film. It has the same style and feel of these animated movies. The Matrix gives me hope that maybe Hollywood is able to release a science fiction that not only has great special effects, but also give us a story that doesn't insult someone with an IQ above room temp. I decided while I was watching this film in the theater(which I saw several times), that as soon as The Matrix hits the shelves, I'm buying it!

Review: Fantastic. This is just incredible! I've seen many great movies in my time, but this is probably my favourite! The special effects are awesome and the actors are beyond cool! The fighting scenes are so awesome that you cannot think of anything but the film for days after you've seen it. It has got everything a good film needs, and is just perfect. If you like movies, and have not seen The Matrix; be ashamed! See it, buy it, love it!!!

Review: I LOVED this movie and will keep seeing it in the theaters aslong as possible. Keanu was meant for the big screen, yes? I lovedall the double meanings, play on words, etc. in this. But the visuals! I want to be totally entranced when I watch a movie and with The Matrix I did. Only twice was I pulled out of my dream like state. When cookies come out of the oven they are chewy - not crunchy. And in one scene near the end Carrie-Anne's hair is hanging in her eyes and then it disappears. Hate bloopers! Anyway... I want to say Thank You to the Brothers and I hope the sequels can top this. Most don't-so please try to keep the same style and sexiness of the first one! If Keanu is there it will be.

Review: When i entered the theatre with my matrix ticket, i figured id be sitting through another sci-fi/shoot 'em up with talentless actors (aka. keanu reeves), tons of dazzling special effect, and no story to mesh all this together. I WAS WRONG!! this was my favorite movie of the year. it had great action, awesome f/x, and a story the will blow you away. its rare to have a movie loaded in all key areas. i kept you thinking, it kept you involved. so often nowadays the cgi f/x are better than the plot. trust me THE MATRIX is a total package. even reeves was good in this.

Summary: Just had to be the first...
Review: I saw this movie for the first time in the UK, and almost didn't due to the inclusion of Keanu Reeves. As a philosophy major at uni, this movie was suprisingly thought provoking and drew its inspiration from one of the oldest of philosophical quesitons: how can we be sure that everything is as our senses claim... spooky. Anyway, I liked it loads. Cracking soundtrack, great directing, and for once the good guys get to wear the leather jackets and the cool shades! Order it now... I know I have.

Review: This is one of the best movies I've seen! The plot is a realmind-blower and in-depth. You'll say to yourself: "no way"over and over again through-out. The Special Effects are great, and make the story more believable. My favorite movie of this genre up to this point, WAS Aliens, But now I can say, that has been surpassed!
