Rating: Summary: A review from Mr. Entertainment Lover Review: This is one of the best films that have been made. It's about a knight who is training a young prince to become a king. When the prince's father die he is to become king. That day comes, but unfortunetly he is wounded in battle. The knight, Bowen takes him to a dragon to heal him. The dragon (named Draco) does and makes the boy promise never to be evil like his father. This innocent prince then becomes a blood-thirsty king. Bowen gets angry thinking it is the dragons fault. He goes on a spree killing dragons and later realizes that it isn't the dragons fault. He then teams up with Draco the Dragon to put the king out of power. The movie is sad and very touching. I almost cried at the end and so will most of you. The dragon looks real and the music is stunning. Dennis Qauid, Sean Connery, and Pete Postelthwait are dynamite in this movie. Each of them are at truly top notch perfomences.
Rating: Summary: A coat of arms two claws up! (and a real tear jerker too!) Review: The special effects are incredable! Draco is so lifelike. The characters are medievily wonderful. I laughed,I cried,I was scared, and excited all at the same time! The ending is a heartbreaker.:( You gotta see this movie or you'll burn at the stake! (p.s, it's my favorite movie!!)
Rating: Summary: Extremely entertaining awesome effects Review: This movie has become one of my favorites. It was funny and moving. I of course didn't want it to end the way it did. The special effects are incredible. The movements and manorisms are so real you felt like the dragon could've actually been there for them to film. Great movie
Rating: Summary: A Fantasy Masterpiece Review: This movie is the best in the whole entire world! It's my ultimate favorite! The first time I saw it, I cried at the end, it was so sad. If you are interested in fantasy (dragons, slayers, etc) you'll fall in love with this movie. You just have to see it at least once.
Rating: Summary: Good fantasy entertainment! Review: This movie moved very well. The Dragon was very credible. Great effects and sound. Good acting and casting. Watch this one.
Rating: Summary: Good enough reason to own a DVD player Review: Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful transfer. If anyone wonders if DVD looks that much better than videotape, this is the film to show them. When David Thewlis pulls the arrow out of his chest, I swear I could have reached out and touched his chain mail armour it seemed so real. Sound wise, just as good.I liked the movie when i first rented it on tape, but fell in love with it after seeing this DVD.
Rating: Summary: A Knights and Dragon Fantasy adventure with DTS Review: The film "Dragonheart" is a whimsical adventure well acted with outstanding special effects. The DTS format makes the experience that much greater. For anyone interested in fun films with top of the line sound ...this is the movie to get.
Rating: Summary: A perfect dragon movie.. Review: This movie was incredible! I am a big fantasy fan as well as a medieval buff and Sean Connery fan and the dragon was EXCEPTIONAL!!the special effects were awesome and Draco's mannerisms were definately those of Mr. Connery's. I've always thought Connery should have lived in the mid ages, just never thought he would be portrayed as a dragon:) ...king, yes...dragon...well yeah, that was pretty cool too!!!:)
Rating: Summary: Great picture - DTS sound is AMAZING Review: The film is really good and DTS sound is amazing. If you do not have a DTS decoder, go out and buy one. It is worth the money.
Rating: Summary: Half a film Review: It simply isn't enough just to have good special effects when making a movie. This one certainly does, but the plot is lame and not well developed at all.
