Summary: The Best in the Universe
Review: Being a child of the 80's (If that wasn't the best decade I don't know anything that could possibly beat it), I have to say that He-Man kicked major butt. My brother and I saw it in the theatre, and we were in awe. He's grown out of it, but I haven't. I'll forever be entranced by the corny, however lovable sword fights, the scene where Courtney Cox gets her leg fried like a Barbie doll held up to a lightbulb for too long, and of course the demise of Skeletor. Who knew that a 16 year old girl would be in love with He-man, but he's what I grew up with. All they needed was a cameo appearence by She-ra, and the movie would have been beyond perfection. LOVE IT! Must see.

Review: The movie was ok, though I was disapointed that BattleCat was there. He-Man never went anywhere without. And Greyskull was always gloomy in appearence. It made first time viewers think twice about the sorceress living there.

Review: I couldn't believe what I was seeing when I saw this movie. First of all, He-Man was not himself, and the very corny plot just had nothing to do with the cartoon at all! What kind of film did they put together for this mess?! I prefer the cartoon any day, because the very disappointing movie is disrespectful to the real character of He-Man!

Summary: it has the power!
Review: In my opinion the movie was okay... skeletor was played to perfection. but at times the efforts of the villans to be extremely maniacal went overboard to the point that it seemed outright corny. the fact that there was no indication that they were on earth, no mention at all of what planet they were on was troubling. we just assumed they were on earth because of the scenery. the fact that the streets were empty durring the sword and laser battles was a major blow to the film's success. I know it's a fantasy film but there is a certain point were reality must fit in. this was definately not a star wars wannabe. it stands on it's own merrits. special effects could have been better (close observers may notice that he-man simply moseys on camera from the dimensional doorway on earth) Many aspects of the story line were left uncovered making for a standard, tired good versus evil story line... but all in all the action sequences were enough to keep the theatre audience awake for the climactic sword battle. Star Trek fans may notice Courtney Cox's Boyfriend in the film, better known as star trek : voyager's own pretty boy Helmsman Ensign Tom Paris (Robert Duncan McNeil). but for the most part a good action flick that didn't get it's due credit.

Review: This movie doesn't lack any action like the cartoon, but should stick with the same characters in the cartoon. These people who made the movie, should learn everything from the cartoon before making it into a movie. I think these people would have learned a thing or two from the cartoon! I think there should be a remake of the movie because there were a lot of improvements they could make! All and all an alright movie!

Summary: Masters of the Unverse: A must-have for true He-Man fans!
Review: To the people of newer generations who missed out on the amazing He-Man franchise, this movie would be nothing more than another cheap sci-fi Star Wars wannabe. But to true He-Man fans like myself, this movie is nothing less than a milestone. The special effects were ahead of their time, and the action sequences (especially the final confrontation between He-Man and Skeletor) were exceptional. The acting left little to be desired -- particularly Frank Langella's portrayal of the sinister Skeletor. And though the movie would have fared better to include more classic cartoon-originated characters (Where the heck were Trapjaw, Tri-clops, Ram-man, and the others?) and fewer "newbies" (Where the heck did Karg, Saurod, and Blade come from?), it still had a decent plot. Others would say I'm crazy, but I truly love Masters of the Universe!
