Review: I read all the reviews here. I like this movie because even fans of the MK stuff will love this. I know because I am a huge fan of the video game series and the movies of this title. What is with you people who gave this movie one star? This movie saves everything. If you don't like it! then why did you buy this movie in the first place? You put Robin Shou down. This movie is the best of the best amung all the mortal Kombat games and the first movie. Even fans of MK stuff will love this movie. You people who gave this movie one star are insensitive. I highly recommend this film to all future MK fans. Buy this movie and enjoy it. Next time please keep the negative reviews to yourselves?

Summary: Good God this is horrible
Review: Being a big fan of the Mortal Kombat video game series and the first movie, I had mixed feelings when I heard Christopher Lambert would not be playing Rayden (he was great). First off, I will say this, the acting is absolutely horrid!!! The acting in the first movie was so-so, but the acting here is simply terrible, especially the actors portraying Motaro, Sheeva, Nightwolf, and Sonya. And what happened to Jax? He went from a cool kind of guy to a token black guy who makes stupid wisecracks. Speaking of stupid wisecracks, James Remar as Rayden was a bad move, the only thing worse than his wisecracks are when he tries to be serious and philosophal about destiny. Shao Khan went from a fearsome enemy from the games to an overacting villian who ain't so fearsome, and why did Johnny Cage have to be killed in the first 8 minutes? Why oh why was this movie even made? Oh well, I just hope they don't make another Mortal kombat movie as bad as this steaming piece of garbage.

Summary: HORRIBLE!
Review: This has got to be one of the worst movies ever made. I was a BIG fan of Mortal Kombat the game. I was an even bigger fan after I saw Mortal Kombat the movie! I was SO excited when I heard they were making this movie. But after I saw it I didn't care if I ever played the game ever again. The first movie was perfect. I don't know what they were thinking with this movie. At one point a mountain is supposed to blow up. It is SO obvious that it is just a small mound of dirt they built up and then blew up. Every single special effect used is horrible. To top that off is the horrible actors brought in. The first Rayden was perfect. This new Rayden is a joke. He even tells jokes. He tells one stupid joke after another. And then you have Jax. He's pretty good when he has his metal arms. But in the end they are ripped off. You would think that would be cool except his real arms are underneath! They weren't robot arms at all! Just metal gloves! Then you have Shao Kahn. Possibly the WORST part of the movie. He's just some white guy. There's nothing scary about him. He's not huge and he's not scary. He's just a normal white guy. He looks NOTHING like he did in the first Mortal Kombat movie. This movie was a HUGE mistake. It hurt Midway badly. I heard they were making yet another Mortal Kombat movie. I'll go see it if it doesn't look like the junk this movie turned out to be.

Summary: "Nothing can alter your destony, nor mine."
Review: This movie is not horrible. I like this film as well as the first one. The fighting, acting, effects, everything is good. Why would people reject this. This film is absolutely great. I saw this in the theatres in 1997. I've been a huge fan of the MK stuff ever since I played the games and watched the first and the second films. I like all the characters including Raidine himself, Shao Kahn, Sirax, Smoke, Sheva, Liu Cang, Scorpion, and Sonya. Subzero is an awesome character as well. I see nothing that is ridiculous about this film. Is this MK movie really that bad? Give me a break! it isn't bad. If you can prove to me that this movie is as bad as you say it is! then I will hear oppinions on E mail. This movie is what'll keep you jumping. I know the fight scenes are violent, but let's face it! this film is an absolute must have for future MK fans. I'm not afraid of my destony. I challenge the ones who oppose this film to Mortal Kombat. Do they accept? Then buy this. Nothing can alter my destony, nore yours.

Summary: Worst movie ever made!
Review: Not only worst movie, but also worst sequel. This movie gave Mortal Kombat a bad name. The first movie was great with it's awesome fights, good acting, funny moments and good special effects for 1995. This one had the worst acting, fighting, and special effects. You could even tell that they were not actually hitting each other while fighting. Plus, Sonya, Raiden, and Johnny Cage were played by different people. Next time the creators of the game need to hire a professional director, instead of doing it themselves. It was like watching a made for t.v. movie. They should have never made it and I pray the rumors about MK3 are just rumors. But hey if it's not, they might as well train a monkey to direct it, cause I'm sure it could do better than creators who made this one!

Summary: "Flawless victory." Yeah, right.
Review: This movie has more plot holes than Swiss cheese. Where did those velosospheres come from? Jax was just a brief cameo in the first movie, so why did he get those cybernetic arms in the meantime? Sub-Zero had a brother, and why did he dissapear right after his fight with Scorpion? Why did Jade double-cross the group? And animalities? Give me a break. As someone who knows a smattering of the Mortal Kombat mythology (thanks to a dangerously in-depth article posted at GameSpot) this movie was just plain awful. Bad acting, cheesy effects, deplorable writing, and plot holes big enough to throw Jade's spear through without hitting the sides. Avoid this movie.

Summary: Worst Sequel!

Cast,Plot,The short 4 minutes of seeing one character and then a whole different one,I got to tell you I have the tape for this movie at home and I think I have seen it less than maybe 5 times, thank God! The only thing I liked about the movie was their cool powers! Sighning off,A Jurassic Park fan and lover, Ciao babies!

Summary: It was a Good Movie, Despite what others say about It.
Review: Mortal Kombat Annihilation was a pretty good movie, except it could have been improved. There were lots of faults in characters and plot. Like how they changed characters for Rayden, Sonya, and Johnny. The change of characters was very dissapointing for me, especially Sonya's character. Sandra Hess is like the opposite of what Brigette Wilson was. Hess was totally out of character of the actual Sonya. When I first saw the movie, I was like, "What the h***", and how Johnny Cage was killed easily. A lot of the fans knpw that one of the major faults of this movie is the amount of characters that was in it.

I mean, come on. There was over 25 characters in this moie! Which meant some of the characters were only shown for about a minute, and then they die. Like Sheeva. I recently talked to her actress, Marjean Holden, and she said she was very upset about the cheap death seen, along that she was suppose to have a fight in the movie. A very big dissapointment for me as well as her. And how about Ermac and Rain? Two famous ninjas were both shown to be weak and pathetic, especially that Rain os shown for about 30 seconds total. Very dissapointing.

Some reviewers also said that the named weren't said, like Shinnok's or Mileena's. Mainly the movie was intended for fans of the game, so they should know their names and their back grounds. And a lot of people are dissapointed that the fact that some cool characters weren't not shown at all. Like Kung lao and Sektor. Most characters were changed from their original selves, like how Smoke was "reprogrammed", even though Sub-Zero and him were allies. Some also said that Jade was out of character. I personally liked Jade, but being asian and evil is totally out of character.

So techinacally, I enjoyed the movie, and do recomend it for fans. The third movie is in production right now, hope it gets released soon.
