Summary: A combination of Indpenendance Day and modern technology.
Review: Extraordinary effects that will leave an indelible mark in your memory

Summary: Not as expected-A great ride on the special affects machine.
Review: I strngly recommend buying the wide screen version since pan and scan takes away from the special affects. The story line is an old one but has been told really well in this version and the roughnecks as heros brings a since of the hero in every americans soul. A movie you can enjoy over and over again.

Summary: SPECIAL EFFECTS BONANZA!
Review: Exciting film to watch. Lots of dynamite special effects woven into this action adventure. Something for everyone with action , romance and even a little comedy. Willis and Affleck are good together. Not Willis' best effort, but definitely good enough to earn a "thumbs up" for this movie. It will be great on DVD with surround sound at home!

Summary: Utterly Insulting
Review: I felt utterly insulted by Armageddon. I am certainly no enemy to action movies (the Die Hard trilogy ranks up there as three of my favorites), but Armageddon is worse than brain-dead - it attempts to manipulate emotions through the promise of credibility then betrays those very institutions that it needed to put people in seats. I can forgive a movie that misses some technical details but at least gets the spirit right of the institutions it is portraying. Armageddon missed on both counts. There are those who will say that it wasn't meant to be anything more than a testosterone-laden action flick, but they are wrong. The Hollywood hype machine promised a true event epic in which we would be made to care about the impending end of the world. This caring would come from the premise that we could really face this threat - and this is what we would do about it. In other words, reality. The delivery, of course, was just more eye candy. It was quite obvious to even the most casual observer that no attempt was made for a realistic portrayel of NASA, the astronauts, the US Government, or even the physical reality around us. The film tried to capitalize off of saying, "This could really happen!" and then lurched into a second half in which the events portrayed could never have occurred. It used reality to get you to care, then discarded it when it wasn't convenient. This movie was filmed like a two and a half hour music video in which brawn wins over brains and the public is supposed to swallow it. For space-related movies that don't assume you're a total idiot, see Apollo 13 or From the Earth to the Moon.

I give it two stars because of Billy-Bob Thornton, the fantastic effects work, and the fact that it was still better than Broken Arrow and The Jackel.

Summary: Boring and overrated
Review: Bored with this movie and I expected way better from Affleck and Willis. Would rather watch Independance Day, Men In Black, or the Star Wars trilogy, which were 100 times better.

Rating: 1 stars
Summary: If you are over the age of 15- Skip it.
Review: An insult to your intelligence. Put together a goup of madcap misfit underdogs. Throw them into space. Have them save the world. Watch their crazy anti-establishment antics in MTV video format!

Silly.

"Deep Impact" is a better movie with the same subject matter in the action/adventure genre.

But, oh, Armageddon is horrible.

Review: Armageddon is an awesome movie with cool graphics and adventurous roles. This tale of excitement places the world in jeopardy and all life as we know it. I loved every minute of it. I think you'll love it too if you are an excitement kind of person.
