Summary: The Most Anticipated Movie Of 2002 Was A Phenomenon!
Review: There was no other movie in the year 2002 better than "The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers", sequel to "The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring" which was brilliant! This movie offered so much anticipation and excitement that it will be perfect to own on DVD and VHS when it's released in stores. "The Two Towers" deserved to win all the Academy Awards it was nominated for at the Oscars, including best motion picture of the year. I only have one more thing to say about this movie: It's phenomenal! and "The Two Towers" is WAY better than the dumb movie musical "Chicago".

Review: "The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring" was amazing! But it's sequel "The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers" is even better! The visual effects were fasanating, the music (score) was superb, and the cinematography was excellent! The cast [actors and actresses], especially Andy Serkis who played the virtual character (Gollum), did brilliant on acting! The action and adventure this movie had to offer was incredible! The drama, romance, and fantasy in "The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers" was excellent! And the plot went very well with "The Lord of the Rings" book trilogy by the author J.R.R. Tolkien. This movie deserves a perfect five out of five stars because of it's brilliacy.

Review: The TT is great a star among all movies yet a piece of dirt compared to the book.I know it cant be perfect BUT PLEASE cant you make it any better????Well the movie is a "Keeper" as my family would say (that means its worth evry penny you pay) It dose have killing but not much "gore and guts" and helms deep OH MAN IS THAT GOOD!!!!!!!!!!

Review: I never believed for one minute that the movie could be anywhere as tantalizing as the book was, but that just shows how wrong I was! The acting was superb, the scenery was beautiful, and the entire movie left me so awestruck that it was all I could talk about for days. Even if you have not previously seen or read The Fellowship of the Ring, this movie will be incredibly enjoyable.

Review: "The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers" is the best movie of 2002! "Chicago" is the worst movie of 2002! Who cares about the dumb Oscars! At least "The Two Towers" won two. No movie can get better than this! Only "The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King" will be even better than "The Two Towers. Believe it or not this movie is even better than "The Fellowship of the Ring" it's wonderful prequel. Buy it for DVD or VHS when it is released in stores! "The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers" is amazing and spectacular!

Summary: The Epic Continues
Review: "Those thieves. They've stolen my precious, and we wants it!" With this line, the creature Gollem is finally shown, and let me tell you, the special effects team really delivered on this one! He looks amazing, and it appears as if he's really in the movie with Elijah Wood and Sean Astin. Anyway, once again, the movie lived up to the hype surrounding it. We all already knew that the story was good, but we weren't sure how it would be adapted for the movie version. Fortunately, there were only a few changes here and there, but despite those changes, it was still a terrific movie. The special effects were even better than the first, and the battle of Helm's Deep is one of the greatest battles in film history. Ok, the story picks up right where The Fellowship of the Ring left off. Aragorn, Legolas, and Gimli are still searching for Merry and Pippen, who escaped their captors, and have met the Ents. Frodo, Sam, and Gollem are still taking the ring to Mordor, and Gollem decided to act as their guide. Aragorn, Legolas, and Gimli are then forced to participate in the Battle of Helm's Deep, Merry and Pippen join the Ents in the Seige of Orthanc, and Frodo and Sam are brought to Boromir's home, Gondor. Gandalf also returns as Gandalf the White, and he aids at Helm's Deep. Finally, the movie wins the award for the best one person dialogue (Gollem and Smealgol)! The movie perfectly continues a perfect begginning, and we can only hope that Return of the King continues the tradition.

Review: If you are a Tolkien Purist and did not appreciate the parts director Peter Jackson, and crew, cut, added, and changed in "The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers" theatrical release, then buy the Extended DVD Edition when it is released in stores. Don't buy the theatrical release DVD. The "The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers Extended DVD Edition" will have 41 minutes of extra footage that was not seen in the theatrical release. A lot of the parts in the Extended DVD Edition, which were not seen in the theatrical release, will have more parts from the book. "The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers Extended DVD Edition" will be released in stores on this date: November 18, 2003. If you are a Tolkien Purist, or love "The Lord of the Rings" book trilogy, then buy the Extended DVD Edition of "The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers" when it is released in stores. I have read the books myself and loved them. But I understand why director Peter Jackson, and his crew, cut, added, and changed some parts to "The Two Towers" movie; so I will just go ahead and buy the theatrical release DVD. "The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring" also had many complaints from Tolkien Purists about not going by the book well. But when the Extended DVD Edition was released in stores, and bought by many fans of "The Lord of the Rings" book trilogy, there were barely anymore complaints because "The Fellowship of the Ring Extended DVD Edition went more well to the book. The same thing will happen to "The Two Towers". I happen to not care much about the Extended DVD Editions of "The Lord of the Rings" movies. I like the movies better than the books.

Summary: The First Installment was Better
Review: Though and outstanding movie, the "Two Towers" fails somewhat when compared to the first. Unlike "The Fellowship of the Ring," the movie departs - quite drastically at times - in several places. In retrospect, it would have worked out better had Peter Jackson stayed closer to the book, in both a theatrical and dramatic sense.The first major departure was the activity of Treebeard, and the debate of the Ents. In the movie, Pippen and Merry convince Treebeard to take them close to Saruman's stronghold, where Treebeard sees the devastation of Orthanac and the surrounding forest. The whole scene plays pretty hokie. In the book, Treebeard is already considering action against Saruman - Pippen and Merry simply give him a nudge over the edge, so to speak. All in all, the movie version comes off pretty bad. The encounter with Faramir is another departure that would have been done better had it followed the book. Faramir is a poingant counterpoint to his brother Boromir, and is not corrupted by the lure of the Ring's power. He let's Frodo and Sam go. In the movie, he drags them to daddy. Some of the character development begins to unravel in the second movie as well. Aragorn's portrayal is weakend by the loss of Boromir (mainly because the two actors plying the respective parts are good, and work well off of one another). Galadriel gets more and more bizzare in her actions (the whole "witchy-elf" couunterpoint that Jackson puts in goes a bit too far). Pippen and Merry end up looking more like communist revolutionaries then meek hobbits. Also, much of the weaknesses of the first movie are carried off into the second. Much of the acting is too staged, phoney, or the timing is rushed. Some actions and dialog seem overblown or "overtly" heroic. However, many of the new characters introduced are very well done. Theoden is well acted and well scripted, as are Grima Wormtongue, and Eowyn (who's quite hot, I might add). Arwen plays more prominatly in this installment as well (see "hot" comment above) and much of the tension and turmoil within the mind and soul of Aragorn is explained as well. Gollum is extremely well written and played. They did a pretty good job with Treebeard, in addition to providing more "comic" exposure for Gimli as well. I recommend buy the extended edition of "The Fellowship of the Ring" before getting this installment.

Review: If you thought The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring was good, then wait until you see The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers, it's wonderful sequel! This movie is just plain phenomenal and is WAY better than all the other movies I have seen in the year 2002. The action was intense, the fun was incredible, and the adventure was wonderful! The Two Towers, and The Fellowship of the Ring, are even better than Star Wars! Now I cannot wait to see The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King, the most highly anticipated movie of 2003!
