Summary: The duo is back
Review: Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones is back, and this time with a dog with even more attitude than before. But the the best actor has to be the computer graphics. Computer graphics is what they are: Computer graphics. But you don't necessarily call them only that if they do certain things to you:A: Frighten you. B: Make you laugh. C: Serve as something the guys who made the movie couldn't do any better. Because I am not, D: Impressed by computer graphics anymore.

But hey, this movie manages to be funny. Several scenes from the movie are quite cool, and just when I thought that "Who lets the dog out" song had gone out of style... It's exactly as short as it should be, it has a certain blue note on both Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones's part to give the story a boost, but hey, it's Men in Black.
Recommended comedy.

Summary: A stretch..
Review: First I will say that I loved the first MIB.. and I was in line the first day that the original movie came out.. On the other hand I am glad that I never saw this in the theatre..

While this was a very enjoyable movie to watch it lacked some of the witty humour of the first movie.. I laughed very few times and in fact at times was like.. what the? Specially the flush scene.. Cute but, what the heck was up with the cheesy dialogue at the end of the scene?

it was nice to see our two agents back in action though.. They came equiped with bigger guns.. and a broader cast of good guys (the worms are back in here)..

At times though you do get the feeling that the Director had no idea where he really wanted to go with the movie..

Summary: Solidly Mediocre
Review: This movie is solidly mediocre. I really like MIB1, but MIB2 follows the stereotype of a bad sequel. Until I saw the movie, I had not really thought about the fact that no one recommended this movie to me when it came out. Usually a good movie will prompt several people to suggest it. A great move will prompt almost everyone I know to suggest it. Not surprisingly, we even spared the last twenty minutes to watch something more beneficial (a rarity, considering how many movies we watch). When I saw the average rating, I was not all surprised that it was three stars. That is the best that I would give it, as well.

Summary: Better than everyone said it would be
Review: Okay, I agree, this movie was NOT all it was cracked up to be. Still, after hearing so many people say how bad it was, it proved to be a good investment of an hour and twenty minutes. Even if you don't like it, there is that one redeeming quality--it's less than 1 1/2 hours long.

I thought this movie was very funny--funnier than the first. Will Smith, as Jay, completely outdoes himself here, and Tommy Lee Jones contributes to the humor as the cranky, by-the-book Kay. Of course, there is not a whole lot to the plot--what did you expect?--but the movie nonetheless remains very entertaining.

MIIB is definitely worth the viewing, though I'd recommend you watch it before you buy it. You may not want to watch this one over and over, but it would be well worth your time to see it at least once.

Summary: Back in harness
Review: A sequel is never as unique the original, get used to it. But this DVD is engaging, fresh and provides a solid entertainment experience. With all such fare a "suspension of disbelief" is mandatory. I liked it! I bought it. Both lead characters are well developed and some favorites from MIB 1 are reprised. The effects are great, seamless and believable. The action is non-stop and the ride filled with an appropriate number of twists and turns. The extras/specials are engaging but not spectacular.

Summary: Save your $$. If you haven't seen the movie rent it first.
Review: With as good as the first movie was, this one is just as bad. Not enough Tommy Lee Jones and too little story. Some nice special effects, but all that takes is money and it can't carry a film.

Summary: Totally dissapointing
Review: MIB 1 was one of my most favorite movies. So I bought MIB II. What a total dissapointment. One of the worst movies ever made. The acting, script, almost everything except the special effects where poorly done. This is total hollywood trash at its worst.

I fell a sleep during the movie - that's how bad it was.

This one might even get sold at a discount retailer.

Summary: As Good As It Gets
Review: Unfortunately MIIB did not deliver as well as the orginal, but it still has lots of action and comedy. The movie basically flopped at the box office compared to the first MIB film. The feel of the theme just didn't come back while watching this movie. I'd be suprised if there will be a MIIIB, Men In Black is being pulled to the ground and trangled and cannot compete against films such as James Bond 007 and the Jurassic Park films. Steven Spielberg should work more on his other movie franchise's instead of MIB. I recommend that you don't buy but rent this movie. Not great enough to add to your DVD collection, rather rent MIIB. We all have different opinions and this is mine.

Summary: Histerical!
Review: Reading a few negative reviews prompted me to counter with this positive review. I honestly thought the movie was great! Tommy Lee Jones and Will Smith are an unlikely duo to place side by side each other in a blockbuster movie, but together they bring out the best traits of one another. Tommy Lee Jones is histerical as "K" who has no memory of being in this Men in Black organization and Will Smith has the job of trying to convince K that he was, who thinks he was a mailman most his working life! I really thought the jokes were funnier this time around and I'm defintely putting this on my wish list.

Summary: Buy this video for the Chub Chubs
Review: The Extras on this DVD make it worth a look, but honestly you could skip the movie and get more enjoyment out of the disc. I Can not believe this movie got released as is. The story IS remenicent of the first MIB but I don't fault that; I mean how many sequels have there been that simply rehash original material. The big problem I had with this film was that it only gives a cursory glimps of the plot line, the movie feels so rushed I thought I was being brushed off by someone who had something better to do. If the film had been given the time to develop all its ellements I think there would have been a good movie in it, but as it is the runing time is just around 1hr 20min and in the day and age of 3hr versions of LOTR and 2hr 45min of Harry Potter I think a great injustice was done to this production by not fleshing it out fully. There were some good points in the performances... but without the time to really develope the characters even these great actors have a tendency to appear wooden and in some cases bored. The aliens were of course a high point but without a good story to present them it seemed more like a pagent for animatronics and CGI; "here is alien pupet #1" "here is alien computer grafic #5" "aren't they beautiful" this gets tedious after a while no matter how beautiful Rick Bakers work is.
The Extras have some real pluses though, and I found them all very worth while, the Blooper real is side spliting. The Special efects docu shorts aren't as good as the ones included on the Episode I disc but are still very interesting. And far and above everything else is the animated short film called "Attack of the Chub Chubs" this is totally hilarious, one of the best short subjects you will ever see... I rank it right up there with "For the Birds" which is included on the Monsters Inc DVD.
BOTTOM LINE: If you don't expect much from this DVD you will be satisfied by it, but if you expect the magic of MIB I you will probably be angery and sad.
