Summary: Good medieval action.
Review: A dragon talking (and looking at times) like Sean Connery in Entrapment seems a bit ludicrous, but it works. Dennis Quaid as the wandering knight does a good job, but the dragon steals the show. The camerawork is spectacular, especially in widescreen and Dragonheart has a good score. The one thing that was lacking was the relationship between many of the characters. I don't say it often, but this movie could have been a bit longer to work the personalities out. Even so, it is a great show, with plenty of action.

Summary: A good family movie
Review: This is a very strange movie. At times it feels like you're watching a high-budget episode of Hercules, and at others it feels like it's trying to impart on you a message about the human condition. An epic story in a comedy format.While Quaid is surprisingly adept as the Knight Bowen, the real star of this movie is the CGI dragon, and they did an absolutely incredible job on him. He always fits in, always looks real, and Sean Connery's voice fits the bill perfectly. Unfortunately, the dragon's mentality is a little too human. This movie has tons of comic relief, silly costuming, quirky dialogue, and the sets look about as much like medieval England as the ones in hercules do like Ancient Greece. Still, the movie is saved by the fact that it knows this, and doesn't try to take itself seriously. This is an absolutely wonderful film to watch, but it doesn't have much real depth or lasting value to it. For eye-candy, watch this movie, but for a really interesting, much better dragon film check out dragonslayer.

Review: Dragonheart isnt a bad movie,but its not that good either.For starters,Could someone tell me why they rated it pg-13?there was no cussing,And no that much blood/gore/violence.I think it should have been rated pg but anyway....I think its at least worth a rental

Summary: DTS Defines Dragonslayer!
Review: I've watched this movie in other formats and finally was able to play Dragonslayer on my new DTS system - absolutely fantastic. To hear every distinct wing beat as he circles above left me realizing the time and effort for DTS is worth every bit. Got to have it!

Summary: A Helluva Movie!
Review: This is a *great* film, no doubt about it. Draco was fantastic, Bowen great, and Einion evil enough for me! I will admit that this is not my favorite movie, even though I am a dragonlover, simply b/c I don't care for the whole dragonslayer bit. (It's slightly old) But by no means is it bad or even "just ok" - it's a cool movie!(and not just the FX neither! Give the story a little credit!) The action figures are pretty neat as well...too bad there weren't some of those action figure dragons in the movie. I wish there was a sequel, but sadly I don't think that's very likely now.

Summary: Remember The Code!
Review: Okay, because this is my favorite movie in all the world, of all time, I feel obligated to set the record straight about a few things. First of all, right off: this was a GOOD movie. Don't believe a single one of those negative reviews. DragonHeart is a fantastic film, with well-developed characters (especially Bowen and, in some respects, the dragon Draco), the most amazing music of any soundtrack ever made, astounding special effects better than the ones in "Jurassic Park", incredible acting (Dennis Quaid, you _made_ Draco come alive), and a message about life. What else can you ask for in a movie? Okay, second point: if you have any problem with the plot of this movie, and how it flows, blame the director, Rob Cohen. To the reviewer in San Diego: Cohen _does_ seem to have poured his heart into the making of DragonHeart . . . but he didn't. Half of DragonHeart's most important scenes were edited out by Cohen. He left behind only a shell of the original purpose at times (poor Queen Aislinn was meant to have many more scenes than she actually did), and some aspects of the story were never fully explained the way the screenplay writer, Charles Edward Pogue, intended them to be. (But this is still the most awesome movie.) Which brings me to my third point: if you didn't like this movie, and of course if you DID, by all means, READ THE BOOK! You will LOVE it! The book was done by Charles Edward Pogue and is my favorite book of all time. Things that never appeared in the movie were placed in the book (for instance, the rest of the Old Code), and other scenes were given greater nuance and explained more. Give the book a try. I love this story. Charles Edward Pogue said it perfectly: "This movie says, 'We must deal with life as it is, but we can't lose sight of life as it _should_ be'." This film is about honor and humor and love and life. Give it a try; this story will touch your heart. Look to the stars!

Summary: worthy of fifty stars
Review: I rarely give a movie five stars on these reviews. But I'd say that this one is worthy of each and every one of them. It's my favorite movie. The plot is wonderful, the effects are awesome, and the musical score is breathtaking. I don't see why it wasn't nominated for the Best Score oscar, or any others. It may have and I just didn't know it, but I'd say that this is the best movie that I've ever seen. Even my big brothers like it. This movie also has a horribly evil villian, and that's what also makes a cool movie. If the villian is incredibly evil, then there's no danger of you feeling sorry for him\her. The friar's pretty funny too. And the dragon is the epitemy of awesome special effects. See this movie, you won't regret it! Trust me!

Review: One of the best movies ever made. I totally love Draco, but hate the sad ending. Don't think I'm giving it away, either. Ha, if you wanna know, go buy it, it's totally worth it. You can find it in Wal*Mart. There no kissy stuff in it, and that's good for kids my age who think it's really gross. By the way, I'm 11, turning twelve in March. Buy this movie, you'll love it!!!!!!!!

Review: My son, who is 3 1/2, is totally in love with Draco and watches him constantly. I have seen this movie a thousand times, and I still cry at the end.
