Review: I dont care worth a rats hide what all u so called "movie critics" or those whom consider themselves film experts say...i could care less because i am still watching Hackers. There is very little technical flaw. The film focuses on the Hacker culture not the actual events that they engage in so not everything is said but what is said is as accurate as can be within a film script and in accordance to the legitiment Hacking underground..and ive said it before and ill say it again people...its a MOVIE. Designed To entertain, not to sit there and be real. Ive watched Hackers almost literally 900 times..and the number rises immensely since i purchased the DVD from Amazon.com (great thanx to all at Amazon, love ya) The culture is depicted so right and so beautifully, sayeth the Darkcircuitry, It makes me internal buses tingle to watch this movie over and over again. Im not going to say its for everyone because someone, somewhere, will always dislike or enjoy something, u cannot deem things, u r not a god. Hackers got me involved in computers in the first place, and it inspired me to learn all that i have and to continue learning not just in computing technology but in everything around me. So in my opinion it is a great movie, and if this review makes any sense to u..if u can feel what im saying.. then watch Hackers, because you will love it. sincerely, The Darkcircuitry__

Review: This movie is a great example of todays society and i belive it is and would be enjoyed by all who see it. It is my personal favorite. Do yourself a favor and watch this modern classic.

Review: I love and own (on VHS) this movie. First, let me say that in the wilder days of my youth, I knew and associated with 'real' hackers though I was never personally bold enough to do some of the things they did. Criticisms of this movie seem to come from two sources -- persons who know nothing about hacking, or computer professionals who were never personally inclined to hack and find the hacker lifestyle offensive. It is true that there is technical misinformation in this movie. I believe this was intentional so as not to provide unwise knowledge to those who might become hackers themselves. And, it is true that there is a rather sophomoric attachment to pop-culture dress, special effects and dialog. Considering the target audience of this movie, this was a smart marketing move on the writer's part. However, the main point driven home in this movie -- that the majority of hackers are merely curiosity seekers and not destructive miscreants -- is a TRUE representation of the hacker in our culture. The destructive hackers are merely the one-percenters we hear about in the news. This TRUE representation needed to be seen and heard and the movie accomplished it in spades. Bravo!

Summary: Fantastic fun piece of film
Review: What a good film! As a PC user now, it is technically flawed, yes, but that is irrelevant, cos it's not meant as a technical referance. Acting is better than good, but not brilliant, except from Angelina Jolie and Johnny-Lee Miller. Definatly one of those must MUST see films. Funny, sexy, and keeps you on the edge of your seat for the last third of the film at least. Watch it if you haven't.

Review: The movie it self was good. while its technical information was flawed its plot was intriguing. Its soundtrack is especially good. It was well acted except for the part of the "evil coporate hacker" which was just cheesy. They couldve done sooo much more with this movie but still its good, gripping and keeps you watching if your into computers.

Review: Hackers is one of the all time best movies I have ever seen and the clothes they wear are so tecno/rave Its about kids that are caught up in a kinda future thing and the two chinese guys on it are the coolest on it If your under the age of 16 you might not understand some of the things they do on it and it shows a couple of nude scenes

Summary: A poor piece of work
Review: As a computer professional, I found this movie both pointless and technically flawed. As a previous reviewer has stated, this movie is indeed not ABOUT Hackers, but rather, it is a sterotyped look at at ego maniac cyberpunks who haven't a clue how to use a computer or what to do with one. The use of psychadelic colors throughout the movie is sickening, the plot is weak and disjointed, and the movie's title should have been named "teenage cyber-dropouts from wonderland". Do yourself a BIG favor and rent either Wargames (Old, but has a good storyline) or Sneakers instead.
