Review: this movie is absolutly great, it's a great story, a lot of people complain about it, because it doesn't depict true hacker culture, well people, ya gotta remember two things: 1.) this movie is meant to be a visual manifestation of what hackers see the computer world is, and 2.) if they really showed what true hackers saw on their screen (mostly text, no graphics) then people would get boring, and not want to watch it, and the people that review this movie are always saying, " i'm a hacker, and i never goto clubs like that", tends to tip off the fact that the person really isn't a a hacker, and should use their imagination, and really get the creativity that went into this movie, this is a top of the line movie, awesome music, good acting, and nice visuals, 5 stars all the way!

Summary: Frustrating silly
Review: A movie with the maturity of a 12-year-old, and about the same level of technological know-how. It doesn't perpetrate a negative view of hackers, just an utterly silly one. Hacked databases in this movie have the most conveniently beautiful 3D interfaces! This sub-mediocre movie is made intolerable by lines like this sultry pickup line from Angelina Jolie: "you know, this RISC architecture is going to change the world." Waste your time with "Sneakers" instead.

Summary: Awsome Movie!
Review: This movie was great! The plot could have been a little more cleaver but it's brilliant compared to some other movies (Austin Powers for example). Not everything was right, but we must take into consideration that this was made many years ago and that's how things were. When the movie was made, the phone thing used to work but unfortunetly they fixed it so it doesn't anymore. It deserves five stars.

Review: Although this movie does show the true spirit of Hackers,it is flawed in plot,style,dialogue and design.I have never seen such sweet graphics on my computer.I have never ever met a Hacker who was as pleasing to the eye as Jolie.{although to be fair i have only met 2 or 3 people in my life as good looking as Jolie}I also have never seen anyone wear a body suit in new york.But the really wink link of the movie is the awful way they try to present this over cliched good vs bad thing.

Review: This movie is really bad. I am in no way a hacker or know anything about hacking but I can tell you that this movie was way off. Hackers are not cool, sociable kids who go to raves and casually go to their computers and "hack". Hackers are geeks who stay inside all the time and do nothing but use their computers, and their only friends are over the internet. And when you hack you don't get these wonderful graphics and animations it's all text and really boring. I don't understand how people can say that this is accurate it's only a farce made to make hacking seem cool and trendy. I'm surprised that people actually believe that that's what hacking is really like it's outrageus!

Summary: A must see for those interested in Hacker culture
Review: I rented this movie recently for the first time. It was spectacular. Although it doesn't give a completely accurate description of hacker culture, it comes close. This movies show's hackers to be what they really are: People looking for free information, not working to destroy things. The methods of hacking and phreaking (making free phone calls) are innaccurate enough so kids can't do it, but accurate enough to show it can be done and will inspire people to learn more about computers. This is the future

Review: I am a hacker, and ive never been to a bar like that!This movie is bad, not because of the cheezy plot, not because of the bad acting, but because there are little kids who watch this movie and go on aol (heh,if you didnt know, aol is NOT the hackers choice) and proclaim : 'i am a masta haxx0r d00dz'.Yeah, to be a 31337 hacker you gotta jump on a payphone and shout 'I AM DADE MURPHY, HACK THE PLANET'. Please people, if you see this movie, please dont try to become a hacker. If you actually payed $96 for this rubbish, you really arent smart enough to be a hacker, sorry.
