Summary: Qui-Gon MUST RETURN!
Review: The absolute best charactor in this flick was Qui-Gon. Yet, with his demise, there are SO MANY unanswered questions. WHY did he focus on Anakin? What was it he saw? How did he overlook the evil Senator? WHY? Somehow, Lucas must bring him back in either flashbacks, or as he did with OB-1 to resolve these questions, and many others. He needs to help his protoge, OB-1 understand the Force, and train young Anakin. As for me, I anxiously await the second film, Part II, hoping to see Qui-Gon again (Leeham Neeson).

Summary: Good special effect's, bad movie.
Review: The acting in this movie was very bad. My favorit charictor in the movie was Jar Jar Binks, but even his ears went through people because the acter's never even stoped to look at how to do this. A discrase to Star Wars.

Summary: It there was a better script we would have a MASTERPIECE!
Review: The acting is great Liam Neeson, Natalie Portman, Ewan McGregor, Samuel L. Jackson, Ian McDiarmid do a great job and Jar Jar the Gungan with repeated viewings is not that annoying. The visuals are of course great as in all the Star Wars movies. Jake Lloyd is no Haley Joel Osment but does a good job. The soundtrack by John Williams should have been nominated and should have won the Oscar. In my opinion I think that George is a little rusty directing and writing I hope now that he has warmed up with this episode he can do what he did with the first trilogy. My favorite new not human character was Watto I liked how detailed he was with his short beard. Just like in many reviews I'm waiting for the DVD which George already announced but I read that It won't be released this year but then they didn't said when, I hope early in 2001.

Summary: Forrest Mcsweeney and Star Wars Episode I
Review: The action of the Jedi Knights was very intense and captured the incredible power they posses, but the chemistry between Amadala and Annican was cheesy. JarJar Binks ruined any form of comic relief that you found in Episode IV and V. In fact, the entire Gungan nation was a bad joke. The entire movie became less serious and more childish, making The droid armys serious problems. Liam Neason and Ewan McGregor did an excellent job. They are real Jedi, but the space battles were 0 compared to IV,V, and VI. However, the pod race was good. Jake Lloyd can't act with his face though. This movie is no where near the caliber of the originals, and it sounds like I should rate this movie less than I did, but the Jedi were just that good, especially in the opening sequence. All I will say is that they throw down. The music is exceptional as always, played by my favorite French Horn section of the London Symphony Orchestra, yet it doesn't beat what Empire Strikes Back dished out. If you want to watch this movie to compare it to the originals then don't be prepared to be blown away or anything. To wrap it up, the Jedi are just plain cool in this movie, you will probably like them, but the mystery and mystical factor of the Jedi and the force are gone forever. 3 stars is the best I can do.

Summary: Good, Bad, I'm the Guy with the lightsaber.-TheJediWill
Review: THe action sequences are spetacular. The fighting is very well chreographed and the Podrace was done extremely great. The characters could use a little more development, but overall a good movie. It lives up and is similar to the plot of A New Hoppe, the whole damsel in distress, and really mean bad guy.

Summary: Just as good as the previous films!
Review: The action, characters, storyline, the SFX and the basic ideas behind this film were incredible. Where does Lucas come up with this stuff! You'd think by now he would have run out of new and great ideas, but the man just doesn't stop! Podraces, double lightsabers, Palpatine and his "split" personality, the Queen's secret, the battles, the twists, I mean, I loved everything about this film. I just can't wait to see what they have in store for us next. Bring on Episode II!

Summary: Bad Marketing
Review: The am not impressed by having no choice in puchasing the wide screen version in a higher priced "collector edition"! I guess that the big guns at the studio are going to bilk it for all its worth, and then come up with different formats for yet more moneys. Laser disk, or DVD?, stand by for a bit for yet more dollars. returned.

Summary: Backlash
Review: The backlash against this heavily hyped movie and DVD is unwarranted. Episode I was an entertaining fantastic film for the entire family. All the naysayers are people who fail to realize that these films were born out of B-Movie Saturday Matinee Serials and are treating them (inappropriately) as high art.

Summary: Not as bad as everyone says!
Review: The beginning of the Star Wars saga is definitely made for surround sound environments.

While most people seem to find the Episode I plotline to be boring, or what have you, I actually thought it was a good story. The lightsaber battle with Darth Maul was definitely the highlight of the movie for me.

Episode II is better than this, so if you haven't seen that, go to a theater near you NOW! :)

Summary: A Flawed Masterpiece
Review: The beginning was great. How can you not get excited when the two Jedi remove their hoods for the first time. Then, you get to hear the voice of a young Obi-Wan (Ewan McGregor) that would have made Sir Alec Guiness proud. It gets a bit slow when they reach Tatooine, until the podrace. After that, it's on to an exciting finish as politicians, armies, and Jedi Knights battle in their respective arenas. Can't wait for the next two.
