Summary: Use the disc as a frisbee
Review: I've seen better acting in elementary school plays

Summary: Worst Sci-Fi movie ever made
Review: This movie offers nothing to the true Sci-Fi fan. Special effects are nice yes, but we've have plenty of computer generated monsters running around recently. It is the worst Sci-Fi film ever made because the great special effects technology, huge budget, and excellent story (I'm referring to Heinlein's orginal, not the screen play) fell so far short of what it should have been.

In 10 years it will make excellent MST 3K fodder.

Summary: action packed and adventurous
Review: This movie was very action packed with some of the best computer graphics I have ever seen. The plot was a little wierd in the sense that it dosn't follow the book at all and all of the fighting is done on foot. There were great special effects but they should have had tanks or artilery or something. Why waste the men if you can mow over the aliens with tanks. Overall a great well acted movie

Summary: Mobile infintry rocks!!!
Review: This movie kicks butt. It almost makes me want to go out and join the marines. I love gory movies and next to "Blade" this is the goriest movie I've ever seen. Also I think that Casper VanDino is totally fine.

Summary: Best movie ever? Have you all gone bonkers!
Review: This sci-fi (I use that term because this truly is garbage.) B movie is fun to laugh at, but it is a horrible movie in its own right. Bad actors, nordic looking Argentinians, goofy plot, annoying characters, sophomoric humor, moronic..... well it just goes on like that. I could see saying it is a fun brainless movie, but not that it is great.

Summary: Good effects, weak plot, violence galore
Review: The special effects are really, really good: those big bugs seem to be truly there. The plot is almost preposterous: finishing off those bugs in their home planet would have been a piece of cake, even with current technology (assuming one could actually get to that planet.) I thought the explicit violence was sickening in several instances, but the fascist subplot was absolutely the worst thing: Verhoeven always manages to make something sordid and sinister of his plots (recall Robocop, Basic Instinct, or the ghastly Showgirls.) I was appalled to see in the theater families with young children. Talk about desensitizing children.

Summary: A great ride!
Review: This movie was a real eye opener for me, for I am at the age where enlisting has become an potion. I'm also a die hard sci-fi fan. This movie was beautiful. I enjoyed the start, with Johnny, Carl, and Carmen all making their own descions about their future in the military. Their innocence is forfeit when war starts out though. I thought that Dizzy was a good character as well. Rachzak was the best, a die hard soldier to the core. The battles were fantastic, the plot great. I think that the most aluring thing about this movie was the truth it held. There were real descions made, descions that kids like myself are going to have to make soon. I liked the politics of Starship Troopers, with the whole failure of democracy and veterans restoring order bit. Before seeing the movie, I read the book, which was a huge dissapointment, mainly filled with military protocal and other such crap. Thankfully, the movie blew my mind. A must see!

Summary: Good battle epic!
Review: If you like movies with huge battles and cool aliens then this is your movie. Sure the acting is a little week and the first half hour seems like a bad episode of 90210 but if you stick with it you wont be sorry! You haven't seen battles like this before thousands of 12 foot tall insects charging human soldiers with nuclear weapons. The epic battles extend from the ground warefare up to some of the most awesome spacehip explosions I have ever seen. This movie has some graphic violence and nudity so I wouldn't let your kid see this one. This is one of my all time favorites.

Summary: The Melrose Place's dark face !
Review: Full Metal Jacket in space... it's Starship Troopers ! One more time Verhoeven use he's infinite talent to twist our mind. What just look as a stupid B-movie, become a incredible fun but politic movie. If you analyse it correctly, you'll find two or three degrees of interpretations. It shows how young, rich and beautiful boys and girls could learn fast in combat and loose their illusions... Just like some nineteen years old innocent soldiers during the vietnam war. Too bad that so many people miss that point. Anyway, it's really a cult movie.

Summary: I'm a thirty second bomb!
Review: The book and the movie are both increadably great! For all those people who also read the book, I think they were compleatly different, yet both good. For all those people who hated it, I have two words: Stop whining! You don't have to squeeze every single thing that was slightly boring! I know the movie has many flaws, I even think the "sucking brains" was lame to! but I just look the other way, and don't bother pointing out that that was more than two words, because I am already aware of it.
