Summary: .
Review: Flashy visuals, imaginative or no, can't help this pathetic, silly mess of a film. It is difficult for me to accept that this comes from the same director that gave us The Professional. A bad, bad movie that tries hard to be hip and fun, and fails miserably in both attempts. A thoroughly unacceptable, extended, and stomach-turningly boisterous intrusion by Chris Tucker, in the last 45 minutes or so of the film, further spoils what was already a rotten, convoluted, goofy effort.

Summary: A truly excellent film
Review: Before I saw the Fifth Element I had never watched a film more than once. I loved this film. I'm sure that it is entirely the Hollywood production style that puts it across so well but this film also has a difference.

I don't quite know what it is about the film that I like so much and enjoy enough to watch over and over again but it's brilliant. Terrific film!

Summary: One of the most creative humor sci-fi movies ever seen.
Review: Incredible Originality and Artwork. Watch and listen carefully to every scene. If you blink or speak you'll miss a humorous line. This movie should have had a cult following.

Summary: What a Movie!
Review: When I first saw the trailers for this movie I thought serious Sci-Fi drama/action adventure. WRONG! Instead, The Fifth Element is a comic gem that harkens back to when Sci-Fi was FUN, before the BladeRunner-inspired, drab Sci-Fi that the genre has been plagued by. This movie is a real crowd pleaser too (all of my friends bought the movie after I recommended they watch it). This movie MADE Chris Tucker what he is today (his performance is the best!). Oh, yeah the incredible special effects are cool too..................

Summary: Great, very underrated
Review: This is a great movie in my opinion. The characters and places in the movie are great, and the movie is visually stunning. There are a couple of flaws though, but it's still a very good, and very underappreciated movie.

Summary: A Hoot! Think "comic book" not "science fiction".
Review: The trailers led me to believe this was another pretentious big budget sci-fi bomb. I caught a few minutes of it on cable and was hooked. This is one funny movie! It also ranks very high in the "eye candy" category. If you come looking for DEEP MEANING, you'll be disappointed. If you disengage your brain, your eyes and funny bone will have a blast.

Any fans of early 1980's "Heavy Metal" magazine will immediately pick up on artist Jean "Moebius" Giraud's influence. If you liked this movie's space opera feel, you should seek out his "The Incal" series, collected in three volumes.

I'm 36, and a 49 year old co-worker and I keep busting each other up with quotes from this movie. "Mul-Tee-Pass!!!" Great fun.

Summary: A very good glimpse of the future
Review: The plot was OK, but compared to other futuristic movies and tv shows, a very good idea of life in the future. One time, I saw a tv show that took place in 2013 and there were colonies on the moon and mars, and time-travel! I was so shocked, I could feel the electrical current frying my recliner (pun intended). This was very realistic for the 25th century. No aliens. No time-travel. No crap.

Summary: Great for Big Dumb Audiophile Jocks
Review: Yes, I'm one who bought this DVD for my souped-up A/V system. It's really a beautiful movie from that standpoint. Other than that, it's a silly flick deserving absolutely no praise. Anybody stating this is the "best movie I've ever seen" needs to get out more often.
