Summary: ...Anytime...!
Review: What a great action movie! Like a hybrid cross between Rambo and Alien! Non-stop thrills. Probably Arnie's best movie; the last one he made where he could still cut it as a muscleman. I remember seeing this on the big screen when it first came out and was especially blown away by the amazing sound quality. You really feel like you're there, blowin' stuff up and wastin' bad guys. Truly one of the best action movies around.

Summary: There Should be More Movies of This Caliber
Review: I was throughly impressed with this film. The cast nad their acting, the special effects, and the story were all very memorable. This is a science fiction movie brought to reality, and theterror you feel while you watch it is very real. This is a film that will be added to my list of all-time favorites.

Summary: how could you hate this movie?
Review: Seriously, how could you hate this movie, and still call yourself a man. The ultimate in survival horror movies. The same team that brought us the first die hard movie brings us this masterpiece of a movie. Each soldier in Dutch's squad is a true warrior. And they're up against the ultimate hunter. This is a must see for anyone that wants to be thrilled and chilled. Buy it, watch it, and tell a friend.

Summary: You can't kill what you can't see
Review: I first saw this awesome action movie when in came out on Video,
and it's still great today.
A group of mercinaries is on a secret mission in South America, and during their mission, all hell breaks loose.
Something is out there, in the vast jungles... Killing them one by one, as if it's hunting them.
A great cast heads a movie which never has a dull moment, and keeps you on the edge of your seat as you learn what the characters learn and are kept up to speed.
This isn't a horror movie, but rather sci-fi action which can be said under the same breath as the origional ALIEN movie.

A great, fun movie that has a good sequel. Not a great sequel, but a good one.

Summary: Re: Predator: Special Edition coming but¿
Review: In 2002, the UK and other regions (excluding Region 1: US & Canada) were treated to the 'Predator: Special Edition', a 2 disc box set which featured extra commentaries, footage, interviews etc.

The reason why Predator: Special Edition has not YET been released for Region-1 is that Fox Home Entertainment has released 'Predator' R-1 twice already within the last 3-4 years. March 1999 was the first release, and then August 2001; the latter release having an improvement in picture and sound quality (i.e. anamorphic/DTS enhanced).

Currently (February 2003), Fox has again released another plain old version of 'Predator' R-1 (without extra goodies i.e.), but this time in full screen.

Recently, Peter Staddon - Senior Vice President of marketing at Fox Studios - hinted that the highly anticipated 'Predator: Special Edition' for Region 1 will be released, PERHAPS for summer 2003.

Those who are satisfied with just the movie alone, this R-1 edition is good enough. Highly unlikely there'll be any improvements in terms of picture/audio on this already great anamorphic/DTS enhanced version. And it's for a lower price in comparison to what a special edition would cost.

Summary: A Classic Action Movie
Review: I picked this up the other night out of sheer boredom. Nothing else was on and so I decided to watch Schwarzenegger shoot some stuff up. I'd seen the movie before in the theater years ago and remembered it was entertaining but I had forgotten how good this movie really was! More than just a commando film, the plot to this film is admirable - a commando team (with the Gov. Ventura himself, no less) is dropped into the jungle to rescuse some hostages. Along the way, they realize they are being hunted by the ultimate Preditor. This alien advisary is phenominal and truly frightening. Even knowing the ending, I was on the edge of my seat to see how Arnold with win against such odds.

In a day when action films are only ho-hum and the world is without a true action hero to root for (Vin Diesal is NOT Arnold in his prime), this movie is a refreshing reminder of what a great action movie should be.

Summary: Shame...
Review: Although I live in Sweden I usually buy reg 1 DVD's. The reason to that is because of all the extra stuff that are included... But not in this case.

I you are a true fan of Predator I really recommend the UK reg 2 version of this movie! Check it out yourself to see what I mean.

Oh, this is a really great movie btw.

Summary: An Action Movie you Don't get tired Of
Review: Arnold was a burgeoning action star in the 80's, and the vicious, relentless "Predator" is one of his best. The film has a dual plot: Arnold is called to a central american country with his cohorts to recapture what they think is kidnapped dignitary, and also face off with a predatory (go figure) alein out for a little hunting. They soon find themselves out gunned and out witted by the alein who can make itself invisible and also packs a laser gun that can blast a hole a diameter of a foot in your chest. The climax is Arnold finds himself pitted against the unmasked alein, no longer invisible but terrifyingly strong.

The special and visual effects still look stunning today. From the infared eyesight of the alein to his invisibility technology, it stills looks like computers today pulled off the shots. Then lets not forget the action sequences, tightly directed by John Mctierien of "Die Hard" fame. They're bloody but still some of the best I have ever seen. Arnold and the gang are very much in their comfort zones with Mctierien behind the camera. And to offset the blood and guts, there is some comic relief, mostly provided by Jesse Ventura. I still get a kick out of the helicopter scene when they first go in to the jungle.

All in all, this an action movie that has been able to survive the 80's with credibility, primarily because of the director. The predator itself is a sight to behold, ugly as hell but still able to become a fixture of popular cultire, especially around Halloween. If your in the mood for specatular action, stunning visuals and one hell of a villian, "Predator" should still near the top of your list.

Summary: WHERES THE 5 STAR TREATMENT FOR THIS 80'S CLASSIC?
