Rating: Summary: One Last Ride with the Bebop crew Review: It's good to see old friends again. Hello Spike, Jet, Faye, Ed and Ein. I've missed you. Seeing this movie is a bittersweet experience, for you know that once it's over, it's unlikely we'll ever see the Bebop crew in a new adventure. The storyline isn't as exciting as some of the better episodes of the series, but it's still fun; the animation is fluid, especially in the fight scenes and aerial combat sequences; the villian in interesting, Elektra is a great character and the movie is an overall enjoyable experience. At the end the audience broke out in spontaneous applause. I guess they appreciated seeing old friends one last time too.
Rating: Summary: This is one of the best anime movie I have ever seen!! Review: I already have the Japanese version of this movie and I can only have one thing to say about this movie: Wow!!! When I saw this movie I couldn't believe how good this was. If you love the Cowboy Bebop series, you'll definetly love the movie, and this move takes place before the Bebop crew splits up, so you gotta watch it.
Rating: Summary: I LOVE COWBOY BEBOP Review: Ok, I haven't seen this movie, before but I love Cowboy Bebop the series and it was just so good. There are different voice actors than the show, but I guess I'll have to get used to that. Cowboy Bebop is a really cool anime, but unfortunatley it was rated R. I think it should have been rated PG-13.
Rating: Summary: Cowboy Bebop - The Movie Review: This is one of the best movies ive ever seen. The series is one of the greatest things ive ever seen also, but this tops it.
Rating: Summary: Very Disapointing Review: In my opinion this movie completely lost the spirit of the original series. The TV show was all about cool music, exciting action, and interesting stories. The show also had a great feeling of fun. Unfortunatly, this movie forgot to include these great aspects of the original series. I found the movie to be boring and depressing, with very little music or humor.I saw this movie in the theater on opening night with hundreds of other Bebop fans. Everybody was loud and excited about seeing the movie, but once the movie started the crowd was dead silent. It was not out of respect of the movie, though. It was because we were all so bored. I left about 20 minutes from the end... very disapointed.
Rating: Summary: You either love it or you hate it... and I love it. Review: I was lucky enough to live in a place where this movie got a nice wide release... Even though I had already imported the movie and watched it, I wanted to see how they did with the dubbing. In all honesty, I think this is one of the best dubbing jobs EVER done in any anime series. The movie is great, it plays out just like the series did... and keeping in mind that this plays between sessions... and is truly intended to be just a 2 hour long episode, I think it's great. I've seen a couple of reviews saying that they didn't like this movie... that's fine, but I don't think that should detract from the rating that this movie deserves. I loved this movie, so of course I think it deserves a 5/5. And I hated Akira... but I could still respect it enough to see that there was something really really good there... just not my thing. Even if this isn't for everybody, that doesn't mean that it isn't good. And it IS good. It is very very good. If you're not a fan of cowboy bebop, you probably won't like the movie... but if you are a fan, I don't see how you could NOT like it.
Rating: Summary: s'pretty cool... Review: as a fan of anime in general I gotta say this was a pretty cool film. There's action, drama and comedy and to anyone who hasn't seen "cowboy bebop the series" this will probably hit them like a train from out of nowhere with it's coolness. Like watching "pulp fiction in space" or something. That's all well and good for the uniniciated but as a long time fan of cowboy bebop I was a tad disapointed with parts of this flic. Just a tad. The action is extremely cool, and the soundtrack is to die for but still... perhaps this just feels too much like a two-part episode of the show that was stretched out to fit the length of a movie. Don't get me wrong when this movie is at it's best it is pretty much the coolest thing in the world, it's just that at times... well, it leaves something to be desired. But then the show also had it's ups and downs. And it's a credit to the production cast and crew that this film truly feels like and extension of the show and not a completely seperate thing. Which leaves me with just two things left to say: Well done, and when's the next one?
Rating: Summary: Cowboy Bebop fans are the only winners here. Review: Cowboy Bebop is my favorite anime series. When I finally saw this movie, I was pretty satisfied, but there are many weaknesses seen here. The basic plot: Faye, one of the bounty hunters of the CB crew, sees a mysterious man blow up a truck in a freeway, killing hundreds. Soon afterwards, the same man has a bounty on his head for hundreds of millions of woolongs, the CB world's currency. The crew, of course, gives chase. The plot is no thinner or thicker than your average Hollywood action movie, except this time it's animated- beautifully. The action scenes are absolutely terrific, the highlight being the fight between Spike (Our main character) and Elecktra, a woman he meets on the way. This is the definition of a modern anime title, and it looks great. CB is known for it's classic soundtrack, and in this movie it is no expection. So why only 3 stars? Cowboy Bebop: The Movie, even for me, can get downright boring. Much of the movie is concentrated on Spike getting information from a single character, no matter who it is. The rest of the crew is seemingly put off to the side, and you'll see that they play very small roles compared to Spike. The conversations can go on and on, and once you think he'll get into action, Spike goes and talk to someone else. The dialogue will have viewers squirmming in their seats. And this is a two hour film. If you are a fan of CB however, go out and see it. Fans will love it because the crew is thrusted into it's own motion picture, and fans will love seeing their favorite characters on screen. I loved the action scenes, but I can only give it 3 stars, even for a huge fan like myself. If you haven't seen the series, go out and buy it immediately. You'll see why this is one of the most popular animes of all time, and the movie is not nearly as good as the series.
Rating: Summary: Awsomness Immeasurable! Review: Before I begin this review I must say how perfect Shinichiro Watanabe and all the folks at Studio Bones for all there hard work. I would also like to thank whoever brought this fine movie to the states to be more appreciated. This movie like many Anime movies has no real importance to the storyline of Cowboy Bebop so you can pretty much watch this without spoiling the bebop plot. This movie was very well made and the fights scenes (particullarily between Spike and Vincent and Spike and Electra) are very good, perhaps as good as The Matrix or Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. All in all the movie kicks but. "It's just... a dream."
Rating: Summary: Watch this movie Review: If you have never in your life seen the Cowboy Bebop Series, Knockin' On Heaven's Door will be a great way to get to know the characters. The music in the movie is amazing, and the storyline is even better than any episodes in the series, because it runs like an extra long, very intense episode. If you're already a Bebop fan, you will definitely appreciate this movie, but make sure you watch it with good sound, because the music is what really drives the feeling here.
