Summary: A complete Star Wars collection?... I JUST CAN'T DO IT!!!
Review: I'm sitting here reading these reading these Amazon reviews (which makes me some sort of a dork already!) and this is what I see;

On one side: The viewers who wished the new "trilogy" could live up to the first one and are understandably disapointed.
The other side: Basement dwelling, lightsaber wielding Star Wars geeks who worship Lucas as their Messiah.

It's pretty clear where I stand. The one point I think most agree on is that Jarr Jarr "Stinks" was an unfortuante addition to the Star Wars "family". Given this, how can anyone ignore the one single point that makes this whole series (including the first three) an absolute tragedy;

JARR JARR STARTED THE WAR!!!

That's right. In his limited 5 minutes of "Clone" film time, he managed to fill in for Padme at the senate and, in her stead (and against her judgment) supported the future emperor's building of an army!!!! This is THE PIVOTAL MOMENT in Star Wars History!! It was key to the creation of the Empire. And His majesty, George Lucas, in his infinite wisdom, sends Jarr Jarr Binks to the Senate.

THAT'S JUST STUPID!!!!

I guess it really is a moot point since the story telling is so bad anyway.

Lucas came up with a very detailed "history" for everything that happened in the first 3 films. He wanted to validate this universe he had created. Unfortunately, he got so lost in the details that he forgot to tell an interesting story or make an enjoyable film.

I did enjoy seeing a real Jedi army fight (and lose rather badly). Many of the visuals are stunning. That does not change the fact that this film is nothing more than a bunch of events (interesting and otherwise) put together to wrap up the history of the first series. How many of you would sit through 3 hours of a film about the history of the United States? I don't care anymore about who Thomas Jefferson caroused with as I do how Darth Vader concieved Luke and Lea! American History is actually more compelling stuff.

Since renting this DVD and viewing it, I've had to seriously concider if I ever wanted to own the entire Star Wars saga. I'm leaning away from that right now. I did'nt even care what the extras were because the film was so disappointing. Maybe someday when it is on sale, I mean REALLY ON SALE, I'll consider buying this stinker.

Summary: "I dont like sand.....it's gritty and gets into everything..
Review: YIKES! Heres hoping George Lucas reads these reviews before getting too heavily into the third installment of this really rough to take series!! PHANTOM was actually pretty cool and set up a whole bunch of neat situations and plot points. BUT THIS!...
THIS turkey is so unbelievably bad!!! HOW BAD IS IT??? Well, Larry Flint could direct a better romance story then the Padme/Anakin fling and the Shaw Brothers could direct better, more believable fight scenes!~~!! AND THE HORRIBLE ACTING!!! ARGH!!!! "I'm not afraid to die, I've died a little every day since you came back into my life" says Padme to Anakin in a voice so unconvinving you would swear this was the rehersal rather then the take~!! SIGH!! There, I'm glad I got it out of my system. Forget this flick, rent an old Captain Kirk movie or something. Sorry Lucas but "LORD OF THE RINGS" is the new fantasy sensation for in the first half of the 21st Century.

Summary: A sinking ship
Review: The Star Wars movies are a fast sinking ship. This one had horrible acting and was really boring, I fell asleep countless times. I think the toy companies have been pushing these movies just so the can make money off colletors and fans. The bottom line is Star Wars in a long dead franchise.

Summary: great movie
Review: personally I thought that this movie was even better than the origional trilogy. Maybe it's because I saw this one before the origional ones.

Summary: THE FORCE IS STILL WITH US...
Review: I found this to be my personal favorite of the entire STAR WARS saga for several reasons. First, it brings fans what they've been waiting for:Yoda fighting, what Boba Fett looks like under the mask, the Clone War, tons o' Jedi action, Anakin's dark side manifesting, and him and Padme falling in love. Lucas has created a tragic love tale meshed with a action-packed adventure that preludes to galactic war. The result is a truly amazing film that shows what STAR WARS is really all about. The acting is first rate, especially Christopher Lee as the villainous Count Dooku (Darth Tyrannus). Hayden is great as Anakin, because he really makes you feel sorry for him. I mean, he could be having this great life that will never be, since he becomes Vader. Anyone who has seen the old films must see this one. It is much more fun than its predecessor!

Summary: Luke Skywalker is better
Review: Star Wars: Attack of the Clones is an awesome movie. For a while, I watched it over and over again. Everyone likes Star Wars movies but I would have to say that I like the Phantom Menace better. I know it's a big part in the saga, but I don't really like the whole "love story" between Anakin and Padme. I'd rather watch some lightsaber duels than see Anakin express his feelings to Padme. The other bad thing about this movie is the lightsaber duel in the end. I admit, watching Yoda with a lightsaber for the first time is pretty awesome. But, they're battling so fast you can barely see what's happening. All in all, this is a great movie(with Anakin killing a whole tribe of Tusken Raiders).

Summary: Ten negatives and three pluses.
Review: Ten negatives
1. Natalie Portman. As bad as Carrie Fischer was, she's Marlon Brando compared to Portman.
2. The guy in the bar with antennas on his head. This is cliche beyond belief. Where's the creativity?!
3. Not sure how they did it, but they made the speeder chase in the city boring.
4. The 1950's diner.
5. R2-D2 can fly. So let's see, he can roll, walk, go up stairs, swim, fly -- what's next, will he ride a horse?
6. C3PO loses his head and the resulting stupidity. This had nothing to do with the plot -- at all -- and was only an embarrassing distraction to the pretty good Jedi/robot battle.
7. Kenobi gets hit in the shoulder a little bit with a light saber and then can't stand up. What a brittle wimp!
8. Would YOU invite C-3PO and R2-D2 to your wedding as the only guests?
9. Tatooine and the planet the Jedi/robot battle takes place on look almost the same. It's so confusing. You can't tell half the time which planet they are on.
10. The whole film lacks creativity --from the scenery, creatures, spaceships and robots to the plot, characters and action. See the Empire Strikes Back for contrast.

Three pluses
1. John William's love song. A truly beautiful piece of music.
2. Yoda. The best actor in the film. Yikes!
3. Count Dooku's voice.

Summary: Finally
Review: Well this is the movie that Episode 1 should have been. After all the dissapointment with the first one finally something we fans can really enjoy. Even though the story lacks some depth and stuff. But the original ones did also. And Yoda fighting is just unbelieveble

Summary: Unworthy Attack...of the Clones...
Review: I agree with the other reviewer in that I feel that anyone that had the audacity to bash this movie so blatantly would never take a drive up to Lucas Ranch to express their "qualified" opinions. I'd like to see any one of these bashers sit and create such a powerful saga on film. As a writer and filmmaker, I know all that goes into producing a film of such maginitude and I have to say that Attack of the Clones is, of yet, my favorite of the first trilogy. I thought the pacing of the scenes were timed well, I was never bored, and I loved seeing more of the Jedi environment. As for the bashing of the actors, it is obvious that Lucas wanted to show Anakin as an immature, emotional student and Hayden did a good job displaying Anakin's awkward youth. Any fan of sci-fi/fantasy, whether film or books, have always encountered characters that are smooth and not so smooth. Darth Vader, smooth. Anakin, at this stage in his life, is written, by Lucas, as out of control. No, it wasn't an Oscar performance and that's not why I went to see the movie. Lucas delivered again and I dare any one of you naysayers to top what he has accomplished. How can anyone bash this film?!! The final scenes with the Jedi fighting, at war, were awesome! I'll be the first in line for the next episode. And you naysayers can stay at home and leave seats for those of us who appreciate true Lucas genius. May the force be with you.

Summary: I wanted to like it...but no go...
Review: I have read the negative reivews here, but I NEEDED to write one... especially after seeing both LOTR's

But somewhere along the road George Lucas LOST HEART... this movie just felt robotic, poorly acted all around, poorly written... just not a real effort to me... I was actually amazed by the beauty of some of the scenes... specially effects wise.... but really this movie is just a multi-million dollar experiment by Lucas in his and Industrial Light and Sound's technical skills... and really in this day and age is that really something to rest on?

I dont expect much from the third movie which will probly come out in 5 years.... and i'll probly watch... but Lucas should NOT have even started a half-butt job in the first place....

the force is DEAD... for me the TRUE star wars saga ended with JEDI... with a whimper yes but thats that....... long live Lord of the Rings!!!!!! this is the movie Lucas wishes he could write...
