Summary: Depp is fabulous!
Review: Johnny Depp is marvelous as they fey and wily Captain Jack Sparrow. Orlando Bloom's character's imitation of Sparrow's effeminate hand gestures is hilarious. This movie takes you on a fun adventure reminiscent of Disney's older movies like Swiss Family Robinson.

I'm not a big fan of fight scenes and did think they dragged on a bit too long. For this reason, I would have rated this 4 stars, but because of Depp's brilliant performance, I'm giving it 5 stars.

Summary: Very good movie
Review: Good fun, light hearted and enjoyable. Not easy to get tired of.

The only bad part is the deleted scenes. They aren't really "scenes", more like 10 second bits of scenes that were edited out for obvious reasons. It seems that the just wanted to be able to say they have 10 hours worth of extras and they just picked up all the crap on the editing room floor and called it an extras.

I won't nock off a star for it since I am really just rating the movie.

Review: This is a movie the whole family can watch! Great action/adventure film. Depp is, as always, wonderful!

Summary: Best
Review: This is by far the best movie I've ever watched in my entire life.

Johnny Deep plays the amusing Jack Sparrow, who is the main highlight of the movie. He's hilarious, he's odd, and you can never tell whose side he's really on until near the end.

Kiera Knightly does well in the role of Elizabeth Swann, the governer's daughter and in the beginning, the holder of a cursed medallion that a group of pirates that can never be killed desire very much. She plays the modern girl stuck in old times, as well as the damsal in distress.

Orlando Bloom acts as Will Turner, Elizabeth's admirer. (There's one in every story) Will goes on this adventure to save his beloved Elizabeth, only to relieze that to break the curse set upon them, the evil pirates of the Black Pearl require his blood.

Summary: Funnier than you
Review: This movie was funnier than I thought it would be - also that english broad who plays the main girl in the movie is smokin' hot. I saw another movie with her in it where she plays a heroin junkie. That was sweet too. It made me want to start dating a heroin junkie so I could have a hot skinny girlfriend. This movie made me want to be a pirate so I could have a hot skinny girlfriend. Touche Mr. Depp.

Review: It is my new favorite movie!!! I think it brainwashed me because that is all I ever think about ever since I saw it the first time. I LOVED it So much I watched twice in a row. If your kids aren't allowed to watch PG13 movies I think u should make an acception just for this movie. It's not scary at all and remember, It's by Disney!!!!!!!!

p.s. The ride was great at Disney World, in Magic Kingdom

Summary: Excellent movie for all to watch!
Review: Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl was an excellent movie that almost anyone can enjoy. This movie is based on a fictional story about a governor's daughter and a blacksmith who end up with Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) chasing after his beloved pirates ship the Black Pearl. You find out fairly soon that this ship they are chasing after is no ordinary ship, but a ship crewed by a cursed set of pirates that are immortal. This may seem like a boring plot but it is far from dull. The movie is almost believable despite the invincible crew of Captain Barbossa. The movie provides a unique storyline that is added to by the outstanding performance of Depp. Jack Sparrow plays a dirty character that you can't help but favor throughout the entire movie. The animation and sound effects add to an already good movie. Don't worry though, this story does have its twists and turns and you will be surprised by the end. Although not violent, it manages to keep an action theme with some quick witted comedy thrown in that will make you smile. This movie is an outstanding piece and can be viewed by all levels of audiences who like a good action movie.

Summary: Disney and Bruckheimer combine to make pirate movie, money.
Review: The opening act of the movie was very brutal as pirates invade an English colony, shooting and stabbing all the way. At this point the film still has a very serious violent edge that gave me hope that I was in for a gritty pirate tale. Johnny Depp is still the mysterious rogue reminiscent of Harrison Ford in Star Wars, but gayer. Orlando Bloom is the perfect goody two shoes character, like Luke is Star Wars, the perfect foil to Depp's rogue until they eventually bond. But they never bond. Instead the rest of the movie is spent with them chasing pirates, getting chased, chasing again, and all taking turns being held prisoner by the various faction of the film. Instead of tension rising towards a climax, the characters become involved in an epic game of keep away .

If that all isn't too much the film is at least an hour too long at two hours and fifteen minutes. All of the characters eventually turn out to be selfish jerks and the only one you care about is Depp because he knows how to smile as though he is suffering along with you. On the lighter side, the costumes are pretty nice.

To sum up the plot of the film without ruining it, imagine Star Wars. Luke and Han go to the death star to rescue Leia, but Han gets left behind and takes her place in the jail, they go back for Han and Luke gets taken prisoner. Han and Leia crash the Millenium Falcon, Darth Vader slips on a banana peel and dies, the Death Star picks up Han and Leia, being nice enough to offer Han a mid-management position. Luke and Leia wear fluffy uncomfortable clothes and kiss in front of sunsets, never knowing they are siblings. Nothing blows up. The Death Star flies off into the sunset. The End.

Summary: 2003's Best and Most memorable Movie, hands down!
Review: I'll keep it short, if you love pirates, high seas adventures, explosive action, epic soundtrack, unlimited "re-watch" value, and the most memorable storyline to come in a long time, then this movie is for you and a must buy!

On a side note, in my opinion, Johnny Depp displayed the best and most UNIQUE performance in 2003, and i personally think he's the one that should've won the oscars(which is considered one of the worst oscars ever).
