Summary: Johnny Depp did not disappoint, the ending did...
Review: The best part about the movie is the great acting job that Johnny Depp delivers. The worst, by far, is predictable and lame ending that an 11 year old could have seen coming! Average movie that was salvaged by great acting from one of the best actors in Hollywood.

Summary: horrible, a waste of time.
Review: This movie made me want to rip out my hair and scream bloody murder. Johnny Depp has not depth as an actor. He has no talent. The script in this movie was so horrendous, were it not for the "oh so talented and handsome" Depp, there would not be so many fanchildren.
Honestly, take your money and purchase a much better DVD.

Summary: One of the Best Movies EVER
Review: I first saw this movie in theaters and fell in love right away. The story is great plus the acting is exceptional. I got the DVD for Christmas and have watched it at LEAST 2 times a day since. It is great for the whole family because it is exciting enough for adults and teens, but the story is easy to fallow so it is great for younger children too. Dont be fooled by the PG-13 rating, this is just because of some "ghost" parts, but it was fine for my 6-year old cousin. There is no really bloody parts or bad language or other bad content.

Summary: Great Movie
Review: I feel Pirates of the Carribean is one of the best movies I have ever seen and it is definitely worth renting. I would also suggest buying this movie; however, I do know a few (very few) people who did not like this movie so it is safer to rent it then buy it later.
I think that the actors and actresses were great in this movie. The main characters were very good but alone the movie wouldn't have been worth it without the small part actors and actresses who are also very very good and deserve being mentioned. The special effects and quality of picture are also fantastic and really make you feel like you are there.

Summary: A Depp winner
Review: Johnny Depp gives an outstanding performance that makes this movie a real winner and a lot of fun for both kids and adults! A+

Summary: Great actors, great scenery, ho-hum script
Review: I skipped the movie in theaters because my expectations were low. Then after hearing so many rave reviews, I bought the DVD with considerably higher expectations, and wound up disappointed. If only I'd seen it when I was expecting crap!

Everybody is right about Depp and Rush (they're fabulous) and about Bloom and Knightley (they're watchable). I can even accept the sloppy history and geography (ah ... the high cliffs of Port Royal). But the script crackles like gruel, and the lapses in plot are wide enough for a ship-of-the line with room for a frigate to spare. The whole thing fell apart for me when a twist near the end asked me to forget everything I'd seen for the last hour and a half.

Is it fun? Yes. Is it pretty? Yes. Is it worth seeing? Absolutely. But before you shell out twenty bucks for the DVD, rent it to make sure it's a keeper.

Summary: Best DVD EVER!!!!!!!
Review: Pirates of the Carribbean is the ultimate movie. It's the best!!
Johnny Depp solidifies this movie and without him, this movie would be nothing (i'm still giving much credit towards supporting actors). Very suspenseful and fun.
CHECK IT OUT!!!!

Summary: Awesome Movie
Review: Johnny Depp MADE this movie! His acting is amazing and the storyline is awesome. It is his best film yet!

Summary: Pirates Of The Caribbean: The Curse Of The Black Pearl
Review: What a movie! This has the be the best film of 2003. Forget about any new 2003 war movie. Forget about Mystique River (basically because Kevin Bacon is in that and I loathe him with a passion). This movie is one movie that make you call it an unforgettable film.

Johnny Depp is in the role of CAPTAIN JACK SPARROW. This role was made only for Johnny Depp. I always thought Johnny Depp was one of the best actors, but none of his previous roles compare to his role in this one. He was amazingly outstanding. Not to mention, hystorically funny. He was the whole film. If Johnny is nominated for an OSCAR for BEST ACTOR for this film, he better get it.

Orlando Bloom is in the role of WILLIAM "WILL" TURNER. I never heard of Orlando until this movie. I thought Orlando was amazing in this. He deserves the OSCAR for BEST SUPPORTING ACTOR.

Geoffry Rush is in the role of the EVIL CAPTAIN of THE BLACK PEARL. Although, he wasn't bad in this role, he still wasn't all that great. Other than this film, I practically hate this guy's guts.

I do not know who played the role of ELIZABETH, but this girl is drop dead gorgeous. She's the next Catherine Zeta-Jones. As far as her acting goes, she should be getting the OSCAR for BEST SUPPORTING ACTRESS.

This is a film that EVERYONE SHOULD "NOT" MISS. I don't care about what other people say. This is the movie of 2003. That's not my opinion. That's a fact all the way.

Summary: A Disneyland ride yes, a swashbuckler no, not really.
Review: The special effects in this film are spectacular. The CGI graphics were stunning. The individal actors were quite good. The problem was, to quote Fonzie from Happy Days, is that they are like ketchup and hot fudge. Alone they are great, but put them together and...terrible.
The substance for the story was not really there; the ending just fizzled. If you are looking for a visually stunning film, this is it. If you would rather have a good plot and action, rent Muntiny on the Bounty.
