Summary: Asumably awesome new scenes
Review: The theatrical version of The Return of the King was approx. 3 hours and 40 minutes long. There should be another 1 hour or more of extra scenes. It is logical to guess that there will be a scene which depicts the duel between Gandalf and the Witch-King and the fight between Aragorn and the Mouth of Sauron. Some more possible scenes: Aragorn and Gandalf climb above the Mindollin to get a sapling of the white tree of Gondor, a dialogue scene involving Saruman, Gandalf, and Wormtongue, and perhaps a scene that involves frodo and Sam getting mistakin as Mordor Orcs and they have to march with them until they are able to escape. These are most likely just a few of the new scenes that are sure to be added to the special extended edition. Without a doubt, any person who is somewhat a fan of the Lord of the Rings Trilogy should by this DVD. It is certain to blow you away.

Summary: Best Movie Ever
Review: This movie is the best movie ever, with an enormous fight scene, which surpasses the greatness in any other film. The extended scenes in this movie include more fight sequences and much more detail about the story: plot lines, and background info. I give this movie five stars, but if i could i would give it ten.

Summary: This movie will be worth 5 hours if that long.......
Review: This movie will be worth 5 hours if that long. This is the final part of the trilogy. If you thought the theatrical version was great, you will be blown away by this. I have heard that The scouring of the Shire will not be in the extended because th ey shot in Location and simply did not have the time to do so. I know they are adding Saruman and Wormtongue when at Isengard. Saruman does his little conversation and i think Wormtongue throws the Palantir down and then Pippin hops down to get it. the Pellenor fields is extended, and Arwen is in more of the movie: to my knowledge, Aragorn looks into the Palantir to reveal himself to Sauron at Dunharrow, but instead Sauron gives him a dream of Arwen which we see, but that might be extended. You should defenetly buy this movie in the big pack and watch it all at once. I admit it may take awhile, but it will be worth it because all the things you have questions on will be answered when they are all together. if you already have the FOTR and TTT on extended, then don't buy the big thing. In all, everything you missed from the book will most likely be in the extended besides the Scouring of the Shire. Liv Tyler (arwen) is said to sing a song of Valinor to make the White Tree of the King to make it blossom, and Aragorn and Gandalf might make the journey above the Mindollin to get the sapling of the new tree. I hope this encouraged any of your doubts or questions on the DVD, and I hope it helped. Have a great day!

Summary: Outstanding
Review: This was great in the theatre! Most beautiful movie I've ever seen! The Last Samurai is right behind! (...) Anyhow...this should be bought by every fan! Over an hour of added footage to an already great movie! The trilogy set is a joke...since none of them are extended! They had better release a frikkin huge butt trilogy of the extended versions with a buttload of extra crap and little goodies! I have the first 2 collectors sets...and will get the third...and the extended trilogy! Not only is the extended better...having seen it...explains more...and just makes it more enjoyable!

Summary: Wait For The Extended Version!
Review: You know, I saw "The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King" in theaters twice. I thought it was the best of the trilogy. I've never seen the Special Editions, but when ROTK (SE) comes to DVD, I'm buying them all in one boxed set. I'm waiting for SE's.

"If you could choose between 'The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King' and 'Return of the Jedi' what would you choose?" said a friend.

"Kings beat Jedi any day, dude!" I said.

I hold myself to that opinion.
