Summary: More Sex and less plot, we have a Winner
Review: Species 2 takes place a few years after Species 1. It starts off that man is making there first manned trip to Mars. However once there the crew gets infected with the Alien DNA. Meanwhile on earth scientist have recreated the Alien Hybrid from the first, now dubbed Eve. When the Astronaughts return two die and the Captain escapes to go on a sex spree. This time after he mates the woman has a child which is a half breed alien. Eventually he seeks out Eve so they can get it on and create the perfect Alien. Of course they are stopped but not before getting it on in a Barn.

Once again this is a Sci Fi Horror Erotica movie that is OK, but basically a dull boring series.

Summary: Revenge of the Horny Astronaut
Review: This movie is not that great, I admit it. Why do I like it? No, it's not because of the nudity, the sex, or the gore. It's because I like bad movies if they're entertaining. And this one is entertaining. It's not a decent movie, like say, 'Alien', but it's watchable.

Sil the murderous alien in human form was destroyed in the previous film, so the natural thing for scientists to do is recreate her via cloning to study her, but this time name her Eve. Meanwhile an astronaut is the first person to sucessfully land on Mars, and returns to Earth to great praise, but something's wrong. He doesn't feel himself. He has this urge to mate with women. And more women. And more. No, he has not been infected by a porn star's genes, but by an alien species who wants to repopulate and take over the world. Of course, every time he mates with a woman, she immediately and gruesomely gives birth to an alien baby. Then, things get worse when the infected astronaut finds out about Eve.

It's not that bad for a B sci-fi movie and the first one wasn't that great to begin with. This is watchable, but the first one is better and the third film is an improvement over this one, so unless you're a sci-fi fan, you may want to skip this.

Summary: The Creatures Are Back
Review: Michael Madsen (Press Lennox), Marg Helgenberger (Laura Baker) and Natasha Henstridge (Eve) revive their roles in this sequel to the original film. Justin Lazard joins the cast as Commander Patrick Ross, the first astronaut to land on Mars.

Laura has created Eve, an exact genetic copy of Sil from the first movie, as a means for humans to discover a way to defend themselves against the alien species if they should return. Meanwhile, the astronauts have returned from their mission to Mars. Patrick is welcomed back as a hero, but Patrick is not as he seems. Infected by alien DNA while on Mars, he is slowly becoming a terrifying extra-terrestrial being with an urge to have sex with as many women as possible. Patrick is also dealing with pressures from his father to start a political career in the Senate and a possible Presidential bid.

A scientist studying Patrick's blood accidentally breaks a container containing the infected blood, releasing the alien DNA. Press Lennox is brought in to help Laura with the search. Press and Laura discover that a billion years ago, alien species invaded Mars. They believe that Patrick and his crew were exposed to the alien DNA and brought it back to Earth. After testing, Patrick was determined to be the only astronaut carrying the alien DNA.

After seeing each woman that he's been with die a gruesome death, Patrick decides to kill himself, but after shooting himself, his body re-generates. He then continues his sexual exploits.

The decision is made to use Eve to help find Patrick. By using telepathic powers, Eve is able to see where Patrick is. Patrick can feel Eve reading his mind. Soon, Patrick and Eve meet and, much to Laura's fears, join forces together. If they're allowed to mate, they could produce a purer, invincible race that could spell doom for mankind. The final fight between the aliens and Laura's new virus spray proves that only the strongest species survive.

I thought that this movie was at least as good and maybe better than the original film. The special effects are very good, and the acting is good, too. I especially enjoyed the Mars scenes at the beginning of the movie, and the battle between "alien" Patrick and "alien" Eve at the end was exciting to see. Usually, sequels aren't as good as the original movie, but Species II definitely compares favorably to the first movie. Sci-fi fans should enjoy this movie, especially if you liked the first one.

Summary: More of Henstridge, how can you not want that?
Review: SPECIES II is not for those with weak stomachs. There is a lot of blood, gore, and that awful sniveling tongue! As far as sequels go, though, it's not that bad. Michael Madsen, Natasha Henstridge and Marg Helgenberger (pre CSI Days) return in their original roles, abetted by James Cromwell as an insensitive senator and father, and Justin Lazard as the doomed astronaut. For comic relief, we get Mykelti Williamson as the obligatory African/American sidekick. There were several scenes that had me gasp or jump, and some that were a little nauseating. Overall, it's special effects were pretty good and the movie had a tense and foreboding atmosphere. Not a great film, but not bad either!

Summary: As bad Alien III and IV....with tons of gore.
Review: Well, what can one say about this picture? It has tons of gore and it will began with 1979's ALIEN, but here like Alien 3 and IV, and Predator I and II, there is no story, there is just a lot of violence, tons of gore, so many scenes that look like they were filmed at a porn studio, and the only possitive thing that one can say about it, is that it did so poorly at the box office that MGM decited not do anymore. Thank You.
