Rating: Summary: Review Review: A great score by Mark McKenzie who is not really well known as a composer but more of a orchestrator. The opening cue "The Battle Has Just Begun" is one of the many highlights of the score. With a orchestra and chorus together. The performace by the chorus is great but they are not too loud. They are chanting latin. When the Warlock appears that is when the chorus begins. Mostly with women choral. The other theme "Ken's Magic" is a good heroic piece of music. Although the sound is not up-to-date and the running time is around 40minutes it is a average buy. It will appeal to some.
Rating: Summary: WHAT'S THIS ? Review: I had reservations on ordering this title from AMAZON for my dad (who's a horror film buff) but decided to push through with it anyway (thinking what the heck, it's his money, not mine!). Just finished watching it and, needless to say, I'm really, really thankful I decided NOT to buy this title for my own! There is absolutely nothing original or even remotely witty about this movie (not to mention scary!). They should have stopped with the first installment, or at least they should have packaged this together with the first one (maybe as a double feature?) or added some bonus features like a "making of" featurette and commentaries. I'm a die-hard horror movie buff myself and I even watch cheesy b-flicks every now and then, but I found myself scanning forward with this disc just to see the ending at last. My suggestion is not to buy this disc but if you really have to get it then wait till/if the price drops drastically or better yet get a much better film (story-wise/wit-wise/scare-wise) like Wishmaster (which, incidentally, comes with Wishmaster 2 I believe!).
Rating: Summary: Druidism and Satanism? Review: I have to say, that I am really into Horror-Films, also if they have a satanic touch; but when I saw, that this film is a mixing of old pagan-rites with satanic rites I came into rage. For myself Wicca and celtic Rites of Paganism are wonderful Ways and I learned, that Pagans do not believe in Satan! So, this story is one of the worst, I've ever seen! If the producer would describe kabbala-rites, which would be more suitable than pagan-rites, this film would be a little bit more interesting...But sorry, Paganism and Satanism... nothing has to do with each other... Blessed be
Rating: Summary: very good sequel to a to an excellent film. Review: I LOVED THE MOVIE WARLOCK.SO I BOUGHT WARLOCK THE ARMAGGEDON WITHOUT EVEN SEEING THE MOVIE.SO I WAS KINDA WONDERING IT WAS A BAD MOVIE AND IF I HAD WASTED MY MONEY.SO AFTER I HAD WATCHED IT I KNEW I HAD NOT WASTED MY MONEY.I THOUGHT IT HAD AN ORIGINAL STORY TO IT.AND I LIKED IT ALOUGHT AND I THOUGHT JULIAN SANDS WAS CREEPY AS THE WARLOCK.AND HE DID A VERY GOOD JOB AS THE WARLOCK.BUT WHAT I DID NOT LIKE WAS ALL OF THE GORE,BUT I RECOMMEND BUYING IT OR RENTING IT.
Rating: Summary: Wacky Magic Fun Review: I really enjoyed this movie. It's goofy and the Druids vs. the Warlock history is a bit silly but overall quite enjoyable. It has better pacing than the first film and seems less disjointed even though the Warlock's search fro the runestones is told in a series of little vignette's. Some of the "druid training" scenes are quite beautiful with very creative direction to attain subtle effects which nicely contrast the Warlock's macabre magic.
As I said before the story is a little silly but I liked it better than the witch-hunter sent through time story of the first film and the forgettable kids in a haunted house approach of the third.
Rating: Summary: If you love Julian Sands this is a great movie. Review: If you love Julian Sands this is a great movie. He looks wonderful in this film. It also has lots of action and a good story line.
Rating: Summary: One mean son of a witch! Review: One brilliant horror film (and one of my mums faves). Julian Sands makes a brilliant baddie. The story was good even a bit HELLRAISER'ISH. The ending was good but I liked his resurrection more. Classy.
Rating: Summary: One of the many sequels failing to live up to the original Review: Sands reprisal of his role as the Warlock is the only thing that gives this film 2 stars. Sadistic as ever, and with shorter hair, if you like seeing women getting all their hair ripped off then you should watch it.
Rating: Summary: BAAAAAAAAAAD MOVIE! Review: The only excuse I had for sitting through this awful sequel to the Warlock was Julian Sands. Whereas, I will recommend to my friends that we watch my Warlock movie, Warlock: The Armageddon I intend to hide somewhere at the bottom of my DVD collection; I consider it an embarrassment to own. By the end of the movie the only real question I had was why did Julian Sands agree to appear in this film?
Rating: Summary: If Evils Looks Like This, Then I Need to Change Sides Review: The Warlock, played by Julian Sands is calm, cool and funny. He makes you laugh at the right times. He also looks very good in black. The idea behind The Warlock was unique. Well acted, well filmed.
