Summary: Poor Story
Review: TV does not do science fiction justice, and this time travel story by King is just as bad, if not worse then the show Quantum Leap.

Summary: One Of King's Finest
Review: This movie is a great showcase to the book. I am into all that old philosophy stuff and there used to be a myth of creatures that would create the world the instant before you looked at it and then destroy it the moment you looked away. I believe this is where king got the idea and I believe that anyone with an open mind and who just wants to be entertained to something different would love this movie.

Summary: Excellent!
Review: This movie is a little scary if you have never read the book before because you don't know what exactly the langoliers are! But you will find out at the end! You should buy this movie because the plot of it really sticks through and doesn't leave holes in it!

Summary: what happened?
Review: now, maybe this review for the movie is bad just because i haven't read the novel, but after seeing most of the movie, i can safely say that i'm glad i haven't seen the whole movie because if i did, i would have to open my skull and take out the parts of my brain that remember it. before i begin, let me say that usually i think lightly of poor movies, simply because i have never been in a movie, but this one makes me want to hurt people. from the cast of characters that just seem out of place, to the horrible acting (you should hear this girl scream in "terror" when she sees a langolier thingy, and wasn't that businessman that goes insane on perfect strangers? it doesn't seem right to see balky go insane...)this movie just isn't right. the feeling of a scary movie is also poorly conveyed since there is almost nothing scary about the movie except for the horrid visuals that look like something out of reboot. the only really redeeming quality about this movie is that the name steven king is loosely, if at all, attached to it, but that also only goes so far. basically, i don't like this movie. and i rather stumble blindly through the forest only to wander into a trap that clamps poisioned barbwire around my leg while it slowly starts to electrocute me until it starts to burn while at the same time launching and iron railroad spike a half inch up my body every half hour all while gouging my eyes out with a dull rusty spoon than watch this movie again..

Summary: Stephen King does it again.
Review: Take that how you wish - If you like the other King movies, maybe this one you'll like too... I was hoping for something more, the cool criters in the other dimension were fun - but I've seen it someplace before I'm sure. It's all very much a copy of a bunch of other movies hashed together - lots of Doctor Who style bits there with that good ol' King touch :p.

I've not read the book, maybe it'll hurt less...

Summary: The Langoliers / Los Langoloides

Summary: If you're into weirdness
Review: I'm not the kind of person who goes for the gory stuff, so this movie was refreshing. It's very intriguing and chilling. An altogether satisfying deviation from my standard viewings. If you're into creepy weirdness or are a fan of King, then this should satisfy.

Summary: The acme of the King
Review: Three hours of absolute panic. Just try to cross the time zone when you are asleep in a plane and then you discover that there is no past except abig washing cleaning crunching machine that destroys the present as soon as it is not the present any more. And that is the very punishment of all bad boys and bad girls that fall behind and get caught up by the past. Good riddance. But to come back from the langoliers' territory you need a little bit more than the cavalry, because they are no Indians and they cannot be genocided. It takes some imagination, some sleep, and some sacrifice. But it is beautiful. And then you discover what a nascent world is because you land in the very few minutes that precede the present, hence in the future. There is no back to no future and the future has no density. If you do not get slightly frightened by this trip it's because you are slightly mentally underdeveloped. Watch them, those langoliers, and please tell me if this rotten world in which some say we live is not beautiful enough to prefer it to a voracious past or to a nascent future. Dr Jacques COULARDEAU, Universities of Paris IX and II.
