Summary: This movie may have saved my marriage
Review: The story in and of itself is cliche, it has great special effects and it really touched my heart. More importantly, it reminded me of the kind of relationship I have with my husband and that I will never find something this special in anyone else. I saw the movie at a time when I was going through a period of doubt. Doubt in myself and in my relationships with others, including my husband. In the end, it was his unconditional love and constant support or me during my struggle that helped me find myself again. He may not have been there had it not been for the powerful impact of several influences on my life, this movie included. I think all soulmate lovers need to see this movie as a reminder of what they have in each other.

Summary: It is a living painting, a visual masterpiece!
Review: The theme of What Dreams May Come is everything except original: one more time there is more after life with a touch of romanticism. All the stereotypes concerning the after life, including those about heaven and hell, are present; and the performances are far from convincing. What really attracts attention in this motion picture are the astonishing visual effects, never seen before: as an impressionist painting, the paradise is an explosion of colors, a painted dream brougth to life by imagination; and the other worlds are completely surrealist. It is a living painting, a visual masterpiece, it is What Dreams May Come!

Summary: super cool
Review: the story is ok, chicks dig it, but if you appreciate computer art and special effects this is your movie. The artists went all out on this one, it mind boggling to think how they could have done what they did with this movie.

Summary: Great And Moving Experience But Bad Ending.
Review: It's saddening to see a great movie with groundbreaking images and vistas and plot, and then see it brought down by a dumb ending. That's what happens with "What Dreams May Come." I still give it four stars considering it's breathtaking from beginning to middle and the story is moving, romantic and adventerous. Robbin Williams gives a powerful and convincing performance. Cuba Gooding Jr. is enlightening. The special effects are astounding, amazingly convincing and thrilling to just look at. There's so much eye candy that you have to see it twice or more than twice to get a good look at everything! But after a thrilling and amazing journey into Heaven and Hell, "What Dreams May Come" ends unsatisfyingly with a dumb and illogical conclusion. Still, this is an intelligent, stunning piece of film that should be cherished for the images it presents and the romantic story it combines with them.

Summary: Intense cinematic experience
Review: This is a great film about a topic that has been examined for ages--true and endless love. Those critics who say this film is bad are most likely indifferent or have a negative view toward the subjects of life after death, lasting love, and artistic storytelling.

Summary: Simly put, the best movie I have ever seen.
Review: This is a fantastic movie. It gives a breathtaking and utopian view of life after death. See this movie with someone you love!

Summary: Astounding tale of the strength of true love
Review: Please do not listen to everyone out there who trashes this film or states it's depressing. Those poor, backwards souls missed what the story was all about. Yes, it's about death, and yes, there's sad, depressing moments, but underneath all that is a tale of a love so strong, it endures even after death. Love so strong it reaches the hearts even from "that undiscovered country from whose borne no traveler returns".

Williams' character's focus is his wife, even after death. He doesn't particularly want to be apart from her, but he keeps thinking of the day when she'll join him. When he finds out she's commited suicide and they'll never be together again, he refuses to be told it can't be done, and braves the horrors of hell to find her. When she doesn't recognize him like they said would happen, he makes the choice to not leave her behind again, to stay in hell with her.

That was how strong the love was. Heaven didn't mean anything if he couldn't be with her. That moment of sacrifice was exactly what was needed to penetrate the darkness, however. This is truly a spectacular movie, and you are depriving yourself if you let yourself be swayed by the critics.

Summary: Goo-topia
Review: I recognize that some people prefer mawkish, poorly written tearjerkers that attempt to make up in appearance what they lack in substance. To these I say, "you will enjoy this movie."

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Beautifully done.
Review: I hired this film after reading the Richard Matheson book . I avoided seeing this in the cinema due to the poor reviews it had . What a mistake ! It is a wonderful, sensitive, colourful masterpiece. Robin Williams again turns in a superb performance, and Annabella Sciorra lights up the screen every time she smiles. There is an old saying about some films "Nobody likes it except the public", so see this film and judge for yourself, ignore the negative reviews.
