Summary: Hilarious movie!
Review: This movie is excellent! It has great special effects and comedy and it has an awesome soundtrack! It also has an all star cast! Bill Murray,Dan Aykroyd,Sigourney Weaver,Rick Moranis,Harold Ramis just to name a few. This movie also has a great mix of comedy and horror. There isn't a to terrible amount of bad language either. The only scene that disagrees with me is when Venkman visits Dana just after she was posessed.I believe that little kids may find that bit a little scary but besides that it is a great movie!

Summary: Classic comedy
Review: This is merely a classic comedy, think about it, Dan Aykryod, Bill Murray, Rick Moranis, Annie Potts, Harold Ramis..can you get any better than that? This movie is not only hilarious but also very goofy. It's just a little goofy comedy. Bill Murray is wonderful as always. Anyone who thinks this is a "kiddie film" should be punished. The cartoon was made AFTER the movie poeple!

Summary: Who you gonna call ?
Review: Ghostbusters could almost be what DVD was designed for: a film jammed with special effects which benefits no end from the crystal clear picture DVD offers, combined with a whole host of fun extras, including deleted scenes and endless amounts of trivia for film buffs. The movie itself is good family entertainment, and has dated less than you might expect. Having said that, whilst I was initially delighted by this disc, and had a great time playing with all the bonus features, I found the film better than when I watched it years ago on VHS. Great for kids also, but really this movie is an all time classic.

Summary: The best movie ever
Review: Ghostbusters, is, quite simply, one of, if not the, best movies ever. Superb acting, great script, story, effects, characters, it's all simply wonderful. I'm not great at reviewing movies, but definately buy this one. As I said, it's simply the best there is.

Summary: Long live the Ghostbusters
Review: This movie is more creative than most movies out there. The story is exciting and the characters are a delightful combination. With wit, charm, and a load of laughs Ghostbusters is one of my favorites.

Summary: A Classic Comedy, Truly a Collector Series DVD
Review: Very good DVD with lots of extras. Let me start by saying the picture quality on this disc is excellent. The sound is good, but not as good as I thought the 5.1 mix would be. I'm sure you know or have heard what the movie is about, so I won't go into it. I will tell you it's a funny comedy that still holds it's own till this day. Aside from liking the movie, what really made me want to purchase this disc was the extras which is enough for any Ghostbuster enthusiast. Compared to other DVD's out there, this is a good title, but if you want to get picky, two minor flaws keep it from being perfect. The audio, and somewhat clunky menu system.

Summary: A Solid Comic Gem
Review: Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis are the ultimate ghost hunters in the entertaining supernatural comedy hit "Ghostbusters". After being fired from the University, three paranormal investigators (Murray, Aykroyd & Ramis) open their own ghost extermination business. When an evil being from a spiritual dimension invades New York, these unlikely heroes become the only ones that could save Manhattan. "Ghostbusters" is a creative mix of witty humor and amusing fantasy. This engrossing 80's comedy features an imaginative and well written story, memorable characters and surprising visual effects. Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis deliver some great comic performances. The cast also includes Rick Moranis, Annie Potts, Ernie Hudson and Sigourney Weaver.

Columbia TriStar has certainly put some effort in developing this Collector Series DVD. The smash-hit comedy is presented in its theatrical 2.35:1 widescreen format. The DVD contains a great video transfer with fine sharpness. The 5.1 Dolby Digital sound is well-balanced and quite clear. The DVD features an amusing commentary with director Ivan Reitman and crew, deleted scenes, trailers, behind-the-scenes featurettes and inventive animated menus. With its clear widescreen presentation and clever supplemental extras, "Ghostbusters" is one of the best Columbia TriStar DVDs and earns a winning "A".

Summary: A DVD review
Review: This DVD is crammed full of extras. I don't have a single DVDwith more extras then this one. Deleted scenes, multiple commentaries, several featurettes and tons of photos. I think the designers of the menu interface went a little nuts though. It's almost like they couldn't decide how to present all the material so made several different versions and threw them all together. Lots of the menus are redundant and make navigating the menus a little frustrating. You think you're going somewhere different and end up in the same place. I like straightforward menus. These menus are works of art in their own right. The best part of the extras in finding out how they did the physical effects (eggs cooking, catalog cards flying etc). Effects that now a days, would probably be done digitally. They still look as fresh today as they did then. I hope the industry doesn't lose the skill to do these kinds of effects in the digital age.
