Summary: What The...?
Review: Hands down, the second DUMBEST movie I have ever seen! Martin Lawrence's warmed over stand-up routine does not warrant the star treatment from whoever it is that is trying to make him a star. This movie has so many things wrong with it that it would be impossible to even scratch the surface in a 30 minute E! special. If you ar one of the simpletons who still think Ebonics sound funny in any type situation, then you have something in common with the two people who actually laughed at the this drivel fest. Please don't rent/buy/borrow this movie -- you'll only encourage Lawrence to make another one.

Summary: Toned down Lawrence but still funny
Review: Maybe I should be surprised at how toned down this movie is from
Martin Lawrence's infamously raunchy style. Anyhow, I enjoyed this movie. Lawrence was hilarious as a 21st century Black man sent back to Medieval England. Tom Wilkinson was likable as a remorseful and drunk knight. I was a little disappointed by the ending but overall, this one's worth checking out.

Summary: O Stars - Absolute Garbage!!!
Review: Black Knight owns the distinction of being the only film that I have ever walked out on and received a refund for. This movie was just plain awful. It was nothing more than an extended play version of the Martin Lawrence television show. However, this film was not funny at all! I don't even know how it ended and I do not care. I left during the dinner scene when Martin leads the band in a Sly and The Family Stone cover. The jokes were juvenile, the direction - deplorable, the story - lame, lame, and more lame. The stereotypical "brotha from the hood in a strange setting" plot has been done to death and it IS NOT FUNNY! Please, whatever you do, DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME ON THIS UNFORGIVABLE PIECE OF JUNK!

Review: this moviewas pretty funny. when i seen the trailors i never even looked or thought twice about seein it. i thought it was goin to be stupid. i went to the show with my baby's moma and this was all they had showin at the time that i havent already seen. so we went to see it. it started off pretty boring, but it picked up steam. sometimes martin tries to hard. its when hes not tryin when hes funny. just like any comedian if u try to hard it will not be funny. it was pretty believable how the story flows. he actually doesnt know he is in midevil times. it would be stupid if he were and he knew it. it wouldnt be unbelievable. anyway this movie was pretty entertaining, and it had a moral. go see it it will make you laugh and entertain you.

Summary: A Waste of Time
Review: When I walked into the theater I wasn't expecting much and I came out feeling the same way. I thought it would be funny, becakuse I remembered Martin Lawrence from "Blue Streak". I was wrong. There was about a total of 6 people in the whole theater.
"Black Knight" is about a guy named Jamal that works in a small amusment park that is about to go out of business. He sees a necklace in the water of a small moat and falls in trying to get it. For whatever reason he is sent back to the middle ages. Jamal finds out that the necklace means that he is part of some rebelion group, trying to overthrow the king and return the queen to her thrown. The castle thinks that he is a messenger from a duke, that is going to marry her daughter.
The humor in this movie was about at the level of a 4th grader. It was nasty middle ages traditions like carving a turkey with your hands and then letting the dog lick them and then serving the rest. The only good part was the end fight sequence. But that didn't make up for the first hour of boredom and stupididy. (Major spoiler) In the end we find out that it was all a dream, he wakes up with doctors over him. Suprise! Suprise! He sees everyone that he saw in his dream. They even bothered to set the movie up for a sequal. At the very end he falls into the same moat and ends up in an ancient Rome with someone saying realese the lions. The crowd in the backround was a badly done green screen from "Gladiator".

Summary: Delightful
Review: This film made me laugh from beginning to end. It's a delight to see Martin's rendition of "A Conneticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court". Twain would be proud. Some may see this is just another movie about a hip, black comedian changing the lives of uptight crackers. It IS that but a whole lot more. The jokes are refreshingly funny and the social commentary is written into the script extremely well. I think I'll have to see it again just to catch all the quick quips Martin Dishes out as well as all the funny things that happen in the background.

Review: ITS NOT SERIOUS NERVE SHATTERING OR MIND BOGGLING IT IS MARTIN LAWRENCE IN ACTION A TRULY FUNNY FUNNY MAN AND IF HE CAN MAKE THIS SCRIPT/MOVIE DECENT HE IS VERY GOOD. DEFINITELY A WORTHWHILE LAUGH.

Summary: What a stupid movie!!
Review: (...) This was seriously the worst movie of the month. But you know what! I loved it. Because it was too stupid to be stupid, too bad to be bad. Martin Lawrence did a terrific job. The plot involves one revolting group fighting against the ruling King who was trying to bond with another Lord by marriage to fight in return. The "brave" and "unconventional" knight from an outerworld, the Black Knight, Martin Lawrence, comes in, helps the revolting people and breaks the marriage. The jokes as you can imagine were all about ancient people dancing hip-hop, and swordsman fighting on battlefield with football skills. Don't see the movie if you are a serious person, it's really just all total BS.

Summary: Who wrote this dribble and why did Martin take the part?
Review: I can't imagine Martin is hard-up for work, but to appear in such a terribly written piece of garbage as this seems to point in that direction. Martin holds his own and is funny while this terrible plot and rotten story unfolds. Don't go if you have anything else to do cause you'll be leaving the theater early to get started doing somthing worth while.
