Rating: Summary: Represent!! Review: Short Circuit 2 is a hollywood triumph. The first one was good, but this is one of the rarities in the world of sequels that is not just as good as the original, it's better! It's got everything that every other sequel should; He comes to New York and starts building miniature models of himself. Helps his friend/creator guy with his love life by controlling an electronic sign. Accidentally helps jewel thieves tunnel into a bank. And is the first hang-gliding robot in movie history. What's not to like? There will never ever be a movie quite like Short Circuit 2. It's funny, dramatic, action-packed (complete with car chase), and of course, heartwarming...
Rating: Summary: Great For Fans of Charming Robots Review: Short Circuit 2 is one of those movies in a class all it's own. The character of Johnny Five has an irresistible charisma that I just love. Sure, other movies feature an out-of-it's element protagonist possessing unusual abilities that both benefit and alienate it, but Short Circuit 2 also has believable characters, good dialogue and delivers an emotional impact. Witnessing Johnny Five's trials and tribulations proves to be an interesting experience.
The biggest complaint I have is the fact you can't take the movie too seriously. There are some impossible actions taken by the robot that will leave you with a "yeah right" feeling. Also, some harsh language is used which I found to be unnecessary. It would've been better to leave it out in order to make the film suitable for all ages.
This is one sequel that's superior to the original.
Rating: Summary: Short Circuit 2 Review: Short Circuit 2 is, without any question, one of the worst sequels ever made. If it were possible for me to rate it zero, I would. The original Short Circuit was charming and funny. Fisher Stevens' malapropisms were hilarious. The sequel is humorless and mindlessly violent. Johnny Five, the robot who is the sympathetic character in the film, is subjected to incredible cruelty. My young daughter cried when she saw it. Forget buying it; don't even watch it. It's a brutalizing and a total waste of your time.
Rating: Summary: "TO THE MOON, ALICE!" Review: The Best sequel of a movie I've ever seen. Johnny 5 goes to New York to help his friend, Ben (Fisher Stevens) build toy robots of himself to make big bucks. Ben is helped by Fred (McKean), who wants to sell Johnny 5, who costs 11 million dollars. Johnny 5 is tricked into helping Oscar, a jewel thief. All in all, this is possibly the greatest sequel there ever was. Great for those who watched the first movie!
Rating: Summary: The often overlooked film of the century Review: This film has everything - laughs, action, romance, beating up bad guys, chase sequences, robots, animals & more one-liners than you could ever want in a lifetime. It follows the adventures of the newly named Johnny 5, an experimental goverment robot who was struck by lightning and became alive (see Short Circuit). In this film he travels to New York to help his creator, Ben, to make it rich. Just when they think they're going to be overnight millionaires the bad guys come into play and try and ruin the fun. This film is the ultimate feel-good movie. It's quite long but you never really want it to end. You'll never again find yourself caring so much about a big pile of metal and wires. Much better than the first film, Short Circuit is a must see for everyone...I'm not joking!!!
Rating: Summary: awesome movie Review: This is a great movie for everybody. It has some very funny parts as well as some parts that will make you cry. One of my favorite movie's
Rating: Summary: Great Movie Review: This is a great movie. It's got everything, action, romance, comedy, suspense. One of those rare movies where the sequel is better then the original.
Rating: Summary: Excellent Sequel! Review: This is even better than the first! I love some of the lines No. 5 said like, "Oh, Human Porcupines!". Ha,Ha,Ha! I also love the parts were No. 5 gets the badguys. When I first saw this when I was 6 or so, I found it very hard to watch the scene were Johnny 5 gets smashed up. It was so dramatic and I still find it difficult to watch. But besides that, "Short Curcuit 2" is a great funny '80s flick to check out! Rent or buy it today!
Rating: Summary: When Johnny comes marching home again Review: This is the sequel to the movie "Short Circuit" and relies heavily on having "Short Circuit" viewed first. In the original an experimental automated warier (complete with laser and Nuke) is stuck by lightning causing a short circuit and making robot number 5 (Johnny) alive. This movie has several other subplots and some slapstick humor. Strapped for cash, Ben Jahrvi, co-creator of Johnny 5, is pushed into the manufacturing business, making little Johnny replicas. This movie contains a love interest (Sandy), and economics. The action comes from when they leave Johnny (you guessed it) home alone. He is bamboozled by petty crooks, and abducted by ruthless people because someone wants the warehouse access. So will Sandy and Ben get past they awkward stage? (Can Johnny help?) Will Johnny Five be recovered? Or will Number five lead his now life of crime?
Rating: Summary: Great! Review: This movie has been my favorite movie for years. In the first movie Number 5 or Johnny 5 was viewed more as a prop than a character. I'm not dissing the first movie!... In Short Circuit 2, Johnny 5 knows he is alive, but he struggles throughout the film trying to prove it to the rest of the world. There are many emotion through out the film. Most of it is just humor!
