Review: Sci-Fi buffs looking for a serious depictment of an alien invasion from Mars will be seriously disappointed by this movie, but EVERYBODY WITH A GOOD SENSE OF HUMOR WILL LOVE IT!!! This is the first film story ever based on a bubble gum card series, and one from the early sixties no less! And it's hilarious! The Martians are pure evil, just as they are in real life! Jack Nicholson is great in his dual role of U.S. President/Las Vegas hotel owner, and the rest of the cast is almost perfect. My favorite scene: when that one Martian dresses up like what Martians consider to be a sex goddess. She's a bizzare mix of creepy and sexy, which I found brilliant on the part of the director.

Review: Once again, Burton has created another masterpiece. It is a definition of Sci-Fi camp! This is NOT a serious movie, but a very entertaining spoof for ALL sci-fi buffs.

Review: Tim Burton proves he is capable of making a spoof movie. But Burton misses the comedic part of the movie.. If you are a fan of any big name star you will find them in this movie either overacting or just in for a quickiee.... Money could be better spent elsewhere!

Review: This movie overstates the terror of the '50's sci-fi thrillers to the point of overkill. Automaton-like Martians devise overly grotesque, inhumane, and at times graphic schemes to terrorize and slaughter their earthly opponents, leaving this viewer asking (as someone else said here) "What's the point?" A very disturbing movie.
