Summary: Hi. I'm Peter Graves.
Review: Pop quiz: Do you have a sense of humor?

If you answered yes to the above question, buy this disc. Right now. Don't even bother finishing my witty and concise review.

Though some MSTies may question Rhino's decision to release "Beginning Of The End" on DVD, I find this episode highly underrated and rank it as one of my favorites. I mean, c'mon! Giant grasshoppers! Big honking tomatoes! Postcard-based special effects! Peter Graves!

And, um, I really can't think of a better selling point than giant grasshoppers. Really, what else were you gonna spend your twenty bucks on?

Summary: Don't Believe the Cover!
Review: This episode features Mike, not Joel! I docked it one star for the misinformation, but it was still pretty funny. Crow's play "Peter Graves goes to the University of Minnesota" is hilarious. Still, I miss the Joel days -- he had a laconic quality that suited the show -- Mike just never seemed to find the right note.

Summary: Still Laughing!
Review: This has got to be one of the best MST3K video releases out there. The commentary is hilarious; a giant cricket attacks as one of the bots sings in a crackly voice "When You Wish Upon a Star". The segments are also enjoyable: Mike simulates the superb special effects in "The Beginning of the End" by using plastic grasshoppers and postcards. Crow does a dazzling Peter Graves imitation with his newly-developed screenplay of Mr. Graves in college: "Hello, I'm Peter Graves, and I am looking for the library." There were times when I had to stop the tape because I was laughing so hard and I didn't want to miss another joke. Add this episode to your collection, and you will watch it over and over again, just as I have.

Summary: The best MST3K on video!
Review: At least of those I've seen. The riffing in the Deadly Mantis was way better, but this one was still way up there! Until the Deadly Mantis or some better one comes on video, this will remain my favorite! This is a must-have for any MST3K collector!

Favorite Riff-Tom Servo: He's signing "Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!"

Summary: Creepy Fun!
Review: "Wow, did the director really do that?" Hilarious shots of crickets and grasshoppers mauling the citizens of Any Town, USA. You almost pity the helpless critters, working to keep this film crawling through the plot to the bloody end. Easy jokes abound within this script, and even silence from the Bots and Mike will make you crack up. I suggest grabbing this one for your Thanksgiving crowd, and reliving the Turkey Day's of yore. And if you're having a bad day, this movie will lift your sprits with it's romp through drama, mystery, action, adventure, romance (yep, in there too), and sci-fi. God, it's horribly bad, and oh-so good! Hi Keeba!

Summary: If you only buy ONE MST3K movie this year...
Review: ...you're not buying enough! This one should be in your top ten collection, that's for sure. Mike and the bots are merciless in this one, and the host segments are great. The comments made during the movie are hilarious!

Summary: A great trio of MST3K
Review: The Wild Wild World of Batwoman highlights this impressive three pack of MST3K. Each movie reprented here is a campy 1960's stinker well deserving of the MST3K treatment. A cinematic repository of astronauts, overdone generalizations, and lots and lots of go-go dancing. Don't miss this.

Summary: Top 10 MST3K
Review: Guaranteed one of the top 10 MST3Ks of all time.

This one is really, really good. Trust me, I've seen them all.

Buy it, you'll be rolling on the floor.

Summary: MST3K Fans SIT UP AND LISTEN
Review: What can you say about a deaf/mute growing giant tomatoes in Peter Grave's "lab". A feisty, brash reporter complete with cell phone in her 1950 Buick convertible calmly reporting an entire city annihilated by blood seeking insects. Chicagoans enjoying a day at Lake Michigan only to be chased away by 10 foot grasshoppers. (apparently car phones were "in" in the 50's while early warning systems were "not in service". Only the "Bots" and Tom can put the right "spin" on these scenes....and in true MST3K form, manage to get everyone ROLLING on the floor with tears of laughter. The first MST3K for our "collection"...and what a GEM! BUY THIS!
