Summary: AN ABSOLUTELY GREAT MOVIE!!!
Review: This is simply a GREAT movie!! Anything that has intelligence and deeper philosophical implicatons over pure fallacy deserves a place on the silver screen. Mathematically rich in Permutations, Descartes' Plane & Factors of prime numbers. Unless one has been deranged by the big hollywood chessy films where more special effects means less brainwork, then ignore this piece. But if hard independent filmwork and creative screenplay, not to mention a more talented human cast is up your alley, then this is a don't-miss. Definitely earned its place in sci-fi genre movies, up there with Arthur C. Clarke's 2001. Nicole deBoer wins you over by giving an extremely superb performance!!! Kudos!! A Definite Must-See!!

Summary: My God, I loved this movie.
Review: Maybe it was the brilliant nature of the screenplay. Maybe it was the moving portrayals and sheer emotion expressed by the actors and actresses. Maybe it was the complexity of the movie itself. All I know is that I'm still unable to move past the feeling of shock this movie left me with. While some of the story remains a mystery to the audience even after the climax, the overall film lends a wonderfully intricate story resolving in a truly unexpected final sequence. Additionally, Nicole de Boer was magnificent in the performance that will no doubt launch her American film career. Anyone who watches Cube will find her portrayal as Leaven, a sheltered math student, extraordinarily unforgettable. I don't care if you've never heard of it. I don't care if you're not interested in seeing it. I'm telling you that you do not want to miss this film. Buy it. Now.

Summary: Most suspenseful film of 1998
Review: It is truly astounding that "Cube" did not appear on more critics' top 10 lists; for sheer drama, suspense, and, most of all, allegory, this film had no peers in 1998. "Saving Private Ryan," Pleasantville," and "The Truman Show" may have bigger stars and flashier production, but none of them can match the profound, disturbing conclusion of "Cube." See this movie with your most thoughtful friends and debate what it says about human personality, centralized power, and our ultimate destiny in "the Cube" (i.e., Earth?). This is a fascinating, brilliant film. Rarely in the history of film have there been such audacious debuts. Don't miss "Cube"!

Summary: The best kind of humor..unintentional.
Review: There was nothing humorous in Cube's premise, in fact, my impression was that the movie would be a great suspense/horror flick. The five characters find themselves stripped of everything but their names trapped in a maze, where each room they entered could potentially hold a new way to die. Here's the problem, the characters talked through would be suspenseful moments. If the film been better written and better directed, true the humor would have been lost, but the film might have actually been good. The only redeeming quality this movie posessed was the level of melodrama on the part of the actors. Three months after seeing this film, I am still able to quote some of the particularly choice moments. See this film because it is entertaining. Expect it to live up to the standards of it's premise, and you will be disappointed.

Summary: Singular and nightmarish
Review: While the dialogue is often trite, the overall mood and the very setting of this film is quite worthwhile. This is especially true if you enjoy creepiness and dreamlike abandon. This film reminds me of a lot of dreams and nightmares I've had. A few steps above allegory. A long and sometimes gory romp through a bushel of phobias.

Summary: Top Notch!
Review: This the story of 5 people who find themselves placed in a maze-like prison, loaded with traps, for no apparent reason. The try to get along and get out. Full of suspense. Visually creepy. Very Twilight Zone.

Summary: cube..a great movie
Review: at first, i was very prone to not watching cube, because i'm not a huge fan of horror movies. well, i really don't think cube is a horror film, it's more of a phycological thriller. i'll be honest, at first glance i didn't feel like i would connect with any of the characters, but the acting becomes more intense as the film progresses. my personal favorite character was "Worth", because i could understand his position in society. also, as the movie progresses, you start to see the other sides of the characters trapped in this cube. the hero cop might seem like the hero, but you start to see his true colors, along with everyone else. i'd have to say this movie is at its best in the last 30 minutes, when the characters move into a whole new sense of despiration. overall, cube is really good and i would recommend it to anybody who could stand watching somebodies face getting melted off, because thats about as bloody as it gets. watch cube!

Summary: AN AMAZING MOVIE
Review: The first time I saw Cube, it was on cable, and all I saw was 30 minutes. After that, I couldn't stop trying to find it, I wanted to see the end, the beginning. But once I saw it, I learned: The movie starts INSIDE the cube. Never once do you glimpse the outside of the cube. The story of this movie simply blew me away. So many plot twists that its like riding a derailed train. The characters and their acting are both AWSOME. I strongly recommend this over Cube 2. Cube 2 sucks. =P

Summary: Love It or Hate It; I Choose the Latter
Review: Like human excrement in an art exhibit, some will say it's cutting edge, others will say it belongs in a toilet. The Cube is a similarly polarizing movie. You love it or hate it, as these reviews show.

Everything you need to know: one-dimensional characters meet in a matrix of three-dimensional cubes, and get diced up, sliced up, and deep fried just in time for a cliched non-resolving ending that no science fiction fan will find the least bit surprising.

Somebody flush.
