Summary: in space no one can hear you scream....
Review: just saw the screening premiere of jason x last nite at the local cinema and i have to say this is by far the most innovative installment in the entire series. however, i have a feeling the mpaa may have gotten it's hands on this one before it reached us by the looks of other reviews i've read here as i didn't find the film particularly gory at all. jason x will probably appeal to all those die hard fans of friday the 13th who simply had to catch every last film in this series during the early and late eighties but may actually appeal to sci-fi or fantasy fans as well. at times, jason x reminded me of a star trek episode or maybe even the matrix what with those incredible special effects. maybe even the terminator 2? i suppose i was expecting a hellraiser bloodline rip-off here but DEFINATELY not the case. the dialogue could be construed as cheesy at best and there is a great deal of intentional humor so don't walk into this one expecting to scared stiff or biting your fingernails. jason x does boast some fairly awesome special effects which is something that i don't recall seeing in any other friday the 13th sequel and i think this may be a change in the right direction. aside from the decent performance by lead actress lexa doig, don't expect anything spectacular in the line of acting. i mean, has anyone delivered a truly remarkable performance since betsy palmer in the first entry? she made one hell of a mother.(no pun intended here) visit jason x for nothing than an entertaining if not goofy sci-fi slasher flick.

Summary: Not too bad
Review: All in all waiting so long for another movie of Jason, we receive Jason in space.

When I first saw this preview I said to myself Pinhead in space.

Seeing this movie though, was really not that bad, the plot was decent and had some good action, too bad most of it happened all at the same time and those pieces that didn't only happened with 20 mins left to go.

This one is alot better than Part 8 though so it won't rate the worst.

I give it a 6 out of 10

Summary: Good for people who are new to the series...
Review: Well...thi movie certainly was interesting. I found it fairly entertaining, i mean, its Jason Voorhees killing people, right? But it was weird for me, being a long time Friday the 13th fan, seeing this one, him being all "upgraded" and stuff. It just didnt follow the old ones in that aspect. But if your new to the series, and have seen few/none of the original movies, than im sure you would enjoy this. It VERY action packed, and theres much blood and gore. I really didn't find myself becoming scared at all in this movie, which is definately a downside. Although i did find one certain scene in this movie EXTREMELY funny, he has a girl in a sleeping bag and hes swinging her like a sack of potatoes onto another girl in a sleeping bag whos on the floor screaming, then he throws the sleeping bag into a tree, and the sleeping bags cease to move...that scene i found really really funny. The sound in the movie i found AWESOME, so thats a plus. But it is definately worth the money to see it in the theatres, but im not so sure about the [price] for the dvd. I'm going to buy it though just becuase it's still technically Friday the 13th part 10, so i need it in my collection. Hope this helps!

Summary: Over Four Centuries Old and Still Kicking...
Review: Just got my hands on a copy of Jason X, coming out next week. And as a fan, this doesn't disappoint in the least. You want gore? You got plenty. Some of the most creative deaths happen here. How about sex? Sure, you got it. Even the sex has a little extra spin on it, thanks to Todd Farmer actually giving a damn about the quality of the script. Farmer and director Jim Isaac compensate for any obviously lacking common sense by making sure their audience is entertained through the whole 90 minutes. And for that, they definitely succeed. The clincher has to be the hologram scene that comes near the end. I won't say what it is, but it's a reminder of how far Jason Voorhees has come.

I tell the fans this. Please go into this movie with an open mind. Don't think that this is gonna be the worst out of all of them and disregard it as SpaceCamp Crystal Lake. And please don't demand the 'old Jason.' We've had the old Jason for eight movies, for Christ's sakes! It's time to move on. It's time to give the man something new. Enough of the 'I hear something in the pitch black basement, so I better light a candle and see what it is.' Been there, done that.

The worst thing you can do is bore your audience, and the best way to do that is to keep telling the same story. This is not a continuing saga anymore. Paramount did that. But this is New Line's baby now, and they should be applauded for caring about the character enough to want to do something new and exciting with him. Think of this now as an anthology series with the same character in the center of new situations, and you should be okay.

Summary: ITS JASON X BABY!!
Review: I've recently just seen a copy of Jason X. Before seeing the movie, I was absolutely pumped. I mean we haven't seen a new "Friday" movie in nearly 10 years so this was really exciting for me. So how was it?

Well I am happy to say that while it does have its flaws, Jason X doesn't disappoint.

The opening credits start off very creatively(for a Jason movie that is) where we get to see inside Jason's head and get to see his brain and all. Pretty neat stuff, cause I never would of expected it in this movie. After the opening credits we start off at some research place where we get our first glimpse of ole jason where he is all chained up on a harness.(how he got there is beyond me) Scientists are studying him to try to find out what he is all about. From there Jason gets loose and the first killings begin. After a few kills, Jason and a hot girl are cryogenically frozen together only to be unfrozen 100s of years later and then the real carnage begins!!

Well, I can tell you that for a relatively low budget movie this baby looks pretty good. The set designs and space ship all look top notch. You'll be surprised you aren't watching James Camerons Aliens or something-they're that good.

As for the acting, well this is a Friday the 13th movie. So you cant expect anything top notch. Its not awful, (actually its probably the best in a while) but its nothing special. The teens are basically just as dumb as ever and you'll know who's gonna be killed. All they think about is sex, sex, and more sex. There are some very hot chicks in this movie, most notably, the lead female. Kane Hodder on the other hand is in fine form here. He does Jason better than anyone, and he just has this role down perfect. His look is a little different than in the previous movies but he's still the same badmother he's always been.Though you gottta wonder why his mask keeps changing from movie to movie. There is also an android character here that is surprisingly funny and enjoyable to watch(especially when we see her kicking Jasons ass) and was greatly appreciated here. As for the script, well it contains some pretty bad dialogue at times(as mentioned earlier, this is a Friday movie) but doesn't get out of hand too much. My favorite line has to be "Its gonna take more than that to bring this old dog down......yeah, that outta do it." This comes from the tough sergeant dude and is pretty funny.

Now, you're probably wondering about the gore. Is there alot? Or does it disappoint? Well i'd say its easily one of the more gruesome entries in a while. We get some creative killings here, my favorite being when Jason forces a girls head into some kind of frozen liquid where her head freezes completely and then Jason smashes her head against a counter top. Cool stuff. There's also plenty of gun shots at Jason. In the end, we get a pretty high body count here, probably one of the highest(if not highest) in the series. You won't be disappointed here.

And then there's the UBER Jason. I was mixed on this.On one hand its something new for the series, which is good because its basically been the same old same old for all the movies. On the other hand it seems kinda stupid seeing Jason all "high tech" looking. He basically looks like some kind of super robot. Ever see Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles part 2? Remember Super Shredder? Uber Jason kinda reminded me of him alot. And that's not a good thing. Jason Voorhees should look like Jason Voorhees. Nuff said.

But in the end, I came out of the movie extremely satisfied. Just about all you could want in a Friday movie is here. I got all the Jason, blood and gore, and hot chicks I could ask for. Its Jason X baby, and you wont be disappointed.

Summary: Jason X
Review: Jason is back! This time he is slashing his way around a doomed spaceship... Wow! It's Event Horizon meets Friday The 13th with a little of Aliens mixed in... The future setting for the film makes me wonder if we will ever see that Freddy Vs Jason battle New Line has been promising for years. Obviously Jason X seems to be set long after that.. but who knows? If Freddy and Jason met in hell prior to this film it seems that Jason was the victor. but it still could go either way. This movie is a great additon to the existing Friday the 13th series of films, it is also the most unique.

Summary: Not the best but a welcome entry in the Jason saga.
Review: ...
The movie starts off quite well despite the whole thing about lack of continuity. Jason is in chains, gets loose, and kills people. It is at this point in the movie that David Cronenberg can be seen in a cool cameo.
400 years after being tricked into a cryogenic freezing chamber, Jason and his would-be victim are thawed out by some students on a spaceship visiting 'old earth'. The majority of the kills take place here on the ship.
The deaths are at times entertaining but some are pretty straightforward.
I agree with some of the statements about the rotten acting in this movie. It isn't that great. I don't suppose that is the point though.
I won't mention any specifics but the good does outweigh the bad in this movie.
The action heats up towards the end after a bit of a slump in the middle and things get interesting. Jason's new look is a pretty nifty idea but I can't say I'd like it to stay that way if they decide to make more of these movies. It was fun to see though.
Overall, this is worth seeing but it is more in line with parts 3, 7, 8, and 9. If you're a Friday fanatic that won't make any difference to you.

Summary: I'am a Jason fan,but this movie could of been a lot better..
Review: I was going through my morpheus one day and stumbled onto Jason X! I was so excited when I could download it and it took a long time to download, but i didnt care. When it was finished downloading, I immediately watched it and didn't get what i wanted from this film. I mean, Kane Hodder was excellent in this film, but the other actors needed alittle more work, though. I liked watching it, but later when we get into the end, it kind of goes downhill. So, if you like just slasher, horror flicks, this is the movie for you. I have seen all the Jason's and i think this is by the most entertaining, not scary, but entertaining.

Summary: This Movie is not Horror.....it's.....HORRIBLE!!!!!!
Review: I downloaded this movie back in november, and let me tell you, this movie WAS NOT EVEN WORTH THE DOWNLOAD!!! Movie is stupid, the plot does not make any sense, but SOME of the action seens are ok. The Captin of the ship looks like Kevin Kelly from the WWF, While the kid that lives at the end falls in love with a robot head (getting weirder anyone?). Before the movie ends, Jason becomes "ROBO JASON" and he looks EXACTLY like Lord Zedd from Power Rangers. PLEASE...DON'T BLOW $10 BUCKS AT THE MOVIES TO SEE THIS MOVIE!!! IT'S NOT WORTH IT AT ALL!!!! FIND IT ON THE NET IF YOU MUST OR SIMPLY....SKIP IT!!!!!
