Summary: Not Scary
Review: Not scary, and it wasn't suppose to be! The Friday the 13th series slowly but surely converted itself from horror to action! This movie has a lot of action and is really funny. This is a movie that is just fun to watch, but if you think you are intelligent, don't see this, we wouldn't want you posers out there to feel stupid.

Summary: "The absolute best, just as good as Jason Takes Manhattan!"
Review: Well, from my review you can tell that I loved this movie just as much as I loved Jason Takes Manhattan, so allow me to break it all down for you. Jason X takes place in the year 2455, on a Class V Catamaran transport ship full of teens, teachers, and the E-X Grunts, who are a special forces crew hired to protect the ship. On an archeological expedition on the now dead and wasted planet Earth, they have discovered the cyrogenically frozen bodies of 19-year-old female scientist, Rowan (Lexa Doig), and the notorious killer himself, Jason Voorhees (Kane Hodder). Rowan is easily reanimated back on the spaceship (which is called Grendel), and to their misfortune, Jason defrosts and lives again. He begins to eliminate everybody on the ship, one by one, until finally the android, Kay-Em 14 (Lisa Ryder) is uploaded and blows Jason to Hell. But, unfortunately, Jason lands on a regeneration/reanimation table and is transformed into Uber-Jason, a new, extremely beefy metal Jason, who is now basically completely unbeatable...
Well, I'd have to tell you that the reason most people hate this movie is because it takes place on a spaceship instead of on Earth at Crystal Lake. But I happen to think differently, I really like the idea that they pulled Jason away from Crystal Lake, landed him on a spaceship, gave him a whole new look, and increased the body count incredibly. Jason doesn't turn to Uber-Jason until about 2/3 of the movie is up, but I think New Line did a good job at making the regular Jason a bit more muscular (even though Kane Hodder, who used to be a wrestler, has played the killer since part 7), and the hockey mask has changed. The holes on it are further apart, it only bares the red triangle in the middle of the forehead but just above the eyeholes, and the nose is more narrow and halfway towards being completely flat instead of the oval-shaped nose that sticks out like on the previously worn hockey masks. Uber-Jason had an extremely cool look, and I really liked how they finally were smart enough to give him red eyes, I always thought they should have since day one. I also liked his new mask, I liked how it stayed true to the old mask but at the same time looked like something that is completely new and mysterious. And I would like to say that Mr. Hodder did a better job as Jason in this than in any of the other films, and I thought it was creepy in the beginning when Jason was walking after Rowan and it was just his silhouette because of that bright light behind him (a.k.a. the scene where he followed Rowan to the Cryo-stasus chamber). So, DVD or VHS, it doesn't matter, Jason X is movie that I think any true-blue Jason fan should see, or even if you're in the mood for a good horror/sci-fi slasher flick. Keep an eye out for similar films such as Freddy vs. Jason (being filmed as you read this in Toronto/Ontario, Canada), and Terminator 3, due in theatres July 2, 2003.

Review: this movie was quite disappointing compare to the previous tittles in the series....the writer of Jason x must of been more learning towards horror/comedy like the great "army of darkness" which originated form the horror movies of evil dead and evil dead 2 but then leaned towards a comedy at the last movie....sum parts weren't very scary at all they just make you laugh....and there were only like a couple of really unique deaths in the film, I still feel like all I seen was Jason run around squishing peoples heads lol. incunclosion if your looking for a really scary movie... don't get this movie. although if your a fan of Jason and you are looking for a movie that is really cool interesting and a little scary buy it. I just hope the new Freddy vs. Jason =)being filmed in Vancouver as I write =) is still made with the old fashion magic us horror fans love

Summary: Why can't they make them like they used to????
Review: I wish that I could sit here and write how much of a great movie this was. I wish!! The truth is, this movie was horrible!! Although some of the killings were "interesting" the rest of the movie just didn't make any sense. The writing was bad, the acting was bad! To me, the highlight of this series was parts 1 through 4. These movies just flowed together. part 5 came out, and it was different... they all continued to be different. I did enjoy part 6 and 7, but they were a completely different style. Jason x goes beyond this! This is right up there with "Jason goes to hell". It is sickening how much the writers tried to appeal to teens with the writing style. This screenplay is so bad!!! This movie is just a killing spree! one death after another with a few good special effects!! My advice to the writers and producers of this series; Stop trying so hard! Keep it simple. It worked in the begining, it will work now!

Summary: The best 'Friday the 13th' sequel!
Review: Well, what do we have here? The tenth instalment in what appears to be a never-ending series of slasher movies: the "Friday the 13th" saga. After the incredibly poor "Jason Goes to Hell", the series gets back on track, and finds the titular mass-murderer slicing up teenagers in space....It may sound lame, but the self-mocking tone of the movie actually gives the whole premise some support.

After being chrogenically frozen, the fiend that is Jason Vorhees (Kane Hodder) is thawed out hundreds of years later, by a space crew. But he isn't the only person they discovered. Cue incredibly gory death scenes, and some flashy interstellar warfare (you certainly won't be missing Camp Crystal Lake).

Mayor fans of the series will no doubt dislike the space setting, but newcomers probably won't mind. Like any true 'Friday' film, the deaths are imaginative, and this is arguably the goriest entry since the original.

If you can look past the poor dialogue and the limp final frame, this is definitely a horror/comedy hybrid that will more than please you.

Summary: Where's The Gore?
Review: I'm a BIG Jason fan and I went to see this movie with an open mind. ...It [stunk] to put it bluntly. All I saw was neck breakings and some throats being slashed. Hardly the inventive killings of the "old school F13th days". Where's The Gore? As a writer I've been disappointed with the plotholes these so-called "writers" left in the last 3 movies. There's NO plotline continuity whatsoever that the older movies had! They should have stuck with the Crystal Lake Mythologies instead of the ...plotlines of 8 9 and 10(X). Kane Hodder as Jason is awesome, but since he won't be playing him in Freddy vs. Jason that will probably [stink] too. Jason X had some moments but overall, not that great.

Summary: An Actual Plot
Review: Jason X stands alone in the Friday Series. After Part One the series tended to take on the same plot each time. Meaning some kids go into the woods around Crystal Lake and don't come back. In order to revive the series its creators, three times, tried slightly different plots. Part 5: Jason wasn't the killer, Part Seven: Brought Back to Life & Killed by a girl with Telekinesis (Remember Carrie), Part 8: Jason takes on NYC. But Jason X is different, it sets out to take Jason to Space in the year 2455. Sounds Corny, but in Jason X you'll find there's something different about the teenagers themselves. They actually have a sense of purpose, an agenda, a reason for being out in the middle of nowhere. Not only that, but they have real problems that go beyond Jason. They end up not only surviving Jason, but the eventual destruction of their ship. I never thought I'd live to see the day when a Friday movie (exception to One) actually had a plot of its own.

Summary: Evil gets an cool upgrade
Review: Jason X is(as we all know) the tenth film in the Friday The 13th series which is now 22 years old and there still fun to watch. The newest Jason flick takes place in all places space.I thought."What the hell are they thinking?Jason in space."It sounded so dumb,I changed my mind when I saw the trailer for it and it looked so cool and new.It was cool to see the new ways that Jason kills the kids in this entry and yes,I loved his new UberJason look.No there's no plot as always, but it's an awesome way to kill 90 minutes of your time. Now deliver Jason Vs Freddy!!!

Summary: Vorhees A So-So Fellow
Review: Horror fans, like me, have long supported the "Friday the 13th" franchise, it's escapist fun and clever use of dismemberments have made the films main character, Jason Vorhees, a pop icon.
His legacy and blood soaked cliches continue in this volume of the series, but unfortunately what was once a low-budget creepshow, has become a digital EFX showcase.
That's not necessarily a bad thing especially if any cash has come out of your wallet to watch it.
Your money, believe it or not, is on the screen. But great set designs, CGI effects and costumes can't save the novice cast, or us, from "Jason X".
