Summary: Where is mew? And why are there nidoqueen's as baby's?
Review: Don't get me wrong if it sounds like i don't like the movie but wheres mew? At the end of the first movie, mew flies with mewtwo and the other cloned pokemon. And why do they have baby nidoqueens in it? Othorwise i Love this movie more than the first. lots of action, and the way mewtwo look's when the two robots are attacking him!
this is the best movie EVER!!!

Summary: Pokemon
Review: It's an okay show but it would have been more interesting if the characters spoke real English. Saying their own names as their native language is incomprehensible and dumb, and the story becomes less than entertaining.

Summary: okay
Review: THIS dvd is not what i call a movie, its a sequel to pokemon the movie 2,
its not that good, it doesnt really have a strong meaning or anything, it like watching pokemon the movie 1,its about clones and team rocket wanting to take mew 2 again, and ash helps him again, the only new thing in this movie is that ash and misty and gang will remember and not forget, and that there is a new pokemon trainer called black tulip and she is like the star of team rocket, and then giovanni tried to build his new factory or hideout in mew2s home, but ash and gang stop him in time and mew 2 sends them to a different world,
thats it, if u wanna real good pokemon movie, it would be pokemon 3 or 2 but i recommend pokemon 3

Summary: Mewto Returns is the greatest!
Review: For this I give it five stars. For one thing, the sound is great. Mewtwo's anger is really cool, and also that as soon as you see Mewtwo, you don't thingk he does much anything ,but finally you see him make himself and other characters float in the air while the evil Giovanni tries to capture him. It was cool when Giovannii makes those new robots. This movie is great and it's also very funny. Like for example when Brock put his frying pan over his head and then got hit in the head with a giant raindrop and then made all the gang crash down intoa giant tree.

Summary: Unengaging
Review: Contrary to the other reviews here, I was left underwhelmed by "Mewtwo Returns."

Now, don't get me wrong. I like Pokemon. I'm not a mad fan, or anything, but I like to watch it, and so I picked up "Mewtwo Returns" from a local store that had the price slashed down to a third for clearance.

It begins quite promisingly, with the usual Poke-setup of "our heroes" going on their way, and Team Rocket in the background, scheming away, and plenty of puns and sight gags. However, after about twenty minutes (that's a third of the film, kids), it becomes increasingly obvious that not a lot is really going to happen in this movie.

Mewtwo is perhaps the movie's main minus point, ironically enough. In "Pokemon: The First Movie," he was a great character because he was so powerful and because he *fought.* But in this movie, he's totally opposed to fighting - and when you consider that the entire Pokemon franchise is BASED on fighting, you know that's not the best thing to focus a movie on.

Mewtwo is brimming with angst, and normally I'd say that's a good thing, but in this case, it's totally unengaging angst that anyone who's read a "Spider-Man" comic in the last decade or so will have heard all before.

There so little action in this film that's it's painful. Instead, it's just endless soliloquays from Mewtwo, and one particularly monotonous scene where a clone Pikachu yammers on to Ash's Pikachu, and they squeak back and forth as Meowth translates it into possibly THE weakest "dramatic" dialogue that has graced the Pokemon series.

When Giovanni and the Team Rocket combat squad arrive, there's a lot of threatening about the possibility of some action actually *happening*... but alas, no. It's just more posturing by Giovanni and Mewtwo. Whenever Mewtwo pulls off his big final stunt, it's all done from a distance, then the screen fades to black, and we come back, and it's all happened off-screen.

The dull and cliched "we must protect the environment" sub-plot is hugely unnecessary, and only results in more empty, needless scenes that could be filled with something interesting.

The movie's score is dull and sparse - there isn't even any kind of rendition of the Pokemon theme.

Summary: I eat cockie
Review: Sometimes I sniff my own balls. Even though it's a bad smell, it makes me hungry. So I eat my bum-bum biscuits to sooth my abdominal hunger thrust. Then I fart and poop and fart in between the poops. This makes me happy. So I say watch this movie, and eat my bum-bum biscuits with chocolate syrup.

Summary: Mewtwo is back!
Review: Mewtwo returns in this TV special from Japan (i have the English Version)
Mewtwo and the clones go to a remote region in Johto. Nobody remembers about Mewtwo except the leader of Team Rocket, Giovanni. Giovanni wants to recapture mewtwo and put Mewtwo in his control.

Summary: A good translation? You bet it is!
Review: There are those diehard Pokemon fans who have seen the Japanese original stuff, and are dismayed that when it's dubbed, it gets altered big time, like Mewtwo Strikes Back, where the more questionable stuff is taken out and replaced with more 'kid friendly' stuff, and not to mention the song during the battle between the Pokemon and their clones.

But for the next two movies, 4Kids, the company responible for producing the dubbed version of Pokemon, improved with each movie, by not putting pop songs in the middle of the second movie, Revelation Lugia/The Power of One, and then truly sticking to the original story in the third movie.

Now it seems that 4Kids is really focusing on doing direct translations, as their work with Mewtwo Returns has shown. They kept the philosophical musings of Mewtwo, who believed that due to his birth, he doesn't belong with the natural born, and neither does the clones he created. As he ponders where the clones have a place in the world at large, the leader of Team Rocket, Giovanni, has located Mewtwo, and wants to reclaim him.

In the end, Mewtwo is severly injured(that's right, he's not invincible) by Giovanni's machines, and ends up being rescued to his surprise by Ash Ketchum, the trainer who confronted him in the first movie. There are a lot more details, but I'll leave you to find out what.

By the way, even though the packaging claims that Mewtwo Returns is a movie, it was really the first special one hour Pokemon episode that aired in Japan of Dec. 2000. The Second special Pokemon episode that had aired is Pokemon Crystal: Legend of Thunder Raikou, which has all new characters, and doesn't feature any of the regular anime cast.

If your deciding whether to get the DVD or the VHS version, get the DVD, because it includes Mewtwo's Origin, the UNCUT version. The one released with the Pokemon the First Movie videos had about ten minutes missing, which delved into the reasons the professor wanted to create a Pokemon that survived the cloning process. He had a daughter, named Amber, that died in a tragic accident, and he hopes through the 'miracle' of cloning, he'll get his daughter back. I won't spoil anymore of this short, but it is not the happy world of Pokemon that the TV series portrays.

In short get Mewtwo Returns anyways, it is hardly the level of 'kiddyness' that Nintendo or Pokemon is famous for, and that quailty of this dub is only a sign on how the future dub of Celebi, A Timeless Encounter, will be like.

Summary: Where's Mew?
Review: Don't get me wrong I llllllllllooooooooovvvvvvveeeee Mewtwo, but Mew is my all-time favirote and she only appears in 2 scenes! I gave the movie 5 stars 'cause it has Mewtwo in it and all of his cute'n'cuddly clones(Meowth's my fav one!)I really think Mewtwo did the right thing at the end and suprisingly,he didn't even try once to kill Giovanni like I expected.
P.S I HATE all Team Rocket except Jesse,James and Meowth 'cause Mewtwo is a super rare pokemon, and they didn't try once to get him.
