Summary: Jerry Maquire almost makes you love Tom Cruise!
Review: I'll admit it; I've never been a big fan of Tom Cruise - UNTIL THIS MOVIE! Cruise really sinks his teeth into the role of formerly jaded sports agent, Jerry Maguire, who finally has a brush of concious; thus realizing, it's "not just all about the money!" (Something else I never knew about Cruise before this movie, either, is that he can actually be quite funny)! No, you do NOT have to be into sports to enjoy this film. It's more of a dialogue, relationship type story, with a major romantic twist thrown in! The movie is not only FUN to watch, (very intelligently written, great depth of character, some extrememly amusing lines), it also has A LOT of heart and sole. The only thing that irritated me about it, was Renee Zwellinger's wispy, childlike voice. Other than that, though, this is one Tom Cruise movie that's DEFINITELY worth owning!

Summary: Above the average comedy-drama!
Review: This movie has a lot of things going for it. The directing and the script raise it above the average comedy-drama, but it's the performances of Tom Cruise and Cuba Gooding Jr. that really make it exceptional. It describes real human relationships and bonds, hard to find these days in movies, but most important it's a guaranteed good-time, it's extremely entertaining. One of the best films of 1996. See this movie!

Review: it's a reason that Cuba Gooding JR got all the juice.he was the best thing about the film.and let me not forget Regina King.this film showed Black folks with class,status&down to earth.as for the other actors Tom Cruise is Hollywood's BOy.he is Money.i've never felt that he could act his way out of a paper bag but he has always had the right script to make him look good.he is vastly overrated.Renee Zellweger is over acting she is really lame same goes for the kid.this film tries to many things all at once.

Review: I was enjoying this movie until Renee Zellweger's spineless character came into the picture. And I'm glad that I wasn't the only person who thought that the kid was annoying! The movie became a slow and sappy chick flick instead of being the strong and fresh sports film that I had anticipated on seeing! But I have to say, Cuba's got the hottest body ever featured on film!...Lord have mercy!

Review: See this movie, and fall in love, I loved this movie I see like 30 times, is incredible, the details, the message, and the star, I love that woman, wow, is so beauty, and kindness, i dont know if she in the real life is like the his role, but in the role Is the best woman in the world. tom Cruise made a great work, one of his best, (I like interview with the vampire too). I recommend this movie, really a good. movie, because you learn about the friendship, and the higs and down of the life, and how stan up, again whe you fall, and the producer is James. L brook. what more can you from a fillm?

Summary: Some interesting things
Review: I saw the neutered version on TV so I missed out on the scenes that made it a rated R. Many comments have been made about the sex scene at the beginning. While what I saw was pretty disturbing, it did illustrate the difference between people who have a relationship based on respect and those who may be part of a relationship because it is financially and socially beneficial. The show has some good emotional demonstrations that almost every body can relate as well. Overall, it causes you to think about quite a few important "softer" aspects of life. You'll get out of it what you put into it.

Summary: SHOW ME MY MONEY BACK!
Review: Who would have thought that Tom Cruise would play the all-american-loveable-but-vulnerable-goodlooking-diamond-in-the rough-worldly-yet-naive-all-around-hunky-good-guy? So, for everyone who has seen this film it's no shock that Cruise is back here doing the same old thing, only for even longer with more annoying co-stars (his love interest and her irritating son are appalling!) Cuba Gooding Jnr is great and is responsible for both of the stars I gave this film. A weepy, woe is me, glutton for punishment, chick flick which is only worth seeing if you think Tom is the man!

Summary: Excellent script, acting and direction;fast paced-feels good
Review: Truly an enjoyable film which can be watched more than once. Repeat viewings will bring out nuances missed previously. Found the film so entertaining, forgot those were just actors. Hey Jay, you Snake! How can we ever see you in anything else without watching our backs? The theme of good girl helps overly ambitious guy find his scruples is timeless and done as well as it ever has been; harking back to Hollywood's golden era. All of the supporting performances were excellent. Cruise and Zellweger make a fun combination to watch. The juxtaposition of the macho big business world of profesional sports and the cynical, closer to home world of a divorced women's group touches on the pulse of our society. Greed is not good and loving well is truly the sweetest revenge. The only drawback is that the kids who were so cute and so lovable in the film, couldn't get in the theater to watch themselves on the big screen due to the 'R' rating. The for-profit formula sex scene and injudicious overuse of four letter language detracts from what could otherwise have been a 5 star film. Did you know the human head weighs eight pounds?

Summary: Great Feel Good Movie
Review: Talk about being rough on this film. Some people really hated this movie. Others think its the best. Well it isn't my favorite but I certainly find it to be extremely enjoyable. Tom Cruise is at his best as a sports agent who is fired by his firm and slowly builds himself up through love and support. True, there are some objectional words not to mention a fairly graphic sex scene yet there is something that everyone can take from the movie in the end. If your a fan of great comedy with some meaning to it I recomemd it.
