Summary: VERY guilty pleasure
Review: Originally shot for theatrical release, then shunted directly to video (and that in the clearance bins), "Repli-Kate" is a surprisingly entertaining movie. Taken on its own terms (essentially a very vulgar "Weird Science" meets Maxim magazine, it's not for the easily offended), it's occasionally laugh-out-loud hilarious.

Its 1980s-style drawbacks can be severe. For example, the monumentally bad ending illustrates that jokes without storytelling results in an aimless "Gotta wrap this thing up" feeling. But I've seen worse make it to theaters and into the $100 million club. They may as well have given this a chance.

In a pleasant case of violated expectations, relative newcomer Ali Landry is the funniest person in the movie. She's not only stunningly beautiful head to toe (Hormone check: Lots of skimpy lingerie but no real nudity) but also a sharper, more natural actress than other models. She is relaxed and gets the jokes.

Summary: A College Movie for the Smart Guy
Review: This is a great throwback to eighties comedies that are a little crude, yet full of laughs and memorable characters. I saw this DVD on the bargain rack at the store and only bought it cause it was so cheap. I didn't expect much, but I think it's one of the best comedies of the past five years. No big special effects, or A-list actors, but very entertianing and funny. James Roday is a very funny grad nerd. Ali Landry is hot. Eugene Levy is just great. (...)

Summary: Ali Landry is a very good actress...hire her.
Review: This movie is very under rated. Ali landry performs a dual role and does a fantastic job. As other reviewers have noted, she gets the jokes. That means she has the skill to use her facial and body movements the correct way. Her expressions fit the situation. Unlike some actresses that are just there...a bland stare or expressionless. Landry knows how to be funny, sexy, cute, and more. Wow! Please give her a role in a film, soon!

Summary: MUCH BETTER THAN I THOUGHT!
Review: Wasn't expecting much from this little rental, and was surprised to find it both funny and sweet. It was a little shaky in the beginning, but once the central idea of the movie kicked in -- teaching the clone how to be a guy, then having the REAL girl show up again -- the movie really kicked into gear.

Lots of fun, farce-like setpieces follow, with classic mistaken identity and intentions. The performances were all solid, especially Ali Landry, who's unbelievably sexy and spends about half the movie in her underwear. The British guy from the movie GO is really funny too, and the redheaded nerdy character Felix is good as well. And Eugene Levy is great as always!

Overall, a real surprise. THe more I write the more I realized how much I liked the movie. Give it a shot!

Summary: trust a French guy if you can
Review: Well, listen to this. I am 37 and I am a French guy living in France. I first saw this movie on sale today in a French supermarket. the theme of the movie caught my eyes but i thought this is probably a very bad movie. It just looks good but there is nothing behind it. I went to Amazon to check the critics and they were excellent but only 6 of them. The movie is practically unknown to the public. Then I decided "let's go for it" and I returned to buy it along with a pizza and a pack of beer. Let me tell you that there is no need to sip the beers to enjoy this movie. I have seen so many movies those last 20 years and You can trust me if I tell you that this is a great comedy! it doesn't even look in any way as a cheap movie. Just is a great one. I just don't understand why it didn't came out on the big screens!
I was afraid the actors would have a goofy and unbelievable way of acting as it is often the case in cheap comedies but they are believable and you can go buy it right away.
